The staff was up to the usual Hampton Inn standards of helpfulness and friendliness. The breakfast offerings were standard as well. Unfortunately, our room showed signs of aging and felt crowded with two double beds, a desk, a desk chair, and a strange sliding door to the tiny bathroom. We barely had room to open our two suitcases. The room was clean and quiet; but it was simply not as comfortable as the usual Hampton Inn. We would stay there again but only if only Hampton Inns were not av... Read more

We were very disappointed when we were getting ready for bed and as we got ready for bed, found the sink wouldn't drain. You know the maid knew about it, assuming she actually cleaned the room and bath! Why was it allowed to continue unrepaired? It was too late at night to call the desk for a plumber, we didn't want to be disturbed at that time of night. didn't want to be disturbed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast and round the clock snacks and bottled water were really great. The bathrooms look newly updated and the rooms were very clean. While all of that is great, the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were very noisy. This combination made it very difficult to sleep at night. There was road noise and interior noise. My neighbor's cell phone woke me up, as did the ice machine, people in the hallway, and doors slamming all hours ... Read more

Hotel was right on spot. Excellent stay, couldn't find a thing wrong with this hotel and our stay. Wonderful location, easy to get to, comfort, clean, service was excellent, breakfast was hot, coffee fresh and hot, newspaper available and the host and register were very pleasing and welcome you with a smile.

Heading back North from Myrtyle Beach and had lots of choices when we exited the highway. Chose the Hampton brand because of the consistency of service, comfortable beds and pillows. After 9 hrs of driving we wanted a good nighst sleep!

I reserved a room at this Hampton Inn (at the midway point of a trip home from farther south) because it had very good TripAdvisor reviews. There is a tremendous amount of choice among chain hotels in this general area so reviews are pretty much the only way to make a decision. In this instance I think the reviews oversold the reality. It is a given that you expect an HI to be clean and the staff courteous, and that was undeniably the case at this one. No complaints about personnel or cleanli... Read more

We choose to stay at this Hampton Inn due to location and proximity to highway since we were only staying overnight to break up out 12 hrs ride to TN. Check-in was easy, our room was super clean, small but we were only there to sleep. Beds were hard for my liking, breakfast was decent and the staff was great!

Our room was clean and comfortable. They've recently renovated the rooms with new carpet and a completely remodeled bathroom. The bathroom is excellent - a great design. There were also numerous power outlets throughout the bedroom which made it very convenient. On the negative side, the breakfast area is way too small. The tiny room where you get your food was congested. I tried to wait until there was space to get in, but people kept crowding past me. There was no available seating in the din... Read more

We arrived late and left early however the service and accommodations were typical of the Hampton Hotels. We always stay at Hampton if it is possible. The room and bathroom are clean and well stocked with shampoos, soap, and towels. Breakfast was very good and a good variety of breakfast choices were available. The location is great, right off I 85 with easy access.

The hotel is new, modern, and tastefully decorated. The room wasn't huge but had a nice king sized bed and the bathroom was beautiful. Also served breakfast in lobby, enough food to get you ready for the next leg of your trip. Located near restaurants and interstate 81.

Was told that all Hamptons are replacing tubs with showers in King rooms. Instead of giving me a welcome for being a rewards member there was just a selection of items in the lobby. Sits near some seedy apartments but didn't experience any trouble. Good breakfast. Missed the bathtub.Nice pool.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, and I had stayed at Hampton Inns before. The room was spacious, clean, and I absolutely loved the bathroom with its modern designed shower (no tub) and slider door. The hot breakfast varied daily. The e-check in was a time saver. The bed is extremely comfortable, and I have back issues with most beds. I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

We just spent 2 nights here last week. We had to make reservations at the last minute because we had reserved rooms at the other Hampton Inn in town. However we found out last minute their pool was out of service. I'm glad we switched hotels as this Hampton Inn was updated and everything was really nice. Perfect place if you are visiting Shenandoah University. The hotel is within walking distance to Shenandoah University which is convenient if you are in town to visit SU. Also close to the Apple Blossom Mall, several eateries and retail stores. The facility and rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful-friendly and helpful. There's coffee, tea, water and snacks available all day in addition to breakfast in the morning. The pool was clean and a nice treat at the end of the day.

My son and I stayed on the 4th Floor in a room with 2 Queen beds. I always enjoy the comfortable mattress and bedding, including 4 pillows that the Hampton Inn has to offer. This room seemed updated with hooks to hang your facecloth and towel. The refrigerator was enclosed in a cabinet and made no noise at all. This hotel is definitely on my list if I return to this area. Another plus for me was the Starbucks right next door. I was able to get my morning coffee, before checking out of the hotel... Read more

Hampton Inn touts quality. I have mostly found this to be the case in my years of staying with this Hilton brand. It is one thing to have minimal room size , but to do something special with it. It is another to maintain rooms that, while clean, don't look like Hampton Inns. This is the case with this location. The two-queen room was smaller than the typical Hampton room. The sheets were dingy looking. I thought this might just be my room, until I saw the cart of sheets outside my door. The... Read more

Our family stopped for an overnight while traveling home. We found the staff very friendly and professional. The room was very clean and modern looking. The only concern we had was that space to move was minimal; we had double beds, but the space itself was better suited for a single. The bathroom door was a barn door, which my husband pinched his fingers in and our 5-year-old could not open nor close on his own. The breakfast was very nice, but the space again to get food was very cramped along... Read more

We have stayed at this property on multiple occasions while driving through the area. It is an older hotel and does not have suites. But the rooms have been upgraded since our last stay and are very nice for the price. The hotel is right across the street from the University and close to restaurants and shopping. They have a small outdoor pool and a workout area inside.

My husband and I stayed two nights at this property. Our room was very clean, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the shower was great. The only point of dissatisfaction is that the hotel fronts a busy highway and we could hear traffic all night long. We could also hear kids running along the hallways late at night on the floor above us (there was a youth baseball tournament nearby that weekend).

Stopped here for a night during I-81 road trip. Flawless stay. Friendly check-in staff, recently-renovated room was top-notch...everything "works" (TV, furnishings, firm bed, all plumbing...and the latter is no small matter as it seems so many other properties always have one issue or another with the bathroom plumbing), breakfast was well-executed. For the price I paid, this place is the Taj Mahal: It's clean, up-to-date, close to the university, and has helpful staff - the whole package. The complimentary breakfast was adequate - just don't expect gourmet. My biggest complaint was the frequent need to log back in to the wi-fi. It became annoying.

This Hampton Inn provided a nice respite after driving from Connecticut all in one day. The always-good Hampton bed was much-appreciated. The nice, friendly staff gave us tips on restaurants which were within walking distance. The outdoor pool was nice for the grandkids. Breakfast was good, and we were on our way in no time. We had easy access to the interstate from that location. I only wish we could have had time to explore the quaint, old town of Winchester.

We love to stop at Hampton Inns as they have comfortable rooms , great bedding and a nice breakfast. This property must be part of a new room layout that Hampton is trying. I hope it is just a one time experiment. The room is a couple of feet smaller in all directions. This means that there is no chair other than the desk chair since there is no place to put it.
