We enjoyed our stay as the location was great, rooms modern, clean and a good size and staff helpful. The hi speed internet and wifi assisted us in organising our site seeing. The king size bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp clean white linen and no noise from the street to disturb us. The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helped us with information to make our short visit enjoyable. Well, early morning, I went down to the first floor to cheeck if there was a microwave then when I was going back to my room which was on the 10th floor, I used both of my keys to have an access to the elevator. Surprisingly, both of my keys weren't working so I decided to ask the front desk for new set of keys. So, I asked this guy with a beard, probably the "manager", if I could have keys to gain access to my room and he asked me the room number and I told him my room number. He then told me w... Read more

This Courtyard in Seattle is nice. The interior of the hotel and the hotel rooms was modern and obviously recently renovated. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and check in was fast and easy. There is a bistro in the lobby, however we never ate there. Valet is over $40 a nice and really, it's your only parking option. There is a parking garage nearby that is probably cheaper than valet. The hotel is in a good location. If we go back to Seattle, I will probably want to stay on the other side o... Read more

Our room was basic and on the smallish side. I mentioned quiet was more important than a view. The view from our room was an alley, but I did not hear another soul while we were there. The staff were polite and helpful, but it occasionally seemed forced on their part. Nothing bad to say, but nothing above and beyond. The location was great for exploring Seattle and walking to the Mariners game. The hotel did have a decent fitness room, and while the restaurant was good, we only had one meal ther... Read more

The hotel is located in downtown Seattle, close to restaurants, the pier and the shopping areas. The room is well appointed and the mattress worth sinking in. The swimming pool is small but functional.

I was excited about our one night visit to Seattle.. Me booked at this Marriott and used our points.. Well at the reception we were happy to know that we got some upgrade that led us into a lovely room with the city view. You must be wondering why did I give 3/5 then? Our room had a kitchenette but the kitchen sink was backing up.. That's not a pleasing sight for a hotel like Marriott. Let me mention here, the service was awesome.. Hated room. It was like a tomb and very depressing (with little light and not enough lamps). The room was on the back-side of hotel and faced a dirty/run down building where homeless people like to hang out (windows broken out, alley between blgs was only about 15 feet wide, it was that close), and where the hotel puts their garbage. Garbage truck came *very* early - the noise woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. Important note: This is the room they put me in and I'm Gold Elite, so this... Read more

This facility was in a great location for the piers and stadiums , however we were street side on the 9th floor and heard a lot of street noise. Just had to turn the fan up. Don't know if the rooms on the other side are quieter. It could be that since it's close to the stadiums there's just a lot of activity. Valet parking is $45 and there is no alternative self parking agreement with outside vendors provided by the hotel. It is a beautiful use of an Historical building. Very clean adequate room... So, okay, I'll admit it. This may just be me, a non cosmopolitan kind of gal. I just think when you are paying approximately $400 per room, you expect just a wee bit more. Was it clean, yes, Were the staff super friendly- you bet. But my room was small, oddly shaped with a beautiful view into the office building next door. Funny thing was, I was on the 8th floor. The street noises were disturbing. The coffee service in the room was like something you'd expect in the Super 8. Nothing agai... Read more

Stayed here for a long weekend trip to Seattle. Located on the edge of the Pioneer Square district, this hotel is a good starting point for tours of the city, including Pike Place market and the Pioneer Square neighborhood. The hotel is housed in an old building from the 19th century, called the Alaska building. However the hotel itself has modern and comfortable rooms. We arrived around 5pm and the valet was a mess. After parking to unload our bags on Cherry, we checked in with the valet. Front counter staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was located on the 11th floor facing south east (the Smith Tower was visible). The street noise (as other reviewers have noted) was audible, but what do you expect while staying downtown? The room had everything that you would expect in a Courtyard property, but nothing more. Saturday morning, around 10am, valet took ... Read more

I stayed for 3 nights during the month of June and enjoyed the stay. Although this is a Marriott Courtyard, it is not a "standard Courtyard"...it is much more. It is in an old building that has been refurbished. I believe it used to be a bank. We stayed here for 2 nights -- we wanted to be centrally located to some of the cities "must see" places. We had no idea that Seattle is such a crime ridden city -- there were Sirens all night!!! The TV is small and awkwardly positioned on a shaky pull out counter top. The curtains were dingy. We always stay at Marriotts because they are usually very comfortable and reliable. The staff were very nice -- to their credit. The room was clean and the bathroom spacious. Unfortunately there is nothing... Read more

Stayed two nights over the 4th of July (was supposed to be 3 but one of the kids ended up getting sick so we checked out early to start our 2,000+ mile drive home). Kudos to the Courtyard Marriott near Pioneer Square, Seattle for a nice adaptive reuse of the historic Alaska Building. Great staff, large comfortable rooms, close to the real, historic Seattle. We stayed here the night before we were boarding our cruise for Alaska. It was just a short walk to Safeco Park to watch the Mariners play. Front desk staff was very friendly as well as helpful. Recommended Planet Java for breakfast which was a lot of fun! Room was very clean and we had a nice view of the bay. The next morning we walked down to the Fish market which was not too far away. Only negative would be the homeless down the street, but that's not the fault of the hotel.

I stay a lot at Courtyards, but this one has to be the best. It's no due to the building, yes its a great building and conveniently located downtown and its clean, but the staff takes it from a regular Marriott to one I enjoyed and would go back to with my family and friends. Ask a question they answer it. Ask for a place to go, eat or how to get there and they will give you options. These people take pride in their job, no matter if they are the young new hire or the veteran, what a great team.

Staff has always been great, hotel is in excellent location (walking distance to lots of places), never had a car here so can't comment on parking etc. Restaurant is OK (limited menu and OK food). Rooms are fairly comfortable and decent size. Reasonably quiet considering its location.

Stayed here for a week, I had a corner room on the 10th floor (1021) with a kitchen area also. I had great views towards the sports stadiums. Check in and initial directions to help me find my bearings were very friendly. The Pioneer Square area seemed to be very safe - several times I walked through in the early hours on my own. Only about a 10 to 15 minute walk to Pike Place and the main shopping area and downtown so very convenient. The monorail to the space needle is also at the main shoppi... Read more

I love this place. The rooms feel new and modern. The staff is beyond friendly and always willing to help. The rates are reasonable if you plan ahead. And the hotel is walking distance to most of what down town has to offer. This is a great place to stay for work or pleasure.

I traveled with 3 friends to Seattle to see Adele - fabulous concert! We needed a convenient room to sleep and also to get ready for our days & nights on the town. We chose Courtyard Downtown/Pioneer Square because of it's convenient walking location to many Seattle sights. The room was on the 10th floor and had a waterfront view. It was approximately $400/night with tax. We did not park a car which would be an extra fee. Our room looked great when we came in. There were 2 glasses and tow... Read more

I traveled to Seattle for the start of a West Coast Road Trip. We had a corner room with king bed and pull out sofa bed though used a roll-away as it seems no matter where we stay the pull out sofa beds are always very uncomfortable. Service was excellent. I like the location though parking fees are steep. It is very close to the stadiums. There was a Kenny Chesney concert the weekend we were there. You can walk to Pike's Place (not that close) and the Space Needle (not that close either).... Read more

We stayed here on a recent trip to Seattle, the hotel has clean with modern rooms. Our corner room was spacious had large windows allowing plenty of light. The restaurant was good and provided quick meals for our mornings. The area outside was nice, there are quite a few homeless people in the area so don't be surprised to see them. It wasn't the least expensive place to stay, but was within walking distance to many sites and a block from the bus or subway.

Room was nice but they told us that the pull-out couch would come with bed sheets but we could not find any bed sheets. Furthermore, it took at least 20 minutes for them to retrieve the car when we checked out. Parking was very pricey. Good place to stay if you're going to the ballgame or football game as it's only located within a mile of the stadiums.

Stayed here for our anniversary and enjoy baseball game and couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff was amazing. Anyone we had contact with. The location amazing. Quick walk to the stadium and to pikes place. We were able to get our room early even. We will be coming back and just may be our hotel choice for Seattle visits now.

We found this modern property with historic touches to be family friendly for a downtown property. The 1 bedroom (2 room) suite is very spacious and worth the upgrade from their standard room. We enjoyed the café breakfast offerings in the morning; and the lobby bar had a nice wine menu for after dinner drinks. We particularly liked this location because it had easy access to the Link Light Rail, which takes you to and from SeaTAc/Airport for $3 per person (avoiding their $45 a day valet pa... Read more

The hotel is centrally located for sightseeing downtown and access to the stadiums. Service at checkin is poor. Staff are rude and less than helpful. The spare pull out bed in the room was not made and I was told I'd find sheets in a drawer to make it myself, however at $330/night, I would expect housekeeping to do it. The rooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant has limited choices and no room service (but take out is available). There's lots of places to eat nearby, sobId skip the restauran... Read more

Stayed here for one night and enjoyed it. Restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and a close walk to the football and baseball stadiums. Rooms were very clean and the staff were extremely nice. Valet parking is available and the public parking lot is 1/2 block away.

We stayed for one night for an event at Century Link Field, it was a perfect location 6 min walk and my wife doesn't walk very far. 7 Eleven is half a block away for some provisions and Starbucks across the street. Rooms were good, I found the bed a little stiff, but my wife found it very comfortable. Staff was good, we didn't need them for much. I would stay here again if going to Safeco or Century Link. Elevators need an upgrade lots of noise and seem to be worn out.

This is basically a standard Courtyard but in a very historical old building. Very neat location that I find fun to use as a base to explore the city. Pioneer Square is close but even Cap Hill and Pikes Place are short can rides, or if you are like me and enjoying walking, within 30 min walks. I love the 1st to 2nd floor stair treads that are very old worn marble. Nice little bar and breakfast area within and a full size Starbucks right across the street. Solid business hotel for sure and I know... Read more

So Marriot is bringing it! Historic/modern remodel-clean and better than expected from a chain hotel during peak season in a busy city. Such friendly respectful and accommodating well trained staff!!!!! After suffering from another chain's entitlement attitude regarding our business and being treated like we have no business there-The Marriot chain is winning us over actually treating us like our business and each guest is a "guest".
