What a perfect location! We were 4-6 blocks from Pike's Market and the Space Needle and great eateries! Our room was VERY clean (although it did initially have a slight smell to it), and everyone from the hotel desk clerks to the maintenance were friendly and helpful. Be forewarned that the elevator is a tad slow (nothing major though),the rooms only have queen beds, and the walls are a tad thin, but the location and staff made it worth it! We'd definitely stay again!

Staff were friendly, and welcoming. Upon knowing we're celebrating something special that's why we came to Seattle, they gave us free parking on our stay. The room was clean and decent. Great location. Walking distances in all interesting places around. Coming back for sure!

The room was modest but adequate and clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very good for the cost of the room---only a 10-15 minute walk to downtown or Pikes Market, and the hotel is on a major bus route with stops next to the hotel. We also got parking at an underground, secure, private car park close to the hotel for $20. Hotels and parking in downtown Seattle are very expensive, so the Belltown Inn was very good value for money. We would definitely return on... Read more

I was in Seattle for 4 days on business, and needed a place to stay. I was attending an international conference so naturally most of the big name hotels were either all booked up (even 5 months before) or crazy expensive. Belltown Inn was the perfect middle ground. I found it reasonably priced but a little further away than I'd hoped to be. However, it didn't matter because I enjoyed the 10 minute walk every morning to my conference. Also it was nice to return to a quiet part of town at the end... Read more

The room was small but clean - hotel in the process of renovations - rooms now have a/c - bath had new fixtures - walking distance to Pikes Place Market and Space needle - front desk staff was great, even called us a taxi to the airport when we left. For the price, it is a good value.

Had the pleasure of staying at Belltown Inn for a week. Was a bit surprised when they were renovating the lobby while operating but even more when I realised they were doing the same with the hallways where paint job was being done. But the friendliness of staff in lobby as well as the people doing the job was such that I forgave it all. Rooms are clean and nice as well as the hotel overall. The roof terrace was a nice place to relax, it can very well be made even more cozy with better seating a... Read more

strongest point is friendly, neighborhood knowledgeable staff. hotel was under renovation during our stay - so yes there were some minor inconveniences - not a big deal. biggest positive comment is yes we would stay there again for visiting downtown Seattle

Arrived at this hotel on my birthday. Hotel was undergoing some renovations, so the hotel lobby was shut down, and I had to check in at their side door of the building, which was their laundry room. Clerks offered and helped me up stairs with my bag, since elevator was out of service during renovation. Upon check in, I was offered a complimentary beer or wine, but I declined. I was given a nice room on the 5th floor overlooking the inside courtyard - this provided a very quiet stay for me, w... Read more

My husband and I extended a business trip in Seattle to spend the weekend sightseeing and enjoying the city. We checked into the Belltown Inn on Thursday and stayed through Sunday morning. As many reviewers mentioned, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which wasn't really an issue, although the hallways had a very strong paint / chemical fume and were rather loud during the day with vents and fans meant to disperse the smell (I presume). Reading many other reviews, I was expecting ex... Read more

I stayed at the bell town inn in June, seemed the best deal I could get in a city that tends to be quite pricey to get a good hotel. Location was excellent for visiting the pike place market and also a walkable distance from the space needle. Hotel was clean and i felt secure in and around the property. Would recommend to any travellers who like to avoid staying in motels/ hostels but are travelling on a lower budget.

Really liked this neighborhood in Seattle...lots of restaurants and shops close to the hotel (check out Biscuit B!tch next door to the hotel); the hotel is walkable to both downtown sites like Pike Street Market as well as the Space Needle, EMP Museum, Chihuly gardens, and Olympic Sculpture Park. Staff very helpful and friendly. 2 problems: parking...they only have a limited # of spaces available and the pay options are VERY unfriendly for all-day parking; as of 6/2016 there are renovations go... Lovely hotel, very clean and quiet, comfy warm bed. The staff all all friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were doing some renovations, which was fine, it didn't detract from the stay at all.

This would be a small two star hotel in Paris, but I liked its quirky charm and especially the price point. Seattle is a wonderful, but quite expensive city and so while these rates may not seem eye-popping to bargain hunters, they are among the best in town. The Belltown neighborhood itself is centrally located and I think the hotel slogan something akin to "walk to anywhere" is apt. I liked the 'hood...very diverse and open minded even if there are some scruffy characters in parts. Splendid ... Read more

I chose this hotel for its location about halfway between the Space Needle and the Pike Place Market, because I had a very limited time to sightsee. It was the perfect base of operations for walking around downtown Seattle. I stayed one night on June 9th. The room itself was cozy but well appointed, with a little kitchenette and some free coffee and popcorn. The hotel also has a lovely courtyard, and the staff was super friendly and helpful -- absolutely no complaints there. The only drawback wa... Read more

Belltown as a neighborhood is really cool with good restaurants, shops, and bars all close to the hotel. I would consider staying here again because I liked the area a lot. I was disappointed by the renovations at the hotel while we were there, going on in the lobby (half covered in plastic) and the halls and some of the rooms on our floor. The renovations weren't noisy and did not bother us. I'm sure this will benefit future guests, but it didn't benefit us while we were staying. The room w... Read more

This hotel was in the middle of a renovation when we arrived a few weeks ago. No mention of this was made at the time of our reservation. Would have been nice to know. Also, there is NO parking! All parking is with public and private lots for $20+ per day. Again, no mention of this until we arrived. Room décor was average and there was minimal noise. Pro: Within walking distance to most sites and attractions. Cons: Located in the middle of several shelters, YWCA and homeless care facilities. Lo... Read more

We liked the location and the facilities. However, the construction detracted from everything. There was an unpleasant odor in the hallway and in the room which dissipated over time. Also, the room did not have any of the basics that you would expect in an efficiency apt - no silverware, no glasses, no pans, no Kleenex and no paper or pen.

Cannot beat location with easy walking distance to all Seattle proper attractions. Unfortunately under construction when there no noise just a lot of stuff undone. Room was small and completely unremarkable. Also some street noise if you get a street facing room.

Excellent location, within walking distance to everything. Great value for the price - much cheaper than many hotels I looked at. Loved that the rooms had mini fridges and microwaves in them - great for leftovers and for storing market finds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee, soda, water bottles, microwave popcorn in rooms. Complimentary water and lemonade in lobby. Can check out bicycles from hotel. Yes, they're undergoing renovations but no, it didn't affect our stay in the slightest. Great room with a very big comfy bed and little kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Nice shower. Very clean. Jimmy on the front desk is an outstanding helpful and pleasant guy to deal with! Rick was good fun too. The location is perfect; we left the car on the lot and walked everywhere. Bell town is a cool little location with lots of bars for night time entertainment.

Staff was super friendly. Lots of good food around. Not in a bad area...that's just seattle and a city. No parking...24h garage nearby. Our room was tiny and hair was in the sink. Everything is overpriced in seattle but I'd say try a place in queen anne.

Good Location, near many of the Seattle Attractions. Remodeling did not bother us. Price was reasonable when compared to other hotels in this area of Seattle. Hotel prices in Seattle are expensive but we enjoyed our clean room and friendly staff. Reasonably close to Seattle Port for Alaska Cruise.

Great location in the heart of Belltown. Walking distance to tons of great restaurants plus the space needle and pike place market. They were doing some renovating but it didn't interfere with our stay. Going to look even better when done. The rooms have tv, fridge, microwave, and coffee. Comfy beds and clean rooms. The staff is very nice as well and knows the area if you have questions.

A fairly simple place to stay, nothing hugely noteworthy about the hotel per se. The location however was spot on for a quick visit. I could easily walk to Pike Place Market. Clean room, comfy bed and quiet which made for a good nights sleep which was all I needed for a one night stay

My son and I spent three nights here whilst visiting Seattle. We wanted somewhere from where we could walk easily to all of the sites and this fitted the bill. The staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The air conditioner was efficient and quiet. We didn't use the microwave in the room but that and the fridge are certainly handy to have. The great laundry room means you can afford to travel light. We would be very ha... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for one night in July, 2016. The front desk employees were wonderful. I arrived in Seattle by train at 9:30 a.m. and even though check-in time was much later, I was allowed to go on and check into an available room. My room was on the courtyard and very clean and nice. There were soft drinks and water in the mini fridge and complementary coffee and popcorn. There were renovations going on but this did not inconvenience me at all. Stayed at Belltown Inn for 2 nights in late July. I chose the hotel for its location between Westlake Center, Pike Place, the waterfront and Key Arena. The location worked out very well. From previous comments, yes the room can be considered small, but it worked out for me as a solo traveler. Room contained a queen size bed, desk, chair, bed side tables and a closet. There is a small foyer that has a mini frig, microwave, coffee maker, some glasses and sink. The bathroom had sufficient shelf spa... Read more

The first thing I must address is whether you need 1 or 2 beds in your room. I was traveling with my aunt so we wanted 2 beds. Apparently, there are only a few rooms with 2 beds. We were on the second floor, in a front corner room (at 3rd Ave and Bell). It is very loud! There are 2 bus stops outside and the bus runs until 1:00 am and starts again at 5:30 am. I put in earplugs to deal with that. What I couldn't deal with are the neighborhood people outside between midnight and 2 am hanging out, s... Read more

I stayed at the Belltown Inn while waiting to move over to my conference hotel I was in town for. Had I known in advance it was such a cool property, I would have just stayed there for the duration, especially given the rate. I lucked out that night, as there was a street festival going on (it looked to be for a charitable cause of some sort), and there was music, food vendors, and interactive booths. In this area, there seems to be a combination of visitors and natives. Likewise, there's a nic... Read more

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price per night was considerably less than other downtown hotels. The location also cannot be beat, as it is about six blocks from either Pike's Place Market or the Space Needle. Downtown restaurants are also walkable or a $4-7 uber ride away. You do need to realize you are not paying for a Four Seasons experience. Some renovations are in progress, but some things like the stained bathroom linoleum remain to be refreshed. GREAT location. Walkable to Chihuly gardens, Space Needle, Fish Market & other iconic downtown Seattle sites. Plus, nice shopping in area. However, rooms were very tiny; hotel under construction; terrible mattress and spacey hotel staff. I wouldn't spend more than 2 nights there, although it was very affordable for Seattle & location. Parking lot was very accessible for a nightly fee, but a great convenience.

This hotel is the BEST in terms of location of being .5 miles to everything from a tourist's standpoint. They are upgrading the hotel so there were some renovations but it wasn't an issue. It's a great boutique hotel and I would choose to stay here again when I visit Seattle. The only thing I would say is a problem....they didn't have blackout curtains...only blinds. So all night, your room is illuminated. Otherwise, it was perfect!

My granddaughter and I, on an adventure by train from Montana, stayed in Seattle at the Belltown Inn. We selected this hotel based on positive Tripadvisor reviews, and once again found them to be accurate.
