The rooms are a bit smaller than I am used to, but they are clean and quiet. As other reviewers have indicated, the fan never turned off when on auto mode. The front staff is great and made sure that we had a nice room for our anniversary getaway. The executive lounge was better than most of the other hiltons I have stayed at. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon and normal continental items. The lounge at night at nice had some great food ( tortellini one night, egg rolls another.) This... Read more

Be aware that it is a steep uphill walk from the University Street Station to the hotel. It is also a steep uphill walk from the Seattle Art Museum and the market. The rooms are small. The connecting wall to the room next door was very thin so you could overhear conversations. The food in the Executive Lodge was mediocre but the service was excellent.

We arrived at the hotel way to early for our own good thanks to our red eye flight. We arrived at the hotel about 6am knowing there was no chance we were going to be checking in. However we did leave our bags checked at the hotel which we appreciated. There was a guy in the foyer offering assistance and recommendations. We asked where we could go for breakfast in the area. He suggested a couple places and said where they were. Awesome, if they had been open. Unfortunately we had to roam the st... Read more

I wasn't pleased staying at this particular Hilton. The ac unit couldn't cool the room, the water for a shower in the morning was barely warm and there isn't any where to park to drop your bags and check in without paying for an hour of parking (which was $9.00 per hr.) They give you 15 minutes free parking but, there is no way it can be done in that time. I wanted to check in, drop my bags and go out for the day. Definitely not up to the Hilton standards. I would not stay at this hotel again. P... Read more

From the moment we pulled up out front and the bellman, Jerry, introduced himself, you could tell the staff at the Seattle Hilton is indeed exceptional. This followed through at the front desk on check-in, to the hotel manager who was greeting guests at the complementary reception in the Executive Lounge that evening, and continued on with housekeeping, who went out of their way to help locate a lost item after checkout,. It's unusual to encounter such a uniformly friendly staff, and after speak... Read more

The Hilton Seattle was a great choice. The hotel was in a great location- easy walk to Pike street market and downtown. We didn't have a car, but I understand parking is pretty expensive. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would stay here again.

My husband and I went and stayed here before a cruise to Alaska. Was very pleased with location as well as accommodations. Was here for two nights and three days they let us check in early. Also after our cruise use the facility and kept our luggage for us for an entire day. Location was excellent everything from a drug store to target as well as tourist stops all in close range. Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff is great especially desk clerk Long.

I wish I could say this hotel was fantastic, but I was underwhelmed. This hotel felt like a Hilton Garden Inn, and not a Hilton. The room was a decent size, and the staff were very polite and friendly, but my hotel room had a tiny bathroom with an awkward layout--two thumbs down for that. The hotel is also a tall and narrow building. The pedestrian (street level) entrance is several floors down from the hotel lobby where guests check in and can dine at the Redtrees Restaurant (the only restauran... Read more

The location of this hotel is great. But, that is where the good news stops. We drove past this hotel a few years ago and saw the front entry and thought it looked appealing. Looks can be deceiving. What we thought was the lobby of the hotel was only a small ground level entrance. As we came into town this time around, we were looking for the valet. There was no valet. We drove around the block to find parking. We initially missed the parking lot. On our second pass around the hotel, we look... Read more

This is a Hilton? I have three positive things to say: I was greeted nicely in the lobby upon my arrival, I received an early check-in, and the bed was comfortable. These three things did not make up for the horrible room I received. Very small and no table to work on. Located right by elevator, and the fact my room had an overhead light just outside the door, made it impossible to have a dark room. The view was spectacularly awful, unless of course, you like a view of a roof. The bar/rest... Read more

Alison, Long, and every other member of the front desk staff were beyond helpful, and they all thought of me enough to sign a card and deliver a "good luck" local beer to my room. Recently stayed at the Hilton Seattle. To say the least, I was very disappointed with my stay. I planned on staying for two days, but upon arrival, I was walked due to the hotel being overbooked. In my opinion, the gentleman at Reception was not trained on how to deal with situations as such. He was unsympathetic, frazzled, and didn't seem to care.  As it was late at night, I accepted my fate. I was walked to the WAC (nice hotel) for the night. The hotel is a little odd as it is built on top of a parking garage, although that is not obvious until you check in and find the lobby is on the 10th floor. The hotel is spacious, modern and clean with pretty much nothing to fault. Rooms are large and well appointed. The executive lounge is very large and has a couple of waiters serving drinks. Arrival: Smooth and easy. Upgraded as a Diamond Member to Exec Floor which was nice. Enjoyed the gesture of fruit infused water at check in. It's a very compact check in area and not directly at street level. The Room: Enjoyed two rooms, both were similar in size, but one faced freeway, the other the city and the bay. The hotel seemed understaffed at night when I arrived. I had to wait for several minutes to check in. The room was OK in terms of cleanliness but the entire decor seemed 20 years old. The furniture was old, beat up and cheap looking. The TV was old and really cheap looking. Hilton needs to update this hotel urgently. An average Hilton property. We had points and we're looking to stay downtown for two nights before a longer Seattle stay and we are Honors Members. The rooms were older - but not outdated. They charged $3 for morning coffee - that just didn't seem right. Maybe it is the Wisconsin cheap guy in me... The bar was boring. If you have the points, want to stay downtown and are looking for a bed. Go. If you want more from the hotel - look elsewhere.

We just had a quick overnight at this hotel before a cruise but the room was very nice and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our flight came in early in the morning so we were several hours early for checkin but they had a room available and let us check in at no additional charge. This is a huge win because we had been traveling since before dawn and were exhausted. The price was a little high for our budget but it's right in downtown and walking distance from Pikes Market.

The hotel is old but not outdated. The best part is the location. We walked to dinner and to all the shops close by. Also very close to Pikes Market. if you need transportation to the boat the hotel will call a cab or you can just stand outside the hotel. There's usually at least one waiting. It's about 20 minutes away from the dock for Royal Caribbean.

Seattle Hilton has a great location for access on & off I-5 as well as easy access to all the downtown Seattle sites. All of the Hilton's staff were extremely polite, professional, and most accommodating. On the downside, all hotels in downtown Seattle are expensive and this one is too, including the adjacent parking garage charge. Specifically this Hilton should upgrade their double beds into queen size instead. Otherwise it met or exceeded or expectations for a great location while in Seattle.

The Lobby is not located on the ground floor, so we never encountered the staff when coming and going which contributed to an over-all unfriendly feeling. (There was a bellman on one occasion on the ground floor.) The room was clean, but the tub drained incredibly slowly, leaving the tub slimy. The bedside lamp must have had a short in the wiring because it would not stay on. Overall, not at all worth the price charged for the room.

Hotel room was a bit small, but the layout made great use of the space. Tons of counter space and under-counter space in the bathroom. Furnished nicely. Great and very helpful staff. The two doormen we encountered were knowledgeable and helped with recommendations. Great view of downtown from our room on the 16th floor (first several floors of the hotel is parking).

I stayed 7 nights in an executive room. Rooms are comfortable but not as clean as it should be. One day my room has not even been done... For the last night, I have been blocked the access to my room because of a 1 night payment missing (out of 7) that I was not even aware of. Air conditioning is very loud... trust me you can hear when it runs... They offer as well complementary breakfast and evening reception for executive rooms. That was quite a good surprise but then you realise that dozen... Read more

Our brief one night stay after lengthy travel and before flying out of SeaTac was a pleasure. Staff was on-the-ball, friendly and professional. Executive Lounge access is a worthy perk of an executive level room which itself was reasonably priced. Superb, central downtown location also a bonus.

The staff at this hotel are ALL 5 STAR! EVERY single person I had interaction with was very helpful and customer service oriented.. The person in charge of training the staff absolutely needs to be kept on board & commended!!! The only staff member that I heard complaints about was that during the executive hour in evening, he wouldn't offer more drinks to a person if they already had two drinks.. (if this is a rule, it should be communicated to the guests, as some felt slighted) --other than ... Read more

As a downtown hotel this Hilton left a few things to be desired. First of all there is no place to get out of your car to register. There is very little in the way of signage. We had to go around the block twice to figure out how to stop the car in traffic and unload our luggage. Once inside the bellman was very helpful. The registration is not on the ground level so you take the elevator up to that level. Since I had pre registered check in went very smoothly. We had 2 rooms reserved and one ... Read more

The location is great a short walk to pikes market and many restaurants and bars. Entry into the hotel at first is a little confusing no real place to park or get picked up. Checkin is a couple floors up. All the employees i interacted with were great. The bed was comfortable some of the furniture was a little outdated. There was no lamp on one side of the bed and no place to plug in electronics without unplugging something else. The room as clean, wifi and the air conditioner all worked w... Read more

My daughter and her fiance?? chose to have their recent wedding and reception at the Seattle Downtown Hilton. We had a great experience there. The ceremony was in the Windward room, which worked perfectly. The reception was held at the Top of the Hilton. Katie Martineau, catering manager, was wonderful to work with. She kept us informed every step of the way and offered suggestions that helped us tremendously. We had been working with another catering manager who left the Hilton about 7 m... Read more

The hotel is very nice - clean rooms and well appointed. The staff was helpful. Parking onsite and great downtown location. Close to great restaurants and shopping. We did not eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. there was some noise outside one night but that is one of the tradeoffs when you stay in a downtown location. You can't go wrong with the Hilton Seattle for the price. It was the most reasonably priced downtown hotel available during our trip dates.

Just came into town for an overnight stay. Easy (but expensive) parking, location is very central with lots of activities and eateries around. Room was up to Hilton standards, as was the rest of the property. Very clean and quiet. Staff is very accommodating, Complimentary breakfast up in the Executive Lounge was a little disappointing. Coffee is Starbucks (naturally), bacon, and a little turnover rather than eggs. Cereal was available and some fruit. I've seen better at other properti... Read more

I usually like Hilton's very much, and the staff here were very nice. But the bed was so soft that it required boards to be added, the feather pillows were horrible but were replaced by barely adequate foam pillows. The hot water in the shower was erratic, which made bathing not much fun.

Tramain checked us in at the front desk. She was very pleasant and helpful. When we arrived in our room, we were disappointed because of the rooftop view rather than the beautiful Seattle skyline. A quick trip to the front desk where I asked Tramain if there was any chance to move to a room with a better view. She graciously arranged another room. Most impressive was how she met us at the old room and helped move our luggage to the new room. Tramain made sure the new location was to our li... Read more

Hotel was very busy but we were taken well care of by Kristine on the front desk, the executive/club lounge on the top floor is the best to date of any I have been in while staying the the USA. The rooms are clean and above all else, the staff from the front desk, housekeeping and lounge where all excellent.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, within walking distance of many Seattle attractions and restaurants. The rooms are small, almost NYC small. The bathrooms are especially small. In the Executive Lounge, the breakfast is mediocre. The evening happy hour is much better; it includes complimentary beer and wine.

I stayed for a week for a recent conference at the Convention Center. It was extremely convenient to walk and surrounded by great food and shopping options. The rooms were a bit narrow and toilet (yes I know this is a bit picky) but it was a commercial toilet like in a restaurant bathroom. Also the heat and air ran but weren't very efficient at keeping the room comfortable. Overall though, worth the stay if you are attending business nearby!

SUMMARY The WORST Hilton Hotel I have been to in my LIFE. Not even slightly satisfied. ================================================================= CONS Parking is in a overpriced public garage that costs $42 U.S.D. per night. Almost impossible to find from street level. The lobby, which is very small and non-charming, is on the fourteenth floor. The shower didn't work until I injured myself turning it on, and even then the water pressure was a joke. Food was VERY overpriced. Bathroom... Read more

This is a really nice hotel, close to shops and bars and not far from attractions such as Safeco Field, Century Link Field, the Pike Place Market and Capitol Hill. The staff member who checked me in was lovely and that set the tone for a great stay. My bed was great, the room was comfortable and I got upgraded to an executive floor with access to a free drink period and free breakfast. I'll definitely stay there on my next Seattle visit.

A little quirky getting in through the parking garage and navigating to the check in desk. Parking is ridiculously expensive, $43. The rest of the hotel is Hilton quality. The Hilton Honors free internet was very spotty and couldn't connect but I used my mi-fi. Nice restaurants nearby.

Hilton Seattle is not the newest hotel in Seattle, yet overall was pretty good. We paid extra to upgrade our room to the executive floor and had access to the executive lounge for breakfast. I would say that it was not so worth it to upgrade since the breakfast wasn't so good (not much varieties to choose from, breads were cold, utensils and napkins were old). In terms of guest rooms, shower area was way too small and we could only shower in a small bathtub. Fitness center was great. Sound proof... Read more
