Why stay here when you can stay at The Ruby a block away? Not as noisy, better beds and a terrific funky vibe. Ruby2 has better parking, a prime location and rooms devoid of any style or inspiration. The choice is yours!

This is a cute boutique hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly. However if there is an issue with the room, which the staff too admit after checking the room out at 2AM they should compensate the guest with a free one night or a free one night on return, for the most uncomfortable night. I know the hotel was full. As a business woman I would have done that. I am not a cheap person and I was not going to suggest it. The only thing I did suggest was for them to go into that room shut the ... Read more

This place is located right downtown, next to the Davenport, Its a great little place that's gone through a major overhaul, paint, new decor, new air/heat conditioner, and probably new management. There is an exercise room, free breakfast, great staff, and $5 parking that's way below standard cost for downtown. The downsides are no in room coffee, bad for us caffeine nuts, and it's next to the rail tracks so can be noisy! luckily for me I pack ear plugs, my wife's snoring makes the train seem ... Read more

Spend a bit of money on insulation for the rooms around the elevator. Buy a queen bed or two, don't lie to guests about bed size. The hotel was obviously thrown together it's a flip and I get it, sure it's better than it was.

We've stayed here before. Funky decorations, nice clean rooms, helpful staff, good coffee in the morning. It's an easy walk to downtown. All good! Associated with Ruby down the street, 2 for 1 drink at that lounge is a nice treat.

Great little boutique hotel, fully updated with a funky colour scheme, artistic oversized wall murals and a starlight diveway! Inexpensive and very close to everything in Spokane including Riverfront park. Friendly staff, free breakfast and free use of rental bicycles, you can't beat the Ruby 2. See you next time we're in Spiokane!

Ruby2 was a great place to stay in Spokane. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and up-to-date. The gym was fine. Breakfast was about average, but with good coffee. The hotel offers bikes for guests to use. I loved the mosaics, murals, and black and white movie projected outside at night!

New renovated hotel with great stuff. They really think how to make your stay pleasant. The train near by the hotel didn't make our stay worth, so it adds additional beauty to this hotel. We had Charley Chaplin movie on the wall in the parking lot which was something unique.

There are so many small details the hotel has that make it special and unique, from a photo booth at check in to old movies projected on the exterior wall each night. Ruby2 blew us away with its utter fabulousness! We booked it merely because it was conveniently located as a place to lay our heads for the night and the photos made it look like a nice modern boutique-ish renovation of a mid-century motor lodge. Breakfast was fairly limited in terms of variety and healthy choices, and of course everything was served on disposable plates, utensils, etc, with nothing recyclable thus generating mountains of trash. Staff was friendly, murals on the outdoor walls were nice.

Clean newly renovated room, friendly staff, good location. General breakfast but sufficient. Good walking distance to riverfront park & Spokane arena for the concert we attended. Would definitely stay there next time.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was fantastic. They directed us to the places we wanted to go. The motel is within walking distance of Riverfront Park, Spokane Falls as well as various eating places. May be we can return to celebrate another anniversary in the future.

We love staying here. We love how artsy it is and the location is amazing. You can go on foot all over downtown. We really like the buy one get one free drink at the Sapphire lounge, it kicks off our evening wonderfully and the food is good too. Really nice staff too!

Constant trains passing by the hotel. I had to relocate to another room due to previous smoking in the room they originally gave me. My car was dented in the parking garage. Staff was great and room was clean.

Even though we reserved and checked in very late, we managed to get a room at Ruby2 without any problem. Perfect location, the most comfortable bed ever and we got it for an excellent price (last minute deal) =)

We thought we would try out a new motel and re-discover our city. This was a great central location to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The renovation was modernly nostalgic, and the room was exceptionally clean and simple. The bed was a bit hard and the ear plugs are a nice free give away at the front desk since the train was really close, but amazingly to how close it was, it was way more quiet then I had thought it would be. We were looking forward to the free nostalgic bike ride that we coul... Read more

The Ruby 2 is very convenient in downtown Spokane. It is closer walking from Amtrak than the Ruby by about 2 blocks. It is around the corner from the renovated Steam Plant shops. My room also had a full bath tub which is getting harder to find in hotels.

I stayed here on a staycation and I was very surprised at how nice the room was and the amenities. The staff was great and my room was cleaned every day. I would recommend this too anyone and for $66 a night it was well worth it.

Very good value for a short stay. Clean (strong odor of cleaning chemicals), good beds, nice bathroom. This is an above average economy motel. Good location in downtown Spokane. Near several nice hotels which are a lot more expensive. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Breakfast wasn't anything worth getting excited about. Cold cereals, hard cooked eggs, English muffins, tea and coffee. Waffle maker with only basic accompaniments.

Staff is professional. Beds are comfortable. Spacious room. Shower and bathroom- updated and clean. Slept like a rock. Would have enjoyed a coffee maker in my room but oh well. Enjoyed a cup with breakfast.

We stayed her on our way to Seattle and one night was enough for us. The rooms are not what we're used to and the hotel was fully booked, parking was okay but it costs $5.00 per day. The breakfast offering was okay but nothing spectacular. It's a motel style set up and the rooms were redone with some fresh paint, decorations, etc. but it doesn't hide the noisy train that you can hear from your room. The rooms were clean though but bed and comfort is not what we're used to.

If price is a leading factor for you then this hotel is perfect. It's clean with sparsely furnished rooms. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom and a very good location. The rooms are very small with one rickety chair. There's no coffee in room however the frig is better than average with a micro wave. Parking on site is $5 and is spread between the outside area of the motel and a well lit underground area (which is where you will find the ice machine). Our room was on the first floor in the cor... In the past, when in Spokane, I've stayed at the Davenport hotels. We thought we would try something new, and spend a little less this time. Ruby2 was perfect. The rooms were clean and attractively decorated. There was a huge beautiful shower and nice toiletries available. The staff was very attentive, providing shaving cream and a razor, and a coffee pot with coffee when requested. The complimentary breakfast included a pretty good assortment to choose from.

The people at the Ruby are great, but I cannot stay again there because of the train. I assume that the train crossing in the downtown area affects a lot of hotels in Spokane. Otherwise the city is a nice city to visit because of its architecture and parks.

Friendly check-in, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, funky retro decor, easy access, and breakfast included for a very reasonable price. Cheap parking also available. We highly recommend this hotel!

The room's view and, by extension, the view of the whole hotel was stunning. When even the parking garage is classy, you know you've chosen well. I will absolutely put this hotel at the top of my list for the next trip.

We've stayed at the Ruby last year and thought we should try Ruby2. Enjoyed it! We reserved a King with refrigerator and a little 2 person table - it seemed more spacious than the original Ruby but has the same Hollywood theme. There are some really nice touches outside that make it a little unique. The train noise did not bother us, but we were on the 3rd floor across from it. Bed was a bit firm but so comfortable we woke up after breakfast was cleaned up. This is a nice place that cares ab... Read more

Loved my comfortable room, art on the exterior walls, and location - I walked to Manito Park (a beautiful FREE city park with lots of gardens within the park) and Riverfront Park. I selected this motel based on Trip Advisor reviews. It's a great downtown motel without high prices.

Location was great as we were attending an event at the Davenport. Nearby shopping, restaurants and The Saphire was nice too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not much in the way of a healthy breakfast, but there are so many good places to eat nearby, it hardly mattered. There is a bit of noise from the nearby train but it never gave us any grief. Pretty average. Nothing too fancy. Loved the art and the pretty bathrooms. .

This hotel was a great find. The room had a king size bed and refrigerator. Breakfast included the basics as well as a waffle maker (which either wasn't working correctly or wasn't being used correctly on the day I was there). The shower was beautiful - my only complaint is that the handle to turn on the water was below the shower head and the door opening was on the other side. So, you essentially had to stand under the water while you are trying to adjust the temperature. Otherwise the res... Read more

Lots of nice touches, from the man at check-in, to the murals on the outdoor walls, nice. The room was updated but the carpet did smell of urine. Trains go by frequently but that didn't bother us. The price was right; I would stay again.

Ruby 2 looks and feels like your staying in a much more expensive hotel. Really cool vibe too! You can walk to some restaurants and bars. Only thing to note if you are a light sleeper - there is a train track nearby. Ask for a 1st floor room if you wake easily.
