We have rarely been as pleased with the value as when we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Spokane. Everything about it said quality and the price was great. From the outside you would think it would cost an arm and a leg but it didn't. We will return.

My wife has stayed here the last 3 years when she goes to Spokane for work conferences. The location is conveniently located in the downtown area with easy access to I-90 and other major roads in Spokane. The view from the hotel because of its location is awesome!! The staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. They offer Happy Hour appetizers, wine, and beer Monday through Wednesday and milk and cookies in the evenings. The front desk lady the night we checked in was not very courteous. Other than that, the place was great, especially the location. The place kind of resembles a castle, which was pretty cool. The rooms were clean and the rest of the staff were kind.

I stayed here with my track and field team in May of 2016, Spokane was totally booked up for multiple post season tournaments and this was one of our only options. If I have my choice, this will be the only place we try to stay at from now on. The hotel was incredible with our group checkin and getting the whole team together in a block. The service at the desk was top notch, Mackenzie was who we primarily dealt with there at the desk. She was able to provide a couple toiletries that had bee... Read more

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. From the front desk to the breakfast bar, you are treated like an honored VIP. Special judo to the Breakfast Bar manager, Dzenana. Friendly, efficient and kept the dining area spotless! We will definitely stay here again, anytime we need to be in Spokane.

We stayed here as part of my sons baseball tournament. The building is kind of odd being a mid evil looking castle on the hill but you can walk to riverside park and shopping. Great free breakfast and nice patios in front and off of first floor rooms. A great place to stay if you are in Spokane.

Great location on top of the rock! Friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner, room is standard but best of all you truly are pet friendly by not charging for pets. The dogs we rescue thank you for that as well as my wife and I. 200 characters again, still typing.

This hotel is not worth the $ I spent and they seemed to not appreciate that I used hotels.com to book. The toilet stopped flushing and they handed me a plunger rather than offering to fix it for me. The location is good, and everything seemed clean. Just no frills.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and it is awesome. Holiday Inn Express is my chain of choice and I spend over a hundred nights a year in hotels. This particular hotel is stunning! And it's well run. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I mean genuinely nice. I've stayed at hotels were the staff says hello like they will be fired if they don't greet everyone. Here it all feels very real and genuine. This hotel has the best patio of any Holiday Inn I've been too and better than seve... Read more

Weekend visit to Spokane. Decided to stay closer to downtown and picked the HIE. It was a good choice. It is a known commodity, but friendly staff made this one stand out. Jesse checked me in and good not have been more friendly or efficient. Made supper recommendations and recommended the hotel's shuttle service so we could relax and truly enjoy our meal. Good extra provided by the hotel. It is close to the Convention centre for those needing that proximity. One caution, its address is on N Div... Read more

First off I have driven by this property hundreds of time as I used to live in Spokane. I have moved away and was in town handling some business and stayed here for a night. Check in was great, the room was exactly as you would expect from at Holiday Inn Express. That's why I choose HIE if the price is right and I will be staying for multiple days. In this case it was just a night but I chose it for location. It's nice being a 10 minute walk from RIverfront Park and downtown Spokane. Staff i... Read more

Well located, clean and spacious hotel on the edge of downtown Spokane. Very friendly and attentive front desk staff. Good housekeeping staff - the rooms were spotless. Breakfast buffet was hot, with the standard HI offerings. Short on parking spaces. I have stayed here previously, and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Even though I live in the Spokane area, I frequently will take a night downtown to get away from life and enjoy the great downtown area. I alway choose the Holiday Inn Express on the rock as the hotel is located in downtown Spokane, the staff is extremely helpful, and I love the hotel accommodations. This hotel is a great place to stay and my first choice in Spokane.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. We travelled with our two cocker spaniels and they gave us a room with patio doors that walked out to a large grass balcony area with a view. The room was very clean and the included breakfast was above average. Was impressed they had coconut milk available on top of many vegan options. Would definitely recommend staying here!

A couple times each year, I stay in Spokane for a week of work. My coworkers and I have stayed in many hotels in Spokane and Spokane Valley through the years (since before this hotel's remodel), and this is the one we've settled on (without in any way settling for less service). The rooms are nice and comfortable. The A/C is very effective (necessary on the south side rooms in summer), there are no nighttime noise sources from outside, and the hotel is easy to find, being perched "on the rock... Read more

We stayed here one night in our way to seattle. This was one of the nicest Holiday Inn express' s I have been to. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast had one of the nicest people working, greeting, and cleaning the breakfast areas. She was happy and took pride in her job. She greeted everyone with such a positive attitude. This hotel is referred to as the rock, and it is impressive to look at. It sits on a bluff, and looks fantastic. The staff is wonderful. I am here frequently, and they always greet me by name. They have a managers event every Monday to Wednesday night, with a lite meal and a chance to kick back. When the weather is nice, their deck is a wonderful place to unwind from the day.

The hotel outside is ornate and attractive, albeit plain inside. The Holiday Inn Express breakfast included in the rate was a good kick start to the day. Paul on reception was very jolly and looked like he loves his job. I was amazed by how pleasant staff were, including ALL the housekeeping workers I encountered. EVERY ONE said hello. The lady who organized the breakfast counter was so nice. I don't know if it's recruiting or training, but this hotel has it right.

As a road warrior I always stay at the holiday inn chain. From the outside this property is awesome sitting on top the hill looking like a castle. So much so that I was not exactly sure it was the traditional express property. The entrance to this express lobby is quite grand and it is obvious the property owner has invested much time and money into this and it is well worth it. I was in Spokane for a business meeting so prebooked a room at the Holiday Inn Express. When I arrived, the parking lot was being re-striped so it was a little confusing getting into the parking lot. Not a big deal and probably happens once every 5-10 years. Check in was typical. Provide ID, credit card for incidentals (I hate that) and off I went. Check-in staff were extremely friendly. Room was nicely appointed. As much of a picky person as I am I was actually impressed with the condition o... Read more

As I was leaving the hotel this morning, I asked Julie at the front counter for some extra tissues to take with me for the day, since I was suffering from a bit of a cold. When I returned to my room at the end of the day, I found a get well soon card from the Guest Service Manager Vanessa Polson, along with a care package with Kleenex, hand sanitizer, cough drops and some vitamin C. Stayed here and despite our bikes being locked up with cables and parked right under a light, our bikes were stolen in a parking lot. We were led to believe it was safe as there is only one way in and out of this parking lot that goes right by the lobby entrance. When we reported this theft, the staff said there are no security cameras and no security detail, despite the fact that this has been an ongoing problem in the area. This is our go-to hotel in Spokane. The hotel is very clean and we really appreciate the managers receptions Monday thru Wednesday. Another Benny is they provide a shuttle service to most places within Spokane. We use this for transportation to various restaurants so we don't have to pay for parking or worry about a designated driver. Kyle our driver was very accommodating and friendly. Decent exercise facility, and the usual HIG breakfast. We will keep returning here.

This hotel is beautiful. It's located up on a hillside (has great views). The outdoor patio is really nice, as is the lobby area. Very clean hotel. Clean nice parking lot, and very safe. Some hotels are located in sketchy area's, but not this one. Every staff member was helpful & cheerful. I even got a free ride to a local pub-tavern from the shuttle. I stayed here for 2 nights during a business trip. I am an IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite member. Location: This hotel is located just north of the I-90 on Division Street in the downtown area. The location is pretty much in the center of Spokane and it's a short drive to/from the airport. First of all, this is a truly beautiful hotel with views (I believe) from every window. It's as cosy as a high end ski lodge, of which it reminds me. Breakfast is included, and it is rather impressive, although a little too heavy on sugary pastries for my taste. The room is cosy with a refrigerator and a Keureg coffee maker in every room, but with only three coffee pods, and this in a room with two Queen beds.
