The only complaint is the cleaning service. They come at very inconvenient times or not at all. We stayed 5 days & nights and they came 3 times. One of those times was because we requested it and were out of towels. They were full that weekend with traveling high school basketball teams and were very apologetic. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms spacious, the free breakfast awesome, the pool very nice, the location convenient and friendly staff.

Stayed here for two nights while on a shopping trip to Spokane. As usual with Holiday Inn Express, room was large, clean, free Wifi and parking, well appointed with everything in the room working and a very friendly group of staff to get us checked into the hotel. Hotel is nicely located for the Spokane Valley Mall and other shopping locations. Pleasant surprise was the manager's beer and wine evenings, Monday to Wednesday. Carl, was a great guy for the happy hour and kept us well looked aft... Read more

We were in town for a soccer tournament. Entrance of the Hotel is very inviting. The staff was very friendly. Loved that hotel is right off I-90 exit 287. Very convenient. We took advantage of the pool after a long day at the fields. Pool area was clean. Breakfast was great. Eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, fruit, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, etc. It was perfect to feed our boys before their game. Will definitely stay here again!!

We chose this facility as it close to where we needed to be and had good reviews. It is easily accessible from the freeway. I can't say there is anything inherently wrong with this property. The rooms are generous and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is standard breakfast buffet. My overall impression is that this place seems dark and in need of at least a deep and thorough cleaning if not a total update. The property looks worn and surface clean, but on close inspection it just not all ... Read more

Was Holiday Inn Express was obligated to warn us prior to our stay that our room may have been previously occupied by guest with service dog or otherwise? What if a guest had dog phobia or dog allergy? Some dog owners allow their dogs to sleep in bed. Moreover what if a dog had a potty accident in the room who is to know? Shame on Holiday Inn Express for not having rooms reserved strictly for guest with dogs.

Basic style hotel, but very well done. Rooms were spotless, super comfortable. I think the pillows here are the best I've had on my vacation. Complimentary breakfast was great (I love choosing HI Express hotels because they have a pancake machine :) Staff was great, very friendly. Pool and hottub looked very clean. Easy access off the interstate, but still very quite. It was exactly what I expected it to be. No disappointments.

I enjoy the Holiday Inn because it usually has a great style, cleanliness, friendly staff, decent breakfast, and it's very affordable. This location of the Holiday Inn chain continued my pleasure of stay by providing a clean and comfortable room for the weekend. The breakfast was pretty good; they had biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, cereal, coffee, pastries, and juice available. The staff was very friendly and took the time to actually have a conversation with me; I never fel... Read more

This was a good stay. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. This property was chosen based on its proximity to the highway. Check in was quick, but not terribly friendly. Whatever. I just wanted to get into the room. Check out, on the other hand, was both efficient and warm. The room was clean and comfortable. Very nice linens. Good wifi. A little fridge in the room. I usually stay at HI Express because I like to have a free breakfast in the morning. This one did not disappoint.

Wonderful staff. Everyone at the hotel was so willing to help even after several requests. The rooms were great and up to my expectations of a Holiday Inn Express. And, their pet policy is reasonable. It is extremely difficult to travel with a pet and the hotel made it easy to stay.

Just like all the others. Not a bad thing as you know what to expect. Same breakfast, same room, etc. Good selection of pillows keeps me happy. Wifi works well as does cable TV. Pleasant staff. Right off the freeway. Close to a number of restaurants including Longhorn BBQ across the freeway. Not much not to like.

I have stayed at this property many times over the years. This is the best HIE I stay at... Literally, I can find nothing to complain about. Oh okay, I was disappointed the dog was gone. I hope they soon fix that issue. I really liked the Golden Retreivers over the years. They're rescue dogs and they are such a delight to a grizzled road warrior who is a bit jaded and cynical. I also missed the breakfast lady. That's not to criticize the current staff. They are great too. But she was sp... Read more

When traveling in Spokane I recommend this hotel. The rooms are clean the staff is wonderful. Every Monday Tuesday and Wednesday evening the hotel holds a manager reception with free beer wine and soft drinks. They also offer pasta salad chicken salad during the reception. Close to the freeway and Idaho boarder.

Even though the brand has been around for a long time now, this was the first "Express" Holiday Inn my wife and I had stayed in. If they're all like this one, we will return. The property is very well kept, and the staff friendly. Our room was clean and modern. Simply put, in terms of the basics, this hotel checks off all the essential boxes. If I have one complaint it's a matter of taste: for me, I prefer a much firmer bed than the one that was in our room. The mattress is considerably softer ... Read more

We've stayed at the HIE on "The Rock" downtown, great times there, think this is the same owner, so decided on the Spokane Valley location because it was more convenient to our travel plans. First, the good: the "manager's reception" (M-W, complimentary drinks and snacks) was excellent, attentive host, delicious and fresh pasta salad, refreshing after a long day. We also appreciated the "updated" room with its new carpet and bathroom lighting. But...a worn plastic tub/shower combo, peeling bathr... Read more

The hotel was lovely and the staff were great. Rooms were standard for HIE and the beds were comfy. Pool was ok, not huge but fine for a weekend away. Same with the workout room. Breakfast was good and constantly being replenished and monitored by staff. Location was alright. Not really close to shopping or restaurants. About a 7 min drive to the Spokane Valley mall.

We stayed here a number of years ago, but it seems like although furniture has been updated but not the bathrooms as much. Still absolutely fine, but some newer hotels are nicer. Like the Greek yogurt at breakfast!

Friendly staff that is there to please. They always have hot coffee going and as a bonus, cold milk and warm cookies at 7. They provide chili or other goodies on some evenings and occasionally you get an ice cold beer, who doesn't want a free ice cold beer? I have stayed here numerous times, both for business and pleasure.

This was our 3rd visit to the hotel. We come every year to attend the Farm Chicks show. The hotel is nice with friendly staff and a great breakfast. BUT the beds are HORRIBLE!! The first year we planned on staying two nights but after the first night we couldn't face another night sleeping on the uncomfortable mattress and cancelled the 2nd night. Before we decided where to stay the next year I called ahead and was told that the mattresses had been changed out for new ones so we decided to take ... Read more

We chose this location as a stopping point between Portland and Glacier National Park that was also not too far from Silverwood Amusement Park. It was clean, had a very good breakfast, and an exercise room and pool (which are important to my sons). Would recommend.

Loved the hotel, nicest option we could find on a budget. We stopped at Silverwood Theme Park for the day then came here for the night. Great location near lots of food. Room was clean, loved the huge bed and comfy sheets although the pillows screwed up our necks. The manager's reception idea for cookies and milk at night is thoughtful. The breakfast was good with a lot of choices, but not much protein. Front desk staff were very helpful!

Pros: *Clean room. We got an upgrade to a suite for less money because apparently someone had "given the room to someone else. " *The daytime front desk manager was friendly and helpful. *Cookies and milk between 7p to 9p. They weren't super vigilant about keeping this well stocked, however. I really think the problem tonight was that there was maybe only one person trying to run the front desk. They seemed to do better last night. Cons: * Teeny tiny pool and hot tub had SO MUCH chlorine t... Read more

Frequently stay at HI Express. Spokane Valley among the best. Friendly, competent staff emanated sense of pride in their place of work. Rooms clean and modern. Not just dog friendly, but demonstrated enthusiasm about our Airedale puppy. Only downside is location a bit out of town. Still downtown is only a few miles away, easily accessible by freeway.

I highly recommend this hotel. Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean, great breakfast, and good location right off the highway. Lots of places nearby. I had requested to be away from the elevator and not only did they get it, she mentioned it at check-in. The beds were super comfy, and the shower was great; good pressure and super relaxing shower head.

Stayed here for one night and found it to be a good choice for either a quick overnight stay, or even longer. The property and room were in great condition and very comfortable. The breakfast was good, the pool was nice, and the location was great too. Plenty of stores and dining options within walking distance or just a short drive away. It is also quite convenient to the freeway for easy access to whatever you might be doing in the area.

I love this motel. I always stay here when I'm in Spokane. Two nights ago I checked in and was given room 403. As I headed to the room the front desk person said "Oh, I'm sorry, the elevator is not working." I like this place so much I decided to just tough it out. On the face of it this is a fairly typical holiday inn express property. The rooms are big enough, well equipped and clean and the public areas are well kept. What made this stay extraordinary was the level of service. Great check in experience, managers reception with complimentary beer, wine and appetizers and an above average breakfast. They even sent a hand written thank you note to my home afterwards. This is service better than I had at most 5* places.

We like the Holiday Inn Express locations we have stayed in.rooms are updated with comfortable bedding including choice of pillows. The complimentary breakfast has something for all but the pickiest eaters. Nice toiletries. Quiet rooms and ground floor you have the option to walk out into the parking lot. Cookies & milk served in the evenings. Our only complaint would be the extremely low level toilets - these are hard for older folks and those with knee issues to use. Overall a great value.

OK, so we went to Spokane Valley and then the next day to Coeur D'Alene ID and didn't realize just how close they are. We were one night at Spokane Valley and two in Coeur D'Alene, wish we'd just stayed all three in Coeur D'Alene, they are about 40 minutes apart.
