We stayed at the Fairmont for 4 nights. What a treat. The hotel is in a perfect location - walking distance to Pike's market, monorail to the space needle, light rail to the ballpark. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Absolutely beautiful lobby and breakfast room! I loved the fitness room, hot tub and pool. The best part of our stay was the service. Everyone, including front desk staff, waiters, housekeeping, doorman/valet, was exceptionally nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

We stayed with the Fairmont Kea Lani, in Maui, and had the best experience. So, we wanted to try another Fairmont property, and this did not disappoint! My husband and I travel frequently and consider ourselves very selective in our hotel choices, and the Fairmont always exceeds our expectations. We stayed for 3 nights before embarking on the Rocky Mountaineer tour. Requested and was given a newly renovated room on the 10th floor. Modern inclusions like USB charging ports by the bedside were welcomed. The hotel's location was good, the deco was old-world and while charming, certain areas are looking rather tired. What caught us by surprise were how many times we were put on hold when calling the Front Desk/Concierge. On two occasions, after being to made to wait before being entertained,... Read more

This was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were large and clean with prompt maid service. We had two king bed rooms on the seventh floor that were very comfortable. The room service was excellent-food was hot and served promptly. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. This hotel was in a great location for walking to Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, and downtown shopping. I would stay here again.

We have stayed at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in the past and felt the rooms were getting tired and required refurbishing. The refurbishing was complete in our recent room. Very nicely appointed. Modernized and upgraded furniture and carpets. Unlike upgrades at some other grand old Fairmonts (The Empress and the old Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver), the upgraded Fairmont Olympic has thus far preserved the elegance and charm of a magnificent grand old hotel without sacrificing the ambience of the ... I stayed here for a girls trip in April, and I can not say enough good things about The Fairmont Olympic hotel. We stayed in a queen queen deluxe room. They were very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful sophisticated atmosphere and architecture that I think is lacking in many chain hotels. The staff were all courteous and polite but a doorman, Danny, was extraordinary. I am hesitant to even use the term doorman, because he was so much more. I would say he was the heart and soul... Read more

We booked a deluxe corner king city view room, however, it was not ready when we checked in. After around 1.5-2hours, we finally got our room. The hotel is old but the new renovations are pretty nice, especially the bed and washroom. However, the rooms are quite small for the price. Maybe it's because the hotel is located right in the middle of downtown, so rooms are naturally a bit smaller. Location is very convenient, close to shopping malls and designer stores. A very pleasant hotel well situated in Seattle. The hotel was being refurbished and we were in a room newly decorated and there was no noise from ongoing building works. Room was pleasant and bed exceedingly comfortable. Very pleasant room, with all the amenities. And huge comfortable bed--oh that bed! Also quiet. Excellent service, especially for the garage (expensive but worth it). It's not a "modern" convention hotel and has preserved the best of an older tradition in updated rooms. Only disappointment was that the wonderful old restaurant was not open for dinner, though it was for a very good breakfast. Very well located without being in the midst of tourist-town. Fairmont Hotels have a reputation for a very high level of accommodation and service in meticulously restored historic buildings -- all situated in prime locations, including upscale sections of major cities in the United States and Canada, or in breathtaking scenic areas all around the world. Of course, the standard rates that a high-end hotel such as a Fairmont can charge can be daunting...and "breathtaking" can become "heart-stopping" if you aren't careful. I was there for a meeting, so all of my food experiences were with banquet services. It was all well above average for hotel conference food and some of the best I have had at a hotel-based meeting. Discourage people to stay here - hotel is old, outdated, and the staff was thoroughly lacking in courtesy and professionalism. Room service atrocious and inconsistent. First dinner in room was very good but the second room service horrible. The prices are very expensive - $30 for fried chicken. I would walk around this historic hotel but stay at the W or higher end hotels for the same price. My stay at Marriotts far exceeded in service, comfort, and professionalism.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a visit from the UK to the USA. As others have said is old school but modernized. We had a nice size room and could not fault any aspects of our short stay. The concierge was helpful and knowledgeable and helped plan our days and restaurants. We did not eat in the hotel as prefer to try local establishments. Great location and we talked to most places.

After many Seattle trips for work, I found a good deal on The Fairmont Olympic. It has a great location and a house car that will take you within a mile or so of hotel. This was a very helpful perk that is easy to take advantage of since car is never gone for long. Beautiful property. Nice room with separate seating area and desk for work. Only complaint is internet access was pricey. Should be complimentary in a hotel of this caliber.

We stayed for five nights in a small suite and found the experience true to many other reviews. Renovated rooms are nice but not over the top. The street noise coming into the room even 4 floors up was significant. I kept checking to see if the window was open but no- just a lot of noise coming through. Rest of hotel is pretty but dated and the service level was average. There was nothing bad but nothing special. The common areas just felt a bit past their prime and while clean, they are not co... Extra little touches like having a hot pot/electric teakettle in addition to Keurig coffeemaker (for a tea-drinker who doesn't like coffee flavored tea), having a dimmer light in the bathroom for nighttime excursions, and thoughtfulness of housekeeping staff who made up my friend's air mattress in addition to the bed in the room just added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay.... Just finished six night stay here. The staff was excellent, the room was spacious and the toiletries top notch. Parking is a rip off - go across the street for half the cost. A beautiful old world hotel in a great location

Great hotel. Bellman asked me how my room was, I responded that it was smaller than I hoped and they upgraded me immediately. I know this may not be always available but they I found this time be very genuine and accommodating. Hotel is impeccable and staff is very friendly. My third or fourth stay and my wife and I love it at Fairmont.

My wife stayed for an all-too-brief two nights at one of the suites at the Fairmont. The staff was supurb: extremely and persistently helpful. The room wasn't huge, but more than enough for the two of us. This is a very high end hotel. There's a buzz of activity in the lobby, but perfectly quite on the room floors. It's located in the heart of the city, pretty much near everything. Great location.

We stayed at this hotel for one night this weekend. We had a Deluxe Corner King room that was renovated, and the room was very nice however noisy. We were on the 5th floor, and we may as well have been sleeping in the street. We checked all the windows were closed and turned up the AC to cover the street noise - but it was really bad (I don't remember it being so bad the last time we stayed at this hotel pre reno). The room does not have a soaker tub which was disappointing and the bathroom wh... Read more

I traveled with my husband on business and stayed at the Fairmont Olympic for two nights. We were in a lovely executive suite on the second floor. The room was beautifully decorated in blues. The minibar was well stocked and the bathroom amenities luxurious. I always appreciate a magnifying mirror and robe. The sitting room was separate from the bedroom and both had wall mounted TVs. The bed was comfortable and freshly made each day. The furniture even had modern built in USP charging sta... Read more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont. It was easy, had a very nice room. Enjoyed the amazing hot tub and the gym was decent though the weight room could be improved in terms of options. The staff treated me well and I enjoyed the breakfast I had.

I stayed at this hotel for a work related conference. Great location. Everything is accessible from here. As you would expect from a Fairmont, the rooms are very luxurious and well appointed. Service is very good as is the food. Not sure if I would return for a family vacation, as the rooms are a bit on the smaller side. Great for business and for couples looking for a romantic trip.

This hotel is conveniently located and you can pretty much walk to anywhere for the downtown attractions. The room we stayed was executive suit. It did feel good to stay in the historical building with newly renovated good sized space. A potable bed was set up for my son without being asked. But the Heater in the suit bothered us quite bit since it initiated with a loud pop sound every time it automatically started. And the street traffic in the morning were noisy too. We did not sleep that well... Read more

Love the newly renovated room. The service is top notch. It really doesn't get better than this place. Best hotel in Seattle! The checkin was perfect, we had two rooms and requested same floor, they put us next to each other which made it even better. Had breakfast through room service the second day, the omelet was delicious! My sister had the eggs Benedict and it was really good too, would highly recommend. Close to shopping.

It's hard to top the Olympic. I have been staying here for 30 years and it still manages to deliver a great night's sleep and great food in Shuckers. Wonderful doormen/valets! Great service all around with extras in the room such as really good tea kettles.

We stayed here one night and loved our room. The bed and bedding was fall in love fantastic. The pool and whirlpool area was spacious, immaculate and airy. No harsh chlorine. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The lobby and mezzanine was decorated with 22 Christmas trees all for charity. The ice machine on our floor did not work which did bother me, oh well. It was our 30th anniversary and a tray of chocolate dipped strawberries with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate was delivered to... Read more

I really loved the renovations here. Much nicer guest rooms than before. High quality finishes, modern design, but still classy and elegant. Breakfast at the Georgian was better than last stay too. Overall very pleasant.

After staying at 7 other Fairmont properties, this one had me question if we truly were staying a Fairmont property. We felt that as we entered the hotel with our suitcases - we were not greeted by doormen and had to even open our own doors as we struggled with our bags. Check in wasn't seamless as it usually is; service in the Georgian Restaurant was underwhelming while service in Shuckers was to Fairmont standards. The newly renovated rooms and hallways was very comfortable and well decorated... Read more

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed everything about the hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. We did not go to the on site restaurant so don't have an opinion there. Staff was very friendly. Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants and waterfront. Only a couple blocks from train that we took to and from airport. Saw the Festival of Trees appear overnight in the lobby. Quite a sight! Gym was well stocked with equipment and the pool was great.
