Marcus was very nice when we checked in. The room was everything we expect in a Hampton inn. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay here. One thing we would like to suggest to them would be make it no smoking near the doors outside. The hallway was a little smoky.

It's certainly good to occasionally find a hotel that doesn't have all of the windows for the sleeping rooms sealed, or "fixed" to allow but a sliver of ventilation. On this delightful spring night in May it was soooo nice to open the 18" x 4' horizontal window (with screening) and not need to turn on the HVAC unit. The I-95 "drone" sound about 1/2 mile away lulled me to sleep very peacefully.

Stayed overnight while attending a wedding. Had a beautiful king room, top floor, quiet, even though it was near the elevator (a plus for me with a cranky knee). Friendly hotel staff, they provided a free shuttle to take us to and from the wedding, which was an enormous help, since there is so little parking near the Mansion. Charming shuttle driver was kind enough to stop for us at the 7-11 to pick up some snacks on our way back to the hotel. Spacious room, frig, microwave, coffee maker of ... Read more

Whenever I spoke to the staff they were very courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and easy to reach from the lobby. There was a power outage for a couple of hours one morning but the staff on duty made sure there was sufficient light for people to get some breakfast. He had already made the coffee so no one could complain about the service. The pool area was clean though there were no towels available on one occasion.

This facility is located south of Washington, approximately twenty five minutes except during rush trafic. If you know the roads and travel west on Ox Road, you have ready access to the Fairfax area. Travel South to Quantico is only twelve to fifteen minutes. Good location, great staff and very efficient caring service.

On a long trip. Great for stop over and rest. I think having food delivery from local restaurants might help make this location more attractive. If you are on a long trip and you come to retire for the evening you don't want to search for food.

This hotel has the best pool and hot tub! Clean and very well kept! Grounds are always perfectly cleaned! Rooms are excellent and top notch cleaning! We travel a lot due to medical issues and I need to see a range of doctors for myself and my newborn and let's just say out of 4 years of being in various hotels and diamond members for Hilton this is by far the BEST!! They always greet you with a smile! Anything you need i.e. menus or questions of the area the staff is very familiar with the area!... Read more

This is the perfect hotel for the Lake Ridge/Woodbridge area. Traffic is so horrible in the DC Metro area that you must stay very near your destination. Great staff however the hotel is old and needs to be upgraded. Not in the best of areas but very close to I-95. Could not beat the nightly rate of 120.00 especially since it includes breakfast bar. Considering all the kids at the hotel they did a nice job keeping up with food. Special shout out to the guys at the front desk. The best !!!

The staff was very helpful, especially at check in with Devin and one manager I don't remember his name. The problem that I have is I have stayed at a few Hampton Inns and this hotel is very outdated compared to the others that we have stayed at. The AC in our room was a window type and it was very loud when on it was hard to sleep. We did not notify management because all rooms had the same type of window AC. Although maybe the one in our room was louder then others. When we arrived the first ... Read more

Very quiet even though room faced highway. Room spotless. Toilet did run and the temperature seems hard to adjust correctly. Otherwise excellent for sleeping. Breakfast buffet was crowded and perhaps locating the waffles outside the middle of other foods would help the flow of meat on buffet .....disturbing. VERY nice staff helped offset deficiencies.

So I have always trusted Hampton Inns for a nice stay, no matter which state I am in. But this is the first time I have been here and actually had trouble. First we show up ten minutes before three and have to wait a good 40 minutes until our room was cleaned. Then we head up to the room and get a single room instead of the double we prepaid for! Now I am not a super picky person but when the room smells like moth balls inside a gym locker, I get a little grossed out no matter how clean the room... Read more

We changed rooms and when we went in the 3rd room there were people in this room too! So we were given a 4th room that still felt damp but at 10:30pm we just wanted to go to bed. The desk wa... On our second night there, the person on duty enter our room around midnight and claimed she thought the room was vacant and she was checking ac. My two kids (12 & 6)and I were in room with recharge thing on door in key slot. After incident, my wife tried to enter room later that night after going out with family and could not because the locks were changed. The room was fairly nice. Stayed in single king - it was clean and roomy. The rest of the hotel had some bad points. First of all, we had hoped to swim over our long weekend, but the indoor pool was nasty. Very murky and the filtration system was obviously not being run. Public area carpets very dingy and worn. Door and trim paint chipped, scrapped and shabby everywhere. At breakfasts, the waffle maker was dead. On the smoking patio, ashtrays wore full of nasty tobacco water, piled with butts an... While traveling I-95 I try to stay at Hampton Inns for their consistency. This one was not the best I've stayed in, but it certainly wasn't the worst. First the good: Great, friendly staff, firm beds, good robust coffee, easy on & easy off the highway, nice pool and hot-tub and clean rooms. The not so good: Extremely spotty wi-fi, very small and tight breakfast area, bed pillows that are way too soft, ultra thin face cloths, surrounding area feels run down and deserted. We stayed here on our way from NY to NC. It was tucked out of the way and we found to to be a fantastic location. We were about 30-40 minutes outside of DC. So that lead to an impromptu trip (around 7pm when traffic dies down a bit) see some monuments!! We will definitely be back to stay here when we do a trip specifically for DC. Stayed in the Hampton Inns Potomac Mills/Woodbridge the last couple of days. Now, I'm a hilton honors person so I'm typically biased towards Hilton branded properties. For good reason (points)! However, I must say that this is the least desirable Hilton property I've stayed in - maybe ever. Not that it was all that bad aesthetically in the lobby or even outside, but the room looked old and more importantly (or least desirable) was the room smell - awful. I don't normally mind being in the middle of nowhere, but when I am traveling, I do enjoy the comfort of being able to get out and walk to something local. This place is walking distance to some pretty shady sides of town (at least by the looks of it). The place needs a face lift. My room seemed old and outdated and had a funny smell. Hampton Inns are always a reliable and comfortable property. The front desk staff service was excellent - each and every person during my stay. They were kind and went the extra mile to provide good service. The room was clean and quiet. I didn't find the bed or pillows to be comfortable, both too soft for my taste. The breakfast was good and very generous hours. I enjoyed the fitness room as well - it was clean, the treadmill worked well and the free weights were good.
