My wife and I stayed here on 7,500 Marriott points and were really impressed. It's in a shopping center area, but it is a good location to get to the historical sites nearby (such as Belle Grove and Cedar Creek) and many restaurants or the historical part of Winchester. This comes with breakfast as well. Looks like a pool which we didn't use. There was a fitness center which I saw some guests using as well as laundry. The staff were very friendly. We actually checked in at 10 AM and the room was... Read more

As part of a crew member on a race team. The suite I was in was paid for by another person so I had no interaction with the staff but the suite was shared with 2 other people. The room was laid out nice and we didn't use any of the appliances in the room. We were basically there for sleep. One of the guys had to sleep on the sleep sofa which he said he could feel the springs thru the mattress but he did get a good nights sleep. The bed I was either something was wrong with the mattress or it was ... Read more

We've stayed at this location over the last 6 years and our most recent stay was like our first - very nice, clean room, everything you need it seems in the room, friendly and helpful staff. A nice place to relax and unwind, while feeling safe and in a clean room. Highly recommend short or long stays. (Our first stay was for 6-8 weeks. Now just for get-a-ways.)

Stayed here for a couple of nights because of the good rates. This place gives Marriott a bad name. The staff was exceptional!!!! However, they can only work with what they are given. It's an older property, needs updating, supplies and a massive cleaning. I felt a need to clean my own room, upon check in. Why? Floors were noticeably dirty, bathroom floor/counters corners were also visibly not clean, and paint chipping. When I asked about additional towels, I was given a KITCHEN towel to use a... Read more

This property is not up to Marriott's standards. Worn furniture, old beds, smelly room, dirty carpets in hallways. Needs some upgrades. Hotel staff was nice but this place has gone way down hill. Disappointing. I will look for other hotels in Winchester next time I am in town.

We had a two bedroom one bath suite. Carpets in hall stairway were stained. Front desk clerk was friendly to deal with. Our suite looked updated and clean. No issues there. Ample parking and good location. Would stay again if passing through.

We like TownPlace Suites. We've stayed at several different properties. But this place has issues. We checked in Thursday to be told that are request for paying with two credit cards couldn't be done. What? Really? There were several housekeeping issues. The stove top was a big one. Someone who stayed before us melted something on it. It smelled bad and needed to be cleaned. Hello housekeeping?? The faucet in the kitchen leaked so bad it dropped all over he floor. Again, housekeeping? We didn'... Read more

Needed a room for the night. Front desk clerk was very pleasant upon check in. Suggested convenient places for dinner. Room was nicely appointed. Bed was comfortable. Room appeared clean. However, the carpets in the hallways were stained and seen better days. Location was convenient to Interstate. Downside was traffic noise was heard in room overnight. Also noise from neighboring rooms. Breakfast was typical cereal, pastry, waffle fare. Nothing special but saved a stop on the road. Up... Read more

We got lost - because our navigation sent us downtown. We called - when we arrived - we were already checked in - the front desk person was fantastic. All in all, the hotels is a bit worn....dirty carpets, chipped walls. Our room itself was well maintained and he mattress was very good. i'd stay again - breakfast was ok too.

I called Marriott to confirm what the pet charge would be for a one night stay because we always travel with a small dog. I was told that the charge would be $25 for one night. $75 for longer stays. So, I made a reservation. Upon checkout following a one night stay, I was presented a bill with a $75 pet charge. I objected and was told that they had recently had a policy change and that the charge was now $75 for a one night stay. After explaining I wouldn't have made the reservation with a pet ... Read more

When you approach the front of this hotel you notice the inappropriate single door design which requires banging with the luggage cart to get through, followed by another obstruction in your path you must go around to reach the front desk. Once checked in the maze continues as you must go down another hall and negotiate another door, followed by a long hall to reach an elevator. The elevator I was directed to was on the opposite side of the hotel from my room which required a long walk from one ... Read more

We had an issue with our room when we first arrived. I called the front desk, and it was quickly resolved. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The only critique that I have was the breakfast - the oatmeal was one large lump of oats and the delicious looking fried eggs were ice cold. They were also out of coffee - not important for me, but others were upset! I used the instant oatmeal package, and the next morning, we took our eggs back to the room just in case we had to war... Rooms were fine, check in was efficient, though there were not many luggage carts. When checking out folks would take cart up to their room even though they weren't leaving for some time. If you don't mind being inconsiderate(we do), grab the first cart you see on the morning of checkout and take it to your room. Breakfast was typical.Fried eggs patties(yes they were) that were good and turkey sausage. We were taking a break on a 20 hour drive so we didn't do much but check-in, sleep, eat breakf... Read more

Things were generally worn out and in need of update. This summer has had us in other Marriott properties and this one is lagging. There was poorly repaired water damage to the wall around the shower. Breakfast was adequate, if unspectacular. Not inclined to return here given alternatives in the area.

It was very busy property and our room was not ready when we tried to check in at 3 pm. The front desk woman was excellent at handling the situation as we were not the only people experiencing the delay. She should get a bonus for her friendly attitude and apologies. Good for one night

Myself, husband, teenage daughter and our dog all stayed in 2BR suite over labor day weekend. Suite was priced perfect for all of us, and it was very clean. Also noted there were many other dogs onsite but not heard. Only down side was the dog fee was higher than other hotels. Great kitchen we used to make dinner to save money and a free breakfast :) Already booked our next trip.

Extremely clean room with a full size refrigerator, grill top, microwave & etc. Very roomy and lots of towels and toiletries were also offered, if you forgot anything. Breakfast was quite good, which was surprising due to the reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

Nice property with a great location just off the interstate. Check in was a breeze. Ladies at the reception desk were lovely. Breakfast was just the usual, ok. The location was great because it was in the back of a shopping mall. We were in need of gas and bottled water and a few other items and it was all right there. Also a nice little pub in the mall for dinner. Also the usual pizza, Italian restaurant, deli, grocery store. Has it all.

Stayed here one night recently while on a trip. Stayed on points. Arrived late in the evening. After getting everything to the 4th floor room and mostly unpacked, found the bathroom door would not even close. Bottom hinge was loose in the wall. Also the entry door to the hotel - actually two doors - one about 4-5 feet behind the other - are not automatic/electric entry, and do not have an automated door opener like you might see for wheelchair accessible. Our party of six were planning to meet at this hotel for a happy weekend reunion. Reservations were made 4 months in advance and triple checked to make sure we were getting the 2 bedroom suite with the kitchenette and living room area. But upon arriving and receiving our room keys and loading a luggage cart, we discovered we had been given a King bed room with kitchenette. How are six people able to fit in one King bed? It's an average hotel on the level of an Econo Lodge. For those very frugal folks who have animals I'm sure it's a good fit. For a platinum member who relies on the Marriott system I just wasn't accustomed to that type of location so to me it was a tad odd . The surrounding lot includes a Dollar Store so if you can get by the dogs you can go on a shopping spree. Clean and comfortable with a pleasant staff but just not my cup of tea. A downgraded Fairfield Inn .

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in October 2016. It is pretty easy to get to, just off I-81, and it's a short drive to Winchester. Parking and internet are free. The hotel is back off the main road, next to a Dollar Tree and a strip mall. The staff were very friendly, and check in was easy. When I travel I always stay at Marriott properties if I can and I was happy to find one in Winchester. Everything was clean and modern just as I would expect from Marriott. It's not a high end place but better than most places you could stay in. Check in area was a little hidden but easy and painless. Breakfast was ok but not great. Probably the best place you can stay for under $100 in the area.

I stayed here one night while in the area. The hotel is hidden away behind a shopping area, so it was quiet and peaceful. It took a while after I arrived for a clerk to come get me checked in. I noticed the property is heavily used, with carpet stains, scuffs, and marks in abundance in the common areas. Odors from other guests cooking dinner made their way into my room. After I went to bed, the cooling system shut off (must be on a motion detector) and the result was the room became too war... Read more
