Raining outside but the swimming pool brought us sunshine. We had dinner at Anthony`s Pizza, then caught a movie at the Steven City Family Drive-In. Saturday morning we woke to rain so we had a nice breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Afterwards we hit the pool, and swam up until checkout at noon.

I usually book from IHG because of the membership. There were no Intercontinental in Winchester so end up booking Holiday Inn. To be honest we did not expect such a clean and friendly heartwarming staff service. It was pretty eye opening and I'm sure I will stay here again.

Stopped for one night as we were traveling home. Tried and hungry we searched for a hotel as we drove on I81. The hotel has a bar and restaurant open late, also a plus. I travel for business about 120 overnights each year and this Holiday Inn had a very polite and courtesy staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quite. Will make this a stop each travel when in the area.

It was clean. It was quiet. Not much more you can ask for. If you need a place in Winchester, this isn't the worst to use. The breakfast here though... just not good. It was severely understaffed and the food was not fantastic

We stayed one night on our way to the Motorpark in Summit Point. We usually don't ask much in a hotel when we go to the race track: a clean room and some coffee in the morning. But for the price range we use, this hotel was best. Very new room, comfortable, a very attentive staff. We decided to have a full breakfast and the staff understood we were on a schedule. They got our food at incredible speed and made our experience and excellent one.

We called about a hour before arrival and no only did they accommodate us but i cannot get over how friendly they were. Went out of their way to provide us with a room. We have two small children with us and were getting very sick of being in the car. The hotel was wonderful. We don't stay at hotels a lot but this one was super exciting for us. We had a handicapped corner room which the children loved. It was near a fedex/ups facility so they could watch the trucks as they wanted. There are ma... Read more

Check in was smooth and easy. Plenty of parking available. Very nice hotel staff. Only stayed one night but would definitely stay again. Beds were standard hotel beds. Rooms were clean, had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toiletries. They only qualm I had was the breakfast. When I booked the hotel I had the option to upgrade to the breakfast price (just $5 more per person), so that's the option I chose. It was a made-to-order breakfast instead of the standard hotel complimentary or buffet sty... Read more

We booked online as we were looking to be away from DC and the airports. We began our journey in upstate New York and arrived before check-in time. The woman at the front desk was able to accommodate us and found a room that we could get into right away. The room was immaculate, bed and pillows perfect. There was a coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and alarm clock in the room. There also was coffee available in the lobby by 6am. All of the staff were friendly and helpful as were fellow trave... We have stayed at this hotel on our way to NYC several times. This time 18 may 16 was extremely good. The hotel was in great condition, the room was clean, neat and appeared to be well maintained. The Heating/cooling system worked quickly accurately and quietly to maintain the set temp. We didn't try the restaurant as we have another choice in Winchester that we frequent every time we stay there. The staff was as usual, very friendly and efficient.

The hotel itself is quite nice, but the front desk staff is the worst I've ever experienced in my travels. Patti is the rudest desk clerk I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She refused to acknowledge our booking through a 3rd party. She told me that she should not have to deal with people like me. A manager easily found our reservation and tried to make it right. Bad desk staff means a bad experience altogether!

The hotel is great stop overr and in a reasonable price range. I enjoyed a mid-afternoon swim in the pool to cool off. The room was a King Size and very clean. I used my Veterans status and was treated with great respect as well.

Great hotel, great location, super clean and really friendly staff members. The cleanest Holiday Inn I've stayed. Close to 81 and HWY 11/17 so, easy access in and out of town. Breakfast is offered buffet style for $9.99 or menu served. I recommend if you are with family to get a menu, it has lots of breakfast selection ranging from $6-to-$10 and they serve your breakfast.

Was there on a recent summer Saturday night as a stop on a road trip with my daughter. Booked room 24 h in advance via travelocity. When we went to check in they couldn't find our reservation - overwhelmed front desk clerk there all alone with long line of families waiting to check in, also having to get pool towels, make change for restaurant staff - after much ado the front clerk said a mistake had been made and he was going to have to ask someone to leave our room- that someone was in our ro... We are on a cross country driving trip from California. We have stayed in Holiday Inns most of the way. I commend holiday inns for their consistency and this one in Winchester, Virginia is no doubt top notch. We will continue to stay in holiday inns for their cleanliness, consistency, comfortable beds and the space of the rooms. There is a couple of issues I would like to comment on where I believe you could improve on and one avoid a liability. The bathtubs are very slippery and I highly ... Read more

This was a last minute stop for us after a long day of driving. We decided to stay here because of the good rate, even though breakfast wasn't included in the price. Our initial room smelled like someone had been breaking the rules and smoking in it. We alerted the super friendly front desk host who quickly and happily changed our room for us. Our new room was terrific. No smoke smell and it was the cleanest hotel room in which I have ever stayed (that says a lot since I travel often)! We enj... Read more

We haven't stayed at a Holiday inn for a very long time and we were very pleased we chose this one. It really is a easy on , off from the highways. Kyle checked us in and gave us dinner suggestions. The phone activity at the desk was very busy and he handled each call as if it was the first of the day, cheery and professional. We had a minor issue with the commode and with one call a gentleman came and fixed it very quietly so as not to intrude. We appreciated this as after driving all day we we... Read more

We stopped here at the end of a long day of driving. Was so glad we did! One of the cleanest and most comfortable rooms we've ever stayed in! My entire family had a great night's sleep. We didn't have time to use any of the amenities-we checked in late and left right away in the morning. I booked this room online using Expedia and there was a mix-up with dates (my fault). Stayed one night. Front desk clerk in back room as I waited to be seen. Pretty matter of fact and certainly not much of a greeter. Hotel is quite nice. Did not eat in the restaurant. No recognition from staff as we came and went through the lobby. Room service server quite personable as we shared the elevator.

This stop was just what I needed to recharge in the middle of a long drive. The fitness room has many options, the pool is warm and welcoming, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was a hot tub in the pool area. I was too tired to go out and look for a place to eat, so I sat at the bar in the hotel's restaurant and ate there (something I have never done before when traveling alone). The bartender was great. Nice, new, clean and cool - exactly what a traveler needs after being out in a 100 degree day. I was on the fourth floor, which I thought would be louder. There was noise until about 10p, then everything got quiet. Props to the builder and designer for the excellent soundproofing.

We decided to stay here over night on our way to Williamsburg. Jessica was at the front desk and was a very pleasant woman. Our room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge in each room. Which is nice. We slept really good. On our way back from our vacation, we decided to stay in Winchester again and chose this hotel again because we enjoyed it the first time.

The night receptionist was very cold, unfriendly and curt. Not at all like the experiences we've had staying at this hotel in the past. Our room was very clean and pleasant. They have a full restaurant. From staying here last year, they raised their food prices a minimum of $5.00/meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If we weren't so tired from driving all day, we wouldn't have eaten there. The food was no different than last year. Outrageous prices for this hotel.

Not a bad hotel. Not the greatest, but pretty good. Room was clean and quiet. Hotel was easy to find. Nice rest after a long day on the road. Only interacted with the front desk staff. Some were good, some were indifferent. Not rude - just obviously not thrilled to be there. Overall, a good stay. Breakfast is NOT complementary. Most other hotels in this price point offer complimentary breakfast. Holiday Inn should follow suit. In this location's defense, that's probably a corporate decision, not... Read more

this is really a very nice hotel, BUT they have movement sensors above the room door. if it does not sense movement, it turns the AC off. I get that's an energy saving device BUT there are two HUGE problems. First whenever you come back to the room it's humid and warm because the AC has not been running. SEcond and most objectionable, when you sleep, you don't move, so the AC goes OFF!! insane. it was 95 degrees outside. I'm not getting up through out the night to do jumping jacks to keep... The hotel was clean for the most part and well appointed. After checking in I realized my room smelled like smoke. I called down to see if it was a smoking room in hopes of changing to a non-smoking. He just told me the entire hotel was non-smoking. The day after I checked out I got a 250.00 smoking fee. I had to call at least 6 or 7 times before someone would finally take care of it!

I have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn Express hotels over the years. And, hands down, this is my favorite. In fact, I can't recall ever having slept in a more comfortable bed on the road.
