"OMGosh, I can't say enough about this hotel. First, premo - location. It is located in the heart of Queen Ane (I hope I have that correct)..but you literally can walk to everything (resturants, attractions, moon rail)..you name it. Secondly, I'm not sure if this is a Seattle thing but major props for 'hospitality'. We arrived around 2am Seattle time, and the Front Desk didn't miss a beat. Trust me, I've been to more expensive hotels where they don't even check to make sure you made it to the room. Lastly, I can't go on about the amenities, the cleanliness of rooms, staff..just everything was truly pleasant. Oh and you have to try the wings at the Rock. I will definitely be returning to this hotel again. I wish such hospitality and such uniqueness existed in ATL. Dont get me wrong..I know it does but all within a reasonable budget is the key. Thank you Maxwell Hotel..thank you.

"The place was hard for us to find since there was a lot of construction in the area. But when we did, it was so conveniently located within easy walking distance to the Space needle and the Chihuly Garden & Glass museum, uh, what a lovely spot.
The Maxwell set the stage for an artsy weekend. The place is posh and trendy all at the same time, we loved it. The best part was that it had 2 queen beds, not doubles, and they were sooo comfortable with many pillows. Rested is always a bonus that eludes me when away from my own comfy digs. Also, free parking in Seattle is at a premium. Many upscale hotels hit you hard, with 15 or 20 dollars per day with no in or out privileges which adds up quick and makes me hostel. They even let us leave our car there for a bit after check out to walk up to McMinimins for lunch. We will recommend it and the Chihuly exhibit to everyone."

"We concur with the reviews of this hotel, awesome location, very clean, well maintained, newly updated and modern. The restaurant/lounge equally as good. The only cons were, when arriving at 8:45 on a Monday evening, we wonder if the front desk staff felt as though we were returning guests. She was very pleasant and accommodating, however she did not advise us of the included amenities (free microwave popcorn, water in the room and DVD's at the front desk), Wi-Fi access password, or that they don't use hotel info binders in the rooms, it's all online now. We did however discover all this when we asked a very helpful gentleman at the front desk the next day. A nice touch, fresh half & half cream in the room fridge for your coffee/tea, and a Keurig coffee maker. Another small thing, the hardwood floors are very nice, except when the people above you are walking back and forth early in the morning. They have a nice little take away eatery/canteen at the entrance that's open from 6:30am till 4pm. We went to get a quick breakfast snack the morning we left, but the only employee was on a 30 minute lunch break at 10:45? Minor points for the overall pluses of this hotel and restaurant."

"Great hotel, very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located next to Seattle Center. The hotel has a courtesy vehicle for locations within 3 miles or you can easily walk to the tram at Seattle Center and go down to the market. The Maxwell has free wifi but it was not working for any Apple devices so if this important you might want to check if this has been resolved. The free parking is underground and secured, parking in Seattle can be rather difficult, if you stay at this hotel you can easily get by without a car for a couple of days."

"I like most everything about this hotel. The room was larger than a normal hotel room - 2 queen beds with a couple of side chairs. So was the bathroom - great shower and towels. The staff in Seattle was excellent -they effectively and efficiently handled several things that came up. The only problem was the pounding on the floor from the room above late into the night. So, if you stay hrere, which I would recomend, ask for a room on the top floor."

"I was unable to check in until after 5 pm. Not a good thing when you're on vacation. Staff was friendly, but a bit clueless when it came time to get answers about the delay. did not get a free newspaper as advertised.
I was told I had an upgraded room (and I paid BookIt extra for the privledge)....but it was the exact same as the 'non upgraded' room next to mine.
Place looks good, and the location is excellent."

"The Maxwell Hotel is awesome! Rooms are spacious with wood floors (no yucky carpeting), very comfortable beds and pillows, walk-in shower, unique modern decor, huge flat screen TV, and a Kuerig coffee machine with fresh cream in the frig and real coffee mugs, a microwave oven, even a package of m/w popcorn! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and modern, it appears to be fairly new. We loved the free, undergroung parking for our rental car. Most hotels in the area were charging $20/day for on-site parking. The Rock restaurant had great pizza and salads, too. Super close to the Seattle City Center (Space needle, EMP, IMAX, monorail). We travel alot and this hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in, even better than our usual choice of Marriott Hotels!!"

"Loved the location next to the Seattle Center. It was well lighted and felt safe to walk even after dark. We could easily walk to the monorail station to go downtown for $2.25 a trip. The shuttle was convenient for short hops but unfortunately dropped us off a long distance from our cruise ship causing us undue stress with our luggage. "We had read a lot of reviews about this hotel and found most had rated it very highly. Now that we've completed our stay we concur! The hotel was in a great location...close to the Space Needle, Seattle Center and all the activities it has to offer. The hotel itself was very inviting, clean, uniquely decorated and the rooms were spacious, modern, had very comfy beds and pillows and the best part was the Keurig in each room with real creamo in the fridge for morning coffee! It was all the little attention to detail that made our stay wonderful! The restaurant downstairs (The Rock) was very cool and had a good menu. (Loved the pizza dough blob they gave our daughter to play with while waiting for our food!)
We will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others."

"this was a great hotel, about 10 mins walk from the Space Needle and the Chihuly exhibition.
Hotel is clean bright and welcoming, the bed was really comfy and we slept well. The only disappointment was the water pressure in the shower, but the rest we could not fault.
There was some noise in the hallway in the mornings from other guests slamming doors, but no other noise from the wooden floors.
All in all a great find, good value and we'll be staying again!"

"Excellent in most aspects: room, bed, private secure parking garage and overall experience. My only comment in the negative would be that we came in at 10 am & checked to make sure everything was fine with our reservation, parked our car and took off for the day confident that when we came back we could get in our room. Check in is 3pm. We came back at 5 pm and the room was not ready. We went to dinner and came back and it was then, but if we had had to change for anything, that would have been very inconvenient. The staff was friendly even though it looked liked they had had a VERY busy day. The beds were super comfortable. Our room was a queen deluxe with a space needle view, 2 queen beds, and a sofa sleeper. The hotel was perfectly located for us as we wanted to go to the Seattle Center: Pacific Science Center & Space Needle. Plus we took the monorail to Pike's Market and had fun there too. I hope to be back in the fall and stay there again. There is just so much more to see and do. I loved the hotel "

"Everything went well. The staff was nice and the hotel was beautiful. It was in a good location next to all the attractions and transportation, but in a quiet part of town. The Rock is a very cool restaurant that was conveniently attached to The Maxwell and had excellent food and beverage. The only thing I didn't appreciate about my experience at The Maxwell was the check in service. The front desk guy who was working the night we checked in was a little clueless as he saw that we had two very young children, two car seats, a stroller, luggage etc., and never offered us a baggage cart or any other form of assistance to help us out. I thought that was pretty lame. All in all, we loved our overall experience."

"The hotel was wonderful - in a great location. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed with microwave, bar fridge and coffee maker. Free popcorn, water, coffee & tea with REAL milk. They Pineapple is a very nice little spot that sells coffee, pastries and sandwiches in the lobby. My only criticism is no grab bar in the shower. They offer a free shuttle if you wish to book it, Their staff are very helpful about local eateries. Bicycles are available as well as, Within easy walking distance of the Seattle Centre - which has the monorail to downtown, the space needle, Chihully Garden and Glass, and Experience Music. The latter is a Frank Gehri design and very unsual. We noticed that teens and school kids were having a wonderful time with the participatory activities. For us the Chihuly Garden and Glass was beyond anything we expected to see. Very remarkable and beautiiful gardens with unusual glass among the plants. The exhibits in the building wer exceptional too as well as the glass floating around in the space of the glass house. A MUSTSEE.
(The Bamboo vegetarian Chinese food place is good)."

"My nephew's graduation was in Key Arena so it was an easy walk to there and all of Seattle Center. Lots of Asian food restaurants close by and a market within walking distance. Restaurant in hotel had lots to choose from and was very good (no breakfast though but they do have a coffee bar in the lobby where you can get breakfast items). The room was excellent, comfortable beds, nice tv, ample space There were some details that I liked: dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc., microwave & fridge, ice bucket kept melted water away from ice, towel hangers in shower and right outside shower, free bottled water, coffee creamers in fridge. They also provided a pack 'n play for our baby. If there was one issue it would be that they didn't have a full size ironing board. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great to have complimentary parking in underground garage under hotel. My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool. I didn't go into the fitness center but it looked like they had good equipment. Again, location was great, we went to zoo, aquarium, pike street, etc. all within 5-15 minute drive. Driving around there can be tricky if you're new to the area so best to have gps and get directions."

"This hotel is the best. I am a travel agent and there is nothing negative to say about this hotel. The staff is amazing, they let us check in early, leave our car until 3pm day of check out, gave us a map and description of things to see and do in Seattle and when they close. They just kept assisting us and weren't being fake friendly. The complimentary shuttle driver was so nice as well (and that shuttle is great! Takes you all over). He went out of his way to take us to a look out point. Can't rave enough about this great hotel! Rooms amazing, nice decor, nice to have a safe, water bottles and love the complimentary popcorn and DVD players in room. You can walk to Pike Place and the Waterfront (Miners Landing) from the hotel in 20-30 minutes leasure walk. Go here for sure it has so much value no matter what the rate!"

"My partner and I stayed for just the 2 nights, however we left wishing we had stayed for longer. Very helpful front desk with directions to town, early check in and just overall happy faces. Downtown is only 2 minutes on the monorail, they also have a free shuttle to take you almost anywhere. Hotel room was very clean and well worth the price. The bar connected to the hotel was also very good with happy hour and food, bar staff are fun young and talkative, making you feel as if its your local and you have been going for years. We will without a doubt be staying here again. Loved it and coming from a hotel background could not fault it."

"I was very concerned about this being my first online booking experience. The Hotel is a wonderful and relaxing place - the lobby is a very comfortable and beautiful place to wait (I had to wait about an hour for the rest of my party to return from an excursion, and the lobby was so pleasant and bright that I chose to wait there). There is a restaurant/lounge just off the lobby that has really good pizza! Our room was incredibly clean and spacious, and the staff was always happy to answer questions. We felt very secure in the Hotel. The indoor swimming pool had no deep end which worked very well with us having younger children in our party. The Hotel was close to so many things that we wanted to do that we parked our car in their secure garage and walked to most things. Wonderful experience!"

"We loved the Hotel. The staff was very friendly, the hotel decor was great, the Rock Pizza was good, the hotel room was comfy and pretty and we loved the afternoon cupcakes and coffee. The coffee at the cafe was good but the pastries could have been better. The pool was small but fun for the kids. We liked the free shuttle and the bikes and umbrellas were a nice touch. The only downside was the party that went on on our floor. At 10 pm it wasn't a big deal. However, people were in the hallway, going in and out of rooms and playing loud music until we called at 3 am. The staff responded immediately and it was quieter but we could still hear them. Other than that our stay was awesome."

Beautiful large lobby with plenty of lounging areas & great decor.At check in we were given a gift card to use at the expresso bar. The coffees and treats were delicious! There was a free shuttle van that took us and even picked us back up during daylight hours. That was a big help! And free secure parking for our car. Our room was beautifully decorated in wonderful bright colors and dark wood floors. So Pretty! "It was an absolute pleasure staying here. The decor is so fun. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, loved the walk-in shower and the Tommy Bahama toiletries were a plus. Having the shuttle was wonderful since it rained quite a bit, we didn't mind because we are from Alaska and had left 6 feet of snow at home. There several good restaurants within walking distance and 'The Rock' restaurant and bar right in the hotel was great. "We took Princess Cruise Lines to Alaska in September, and needed a place to stay for one night before we left, without going through the cruiseline and their inflated prices. Our group (12 of us in 5 rooms) was thoroughly impressed with the Maxwell Hotel - it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant served meals quickly and had a wide selection to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. We even had time to walk to the space needle (about a ten minute walk). Overall, the Maxwell was very impressive!"

"What an ideal place to stay while visiting Seattle. Being near the Space Needle and the Seattle Center,The Maxwell provides easy access to center city, Pikes Place Market and the waterfront (use the monorail) without having all the downtown hustle and bustle. It's in the Queen Anne section and within a couple of blocks of Queen Anne St, where the best Sub shop in Seattle (Mo's) is located. The staff coudn't have been more accomodating. The rooms were very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Hotel security was top notch. The view of the Space Needle from our window was a real bonus."

"My family recently stayed in Seattle at the Maxwell hotel. The hotel was excellent, rooms were spacious enough for two adults and two teenagers. Hardwood floors and the most comfortable beds and pillows of any hotel I have stayed in. Within walking distant of Pikes Place Market and the water front but in a quiet neighborhood. Decor is funky: green, hot pink with black painted chandeliers. We would stay here again."

"Superb hotel in an excellent location! Great clean room ( as pictured) with yummy Tommy Bahama shampoo, conditioners, lotions, soaps. Helpful staff. The driver - he immediately becomes your friend in Seattle with helpful suggestions as to where to go and what to do. Others were polite and answered questions, but he took a genuine interest in guests making us feel welcome and comfortable in his town. Gorgeous lobby with large painted mural. The Rock Pizza was adjacent - and had decent pie. However, his suggestion of Toulesse Petit, just a quick walk (or drive) down the street was provided the tastiest food (and best happy hour) of our stay. Free parking in the garage. Free internet, and free use of computer on lover level. Great idea, guys! Hotel happy hour was cute tasty mini muffins and Starbucks coffee. Negatives: noisy late night guests walking down the halls - better insulation in doors could've muffled this; and tight tight parking in the parking garage."

"My wife and I were visiting Seattle for a combination of business and pleasure. We put a lot of thought into which hotel we would stay at in order to maximize our experience. The Hotel is located on Roy street within walking distance from the Seattle Center and just a monorail away from downtown Seattle. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Our plain landed at 9:00AM. We arrived at the hotel about 40 minutes later wanting to check in. The front desk told us that they would get us in a room within a couple hours and then recommended nearby restaurants to eat breakfast while we were waiting. Their recommendations were so spot on that we only ate at the restaurants which were recommended by the hotel staff. The hotel was so amazing and aesthetically pleasing that we extended our reservation. I have since and will continue to recommend the Hotel to anyone looking for a great nights stay in a luxurious and comfortable hotel."

"My friends and I were attending Supercross at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, most of the other hotels we chose were already booked and many others were filling up fast. We arrived late, like 10:30pm right after Supercross was over. Checkin was so easy, the rooms were nice and clean, we had a view of the space needle just as described. My only con is I that I wish they had more parking, and that their staff was a little more warmer and inviting then they were. Great hotel, would stay there again!"
