The staff was up to the usual Hampton Inn standards of helpfulness and friendliness. The breakfast offerings were standard as well. Unfortunately, our room showed signs of aging and felt crowded with two double beds, a desk, a desk chair, and a strange sliding door to the tiny bathroom. We barely had room to open our two suitcases. The room was clean and quiet; but it was simply not as comfortable as the usual Hampton Inn. We would stay there again but only if only Hampton Inns were not av... Read more

We were very disappointed when we were getting ready for bed and as we got ready for bed, found the sink wouldn't drain. You know the maid knew about it, assuming she actually cleaned the room and bath! Why was it allowed to continue unrepaired? It was too late at night to call the desk for a plumber, we didn't want to be disturbed at that time of night. didn't want to be disturbed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast and round the clock snacks and bottled water were really great. The bathrooms look newly updated and the rooms were very clean. While all of that is great, the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were very noisy. This combination made it very difficult to sleep at night. There was road noise and interior noise. My neighbor's cell phone woke me up, as did the ice machine, people in the hallway, and doors slamming all hours ... Read more

I reserved a room at this Hampton Inn (at the midway point of a trip home from farther south) because it had very good TripAdvisor reviews. There is a tremendous amount of choice among chain hotels in this general area so reviews are pretty much the only way to make a decision. In this instance I think the reviews oversold the reality. It is a given that you expect an HI to be clean and the staff courteous, and that was undeniably the case at this one. No complaints about personnel or cleanli... Read more

We choose to stay at this Hampton Inn due to location and proximity to highway since we were only staying overnight to break up out 12 hrs ride to TN. Our room was clean and comfortable. They've recently renovated the rooms with new carpet and a completely remodeled bathroom. The bathroom is excellent - a great design. There were also numerous power outlets throughout the bedroom which made it very convenient. On the negative side, the breakfast area is way too small. The tiny room where you get your food was congested. I tried to wait until there was space to get in, but people kept crowding past me. There was no available seating in the din... Read more

We arrived late and left early however the service and accommodations were typical of the Hampton Hotels. We always stay at Hampton if it is possible. The room and bathroom are clean and well stocked with shampoos, soap, and towels. Breakfast was very good and a good variety of breakfast choices were available. The location is great, right off I 85 with easy access.

Was told that all Hamptons are replacing tubs with showers in King rooms. Instead of giving me a welcome for being a rewards member there was just a selection of items in the lobby. Sits near some seedy apartments but didn't experience any trouble. Good breakfast. Missed the bathtub.Nice pool.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, and I had stayed at Hampton Inns before. The room was spacious, clean, and I absolutely loved the bathroom with its modern designed shower (no tub) and slider door. The hot breakfast varied daily. The e-check in was a time saver. The bed is extremely comfortable, and I have back issues with most beds. I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

Hampton Inn touts quality. I have mostly found this to be the case in my years of staying with this Hilton brand. It is one thing to have minimal room size , but to do something special with it. It is another to maintain rooms that, while clean, don't look like Hampton Inns. This is the case with this location. The two-queen room was smaller than the typical Hampton room. The sheets were dingy looking. I thought this might just be my room, until I saw the cart of sheets outside my door. The... Read more

We have stayed at this property on multiple occasions while driving through the area. It is an older hotel and does not have suites. My husband and I stayed two nights at this property. Our room was very clean, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the shower was great. The only point of dissatisfaction is that the hotel fronts a busy highway and we could hear traffic all night long. We could also hear kids running along the hallways late at night on the floor above us (there was a youth baseball tournament nearby that weekend).

Friendly check-in staff, recently-renovated room was top-notch...everything "works" (TV, furnishings, firm bed, all plumbing...and the latter is no small matter as it seems so many other properties always have one issue or another with the bathroom plumbing), breakfast was well-executed. For the price I paid, this place is the Taj Mahal: It's clean, up-to-date, close to the university, and has helpful staff - the whole package. The complimentary breakfast was adequate - just don't expect gourmet. My biggest complaint was the frequent need to log back in to the wi-fi. It became annoying.

This Hampton Inn provided a nice respite after driving from Connecticut all in one day. The always-good Hampton bed was much-appreciated. The nice, friendly staff gave us tips on restaurants which were within walking distance. The outdoor pool was nice for the grandkids. Breakfast was good, and we were on our way in no time. We had easy access to the interstate from that location. I only wish we could have had time to explore the quaint, old town of Winchester.

OK as we were only staying one night. The rooms had funky set ups...A "sliding barn door" on the bathroom, no exhaust vent in the bathroom, no drawers in the bed area space, just slide out shelves that looked like an old refrigerator. Space was very narrow, like they tried to cram in a king bed in too little of a space. Smaller eating area too. The room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Bath had sliding "Barn" style door with no lock. As always there were problems with the Wifi. Finally did get connected, next morning, could not connect again. Nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. My room was right by the elevator so I used ear plugs and had the fan on high to drown out corridor noises.

Always stay here when we head South. Recently renovated rooms & very clean & comfortable. Like the little snacks/water at front desk when checking in. Everyone always so pleasant & friendly. See you on our next trip!

This hotel has a good location and great potential. The hotel is not staffed sufficient to keep the property in good condition. I understand pets but rooms need to be deep cleaned after a pet has made a mess.

Very conveniently located adjacent to the University in Winchester. Newly refurbished hotel which gave a very fresh impression. As in all Hampton Inn I have visited, rooms are of decent size with large comfortable bed. Clean impression and decent breakfast but nothing to write home about. Do not understand why all the plastic cutlery and paper plates at all Hampton Inns...give a cheaper impression than traditional plates and cutlery. Friendly Front Desk here also and free parking as a bonus.

Staff was very friendly and there were several stores/restaurants that were within walking distance. We didn't eat the complimentary breakfast but it looked fine. There were complimentary snacks at the front desk which we did take advantage of and they were great! I would definitely stay there again!!

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Although, they are small they are clean and fresh. Nice decor. We loved the bathroom barn door, nice touch. Breakfast is ok. We were the 4th floor very clean and quiet. Good location, near apple blossom mall and a variety of restaurants.

The hotel was very clean and nice. But the front desk help was exceptional. The girl was so helpful and kind when she talked to me and she had a sincere smile. Every time I walked through the lobby she greeted me with a kind hello.

I travel often and this is, by far the cleanest, most comfortable rooms I have ever had. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. I have been in hotels where the staff knew nothing about anything outside their doors. I'm hoping to return soon!

Had a great stay at the Winchester Hampton Inn! I was only there for the weekend but the hotel was great with a friendly effective staff. You know how you go to check in and it takes FOREVER? Like, the guy at the desk starts playing Minecraft, or something halfway through? I was in the lobby and back out to my car getting my stuff in less than a minute. Thanks Hampton Inn!

Hotel maid left cleaning rag in the room after I returned from a meeting. My keys had been misplaced and I pulled out two square shaped chairs to look for them and discovered a spoon with dried some kind of food on it. I had to call my insurance company to get into my car and of course the keys were not there. I had asked the front desk clerk if she had any turned in so she looked into the lost and found and did not find any. Over an hour later, she looks again and finds them inside a baseb... Read more

Good hotel. Good location. We stay there every time we pass through Winchester on our way to Central New York from South Carolina. It is within walking distance to Ruby Tuesdays. There are also breakfast places near by, if you don't want the free one.

Quick stay, clean but does show wear in parts however it was clean. Breakfast ok not much for options and we are Gluten Free so no real choice.. Close to Starbucks and ruby Tuesday's both in walking distance. Polite staff BUT around 2am I was awake and heard our door open. At first I thought it was a someone mistakingly trying to get into our room forgetting their room number or just not paying attention.. Then I realized the STAFF opened the door ( had extra bolt across ) just enough to stand... Read more

This was our second visit to this particular Hampton property. We have previously stayed at the other Hampton in Winchester but found this location when there was no availability at that other Hampton location. The staff at this Hampton are very welcoming. The location also features free bags of snacks, free warm chocolate chip cookies and complementary bottled water at check in. The facility features a guest laundry on site - a plus if you're on a long road trip, much better than having to ... Read more
