I spent a week at the Mayflower Park during a recent business trip. Instead of making my stay at the hotel one of the highlights of my trip, my room was a place I dreaded returning to after a long day. The accommodations within the room are comparable with other hotels in the downtown/Capital Hill area. The only two exceptions are the desk and bed. The desk chair will make you regret having to spend any time doing work from your room desk with the resulting lower back pain. If you enjoy a f... Read more

My husband and I spent a few days over Christmas 2015 here and had a wonderful time. The service, rooms, atmosphere, and property upkeep is consistent for both few day stays we have had in the last couple of years. This is our pick for staying in downtown Seattle. It is centrally located and while "historic" its rooms and amenities are modern and classy. For anyone who wants a romantic, peaceful and relaxing time away, the Mayflower is the place to stay in Seattle. I would not recommend it f... Read more

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. From the minute you walk in, they make you feel like a priority. We checked in during the evening. The gentleman managing the front desk was super helpful, friendly and got us checked in quickly. The room was clean and had everything you would want from a modern room, but it felt like a hotel you could have had a wonderful stay in at any point in the last 50 years. It was almost timeless. The location was wonderful as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this very beautiful classic hotel. It is in the heart of downtown and amazing for shopping. I had to drive around the block, as I missed the Valet parking (the underground parking right next to the hotel is NOT part of the hotel - just a hing) and, well if you know Seattle and all their one-way streets, that means I drove around several blocks and there were nothing but stores - Nortstrom's, a mall. I was not familiar with Seattle and I called the hotel for dir... Read more

I know this hotel maintains it's historic appeal but it just felt extremely outdated. The rooms really need upgrades. Lighting in the halls was poor and the whole time I felt like we were staying in the haunted mansion at Disneyland. The only plus was the great location.

For ambiance, location, late night check-in staff member (Denise?), Oliver's Bar and the food from Andaluca, the Mayflower Park would get five points. But for us it loses points for service. We arrived very late and tired to a friendly welcome, but despite our tiredness we couldn't sleep and wondered why the room had so much street noise. Next day we found that the window was open, so closed it for quiet. That night we couldn't sleep again, not noise this time - it was so hot. Chatting with a fe... Read more

We choose this hotel for its location and weren't disappointed from this aspect. We were hoping the historical nature of this hotel would be appealing however it was just old and tired. Small rooms, slow elevators, and a bathroom with no ventilation so that the toilet paper got wet with the steam from the shower. The whole place needs a revamp - good if they can maintain the historical feel but if they can't then at least make the rooms comfortable and clean.

The hotel has the look and feel of another, more stately era. The lobby is impressive. The location is central to the business district. The rooms are not overly large, and the bathroom was suitable. There is some noise audible between rooms, and from hallway traffic. There are only two elevators, and they are very slow. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Mayflower Park. We stayed in a King mini suite which was clean, spacious, and well appointed. Service was very good, especially the valets who were consistently fast getting our car out front and who were very polite. Excellent mixologists at the classy Oliver's lounge and breakfast at Andalucca, albeit on the pricey side, was hot and tasty. Definitely recommend over any of the large chains. We'll be staying here again!

My three sisters and I enjoyed staying at the Mayflower Park so much I would highly recommend it to anyone. We rode Amtrak from Portland and it was easy to transfer to light-rail, which dropped us less than a block from our hotel. The corner suite was quiet and had two queen beds in a tight-fitting bedroom. But it was nice to have a separate sitting room and two bathrooms. There was no refrigerator in the room, but it did have a coffee maker with lots of Starbucks coffee. Oliver's bar was righ... Read more

First time to Seattle and only had a weekend. It was our gift to our daughter-in-law and the Mayflower made it perfect in every way. Due to the somewhat mixed reviews, I was a bit uncertain but it was one of the high points of the trip. Both rooms were lovely and the double bathrooms in our son's room worked out great for a family with children. Nice bar for them to enjoy alone time while we babysat, and I loved an early quiet breakfast in the cozy, classy restaurant. Beautiful ambience (an... Read more

Great location. Close to Space Needle via monorail, a short walk to Pike Market, plus nearby shopping in the hear of Seattle. A classic old hotel, but with a good restaurant and nice bar with a luncheon menu.

We stayed here for two nights before we went on to Hawaii. We were looking for a nice, cosy, centrally located hotel and the Mayflower Park Hotel ticked all boxes. Our deluxe queen room was huge. We loved our stay! Easy walk to many attraction, so close to the Light rail which we took from and to the airport, nice staff and comfortable beds. You could hear a bit street noise (expected in a central city location), but otherwise very quiet. Very good sound insulation between then rooms and floor... Read more

The staff and lobby areas were all great.. My room, though clean, was totally view less ( I know, someone has to take those rooms) and the price for a chicken Cesar salad with a pot of coffee ($41.) was, I think, a bit steep .

This is a great hotel near everything. Stayed because we wanted a haunted hotel. We did not experience anything abnormal. But we did get this very strange spirit image on my camera. I was super excited about this. Comfy beds and great staff. We had a great time!

They damaged my new blouse during dry cleaning, tried to claim the damage was already there, and only refunded the cleaning fee. They acted like the cleaning fee of $8 was more than enough after ruining a $60 dollar blouse. Entirely disappointed by the dishonesty of the service (claiming prior damage) and lack of customer service (offering to pay for repairs or replacement). We spent almost $800 here for our 4 night stay.

This hotel is a landmark property--you can tell it must have been beautiful in its heyday. However, there are plenty of things this hotel could do to modernize it, and make it more comfortable for guests. The decor is very outdated, and the room I stayed in had an unpleasant smell that is typical of older hotels. Grout in the shower was pretty dirty or moldy. Room service options were very limited, which is surprising given the award winning restaurant in the hotel. The prices were not unrea... Read more
