The Alexis in Seattle is wonderful. The hotel is nicely appointed and within walking distance of all the fun sights of downtown, including the waterfront and Pike Place Market. Our recent visit was our second time, and the hotel did not disappoint. The room we stayed in was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed; the front desk staff and valets were very courteous and helpful; and our breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was tops, We will definitely stay here again.

I have been to Kimpton properties that I prefer to this location. Pros: The hotel is convenient to most downtown sights, everything is walkable. Staff is effective and helpful. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Cons: The bathrooms are a little run down and dark. No airport shuttle. Room service menu is limited and very expensive. Overall pleasant stay, but lacking any wow factor.

We loved this location. Walking distance to Safeco and Qwest Fields ... as well as the Market and all of downtown (AND, since it is on First St., you don't have to hike up the whole hill to 4th and 5th - where most of the hotels are). If you are not a Kimpton rewards member, sign up! You get free Wi-Fi, a "raid the bar" credit good for $20 worth of mini-bar indulgences (or drinks at the regular bar). They also offer lots of great packages to members. On this trip, we got free valet parking ... Read more

This hotel is in the heart of Seattle and close to every thing! It is a beautiful hotel with huge rooms! Their customer service is above excellent! I would just like to say thanks to Mark at the front desk-he should write a book on customer service!

I had a one day court appearance at the King County Courthouse, and so needed to pick a hotel nearby. I had stayed at The Alexis once before, and was fairly pleased with my experience. The Alexis is a nice, boutique-type hotel, with tastefully done (if not eclectic) rooms that offer most (not all) of the amenities one would expect at a four star property. My room was large, well outfitted and perfectly accommodating. The staff's performance was absolutely sterling. You could tell that they re... Read more

Second Kimpton Hotel we have tried in Seattle and we have nothing but good reviews. From the moment you arrive, everyone is friendly and helpful. Marc and Lara at front-desk to name a couple. Conveniently located near most tourist attractions, the hotel is only a short walk away to the rest of the sites. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with adequate lighting and spacious bathroom. Although we were facing the street, there was no traffic noise to complain about. Overall, we had a very good s... Read more

Alexis Hotel was a great place to stay. Close to all things downtown like Art Museum, Benaroya Hall, Pike Place Market, and the water. 2-3 blocks from University light rail stop, so you don't need a car for a decent Seattle visit. I had business at the Federal Building and across the street at Hotel 1000, both of which were about 2 min away. Dinner/lunch options also within minutes.

I thought the hotel was located pretty centrally to a lot of the tourist attractions. It is close enough to Pike Place as well as the waterfront (Aquarium). It is walkable to Space Needle/Chihuly but you can also take some public transportation. The hotel room we had (room 442) was quite spacious. Despite having 2 double beds, our hotel had a lot of extra space as well as a sitting area which was great. The hotel has extra perks of free coffee in the lobby in the morning (Starbucks of cour... This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many attractions. Public transport is everywhere and is cheap to use. The hotel has a daily happy hour with free drinks and canopies which is very welcome after a day of sightseeing. The room we had was quiet but a bit cramped, not much room for 2 large suitcases and hand luggage. The hotel is nicely furnished and staff friendly. Would stay there again.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Canlis Glass Suite and the room was great! So much space and a great view of the water and the Big Wheel! The staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful, especially Adam and Mark. We have a 2 year old that insisted he wanted and apple and they came up clutch getting us an apple ASAP! The hotel is walking distance to everything! Definitely recommend it!

Friendly quick checkin. Delighted to have been upgraded to a suite. Room was amazing. More like a flat. Beautiful and huge. Brought an extra fold down bed for us as the suite couldn't accommodate a twin. Bedroom was lovely and bed so comfy. Bathroom was great with huge jacuzzi bath. Staff great and wine hour always appreciated. Location is great. Highly recommended and thanks for the upgrade.

This hotel is great. The rooms are super comfortable, the staff is exceptionally helpful and kind and go out of their way to make your stay special. Room: The room was very spacious, bright, and comfortable. It had very high ceilings and a lot of natural light. There was a balcony that I couldn't access (such a tease), and the blackout curtains didn't actually cover all the windows. Also, Thursday morning trash pick up was early (before 6am) and noisy. Amenities: Everything in the hotel is w... Read more

We only had one night in Seattle and had to see not only my dad for lunch but several friends for happy hour and dinner. I love me a Kimpton and I splurged on The Alexis because I used to work nearby and really always wanted to stay there one day. As a Karma Rewards member you get a good rate on a prepaid room plus several perks like a $10 minibar credit (we got almonds to take on our ferry the next day), early checkin/out etc. When booking the room Jenn the asst manager helped me personally mak... I really can not say enough about three of the wonderful employees at the Alexis Kimpton Hotel in Seattle: Mark, Lara, and Adam. From my just-touching-base phone call the night before we left for Seattle, I knew Mark was a wonderful human being, and he did not disappoint! The Alexis Kimpton is lucky to have such a hard-working, thoughtful soul at their front desk. Although we didn't get to interact with Adam quite as much, when we did see him, he was helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. And Lara (... Read more

My husband and I went on a quick vacation to Seattle this summer and spent three nights at the Alexis Hotel. Even though Seattle has many different lodging options, the Alexis was located in a fantastic area with easy access to public transportation and several attractions. The hotel was simply amazing, this is not a huge property, but the rooms are full of charm and the staff was always attentive. We were welcomed with delicious wine during their daily wine hour. The front desk agent who chec... Read more

This great hotel is located in one of the best areas in Seattle. It is close to everything.. Amazing restaurants, bars and nightlife! But what makes this hotel so unique is its staff, from the concierge to the front desk agents and housekeeping team. Everyone is nice and always willing to make your stay more enjoyable. We had only two nights here at the end of a two-week trek through the Northwest, and it was the perfect conclusion to our trip. We have never stayed at a Kimpton hotel, and this experience will have is searching for their hotels first whenever we travel. This historic building is beautiful, and the eclectic art and high-end finishes makes every corner a visual experience. Amazing art and furnishings are everywhere in this hotel! Seattle is gorgeous and there is just so much to explore but when we stayed at The Alexis this year for our road trip up the coast from San Francisco, it was truly the cherry on top. The location was perfect for all the walking we wanted to do to sight see and eat different things throughout the city (not just at Pike's Market). There were a lot of shops but we didn't do much shopping. The front desk team were very friendly and informative. We didn't spend too much time at the restaurant or bar... Read more

I will say it's in a great location for Pike place market and the all activities close to pike place. The lobby was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. My room had an antique feel to it, large bathroom with an extra large shower. Probably the biggest shower area I have seen in a hotel. The room was extremely smaller than I had expected. The area where the bed only had enough room for the bed and side table. Both side tables touched the wall and the side of the bed if that helps you imagi... Read more

This is the best hotel anywhere hands down... The staff is always friendly and professional, the hotel and rooms, are always immaculate, and if there's a problem any problem at all they fix it immediately. I've been coming to Seattle for 10 years and staying at the Alexis and I'll continue to do so. Jenne and her team of professionals always go above and beyond and I am grateful for all of their great work.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My family spent five nights celebrating a significant birthday. We were greeted with warm smiles upon arrival and the associate who checked us in extended his congratulations. There was champagne and chocolate waiting in our room, which was spacious and quiet. We never slept better in a hotel. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, shopping options abound, a ten minute walk to the Pike Place Market, and an even shor... I have stayed at Kimpton properties on recent trips, and find the Alexis to be one of the most enjoyable locations. Great service, fun rooms, easy upgrades with their reward program. Some suites are very large, great for entertaining a group if you were so inclined. If checking a car, best to come in on the side street entrance, 1st Ave is not always available, and even when it is, can be busy. Great valet service.

Service & Location are key on selecting a hotel! As I often coordinate travel for groups, making sure I select nothing but the best in service, location, cost and amenities - Alexis has them all covered!
