Kingsgate is very clean and well maintained. The location of the resort is located within five minutes of several restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The activities on site are wonderful. The resort has a very nice swimming pool, large arcade, and a putt putt course that are included with your stay.

The resort is very clean and well maintained. It's in a great location and just a short drive to all the main attractions of Williamsburg. We had a two bedroom unit and there was plenty of room for our family. The unit was updated and well stocked. The outdoor pools were closed for maintenance when I went but the indoor pool was available. All the facilities were well kept. There is also a miniature golf course on property. The only thing I did not care for was the sales pitch on check in. ... Read more

Visited with two daughters and three toddler grandsons. Really good location, and we got a 2-bedroom unit plus a one-bedroom connected, which meant 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 washer/dryers, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms... it was perfect. Especially at bedtime when we could separate the little ones ( 2 yo in pack-n-play in a living room and the two 3 yos in separate bedrooms). The indoor pool was perfect for both evenings and rainy days. Would like to come back when the outdoor pool is open. Only o... Read more

So, the pool wasn't open, but there seemed to be a LOT of activities. Rooms were good, beds were good, kitchen setup was excellent. Landscaping looks fine from a distance, but maybe not so much up close. They may have drainage issues, but maybe it was just because of how much rain they got. This is a very good base to see everything from.

The resort amenities were not utilized due to sightseeing and bad weather for 3 days. We had a mini-lockout. One bedroom and very small kitchen. Glad we didn't have to stay in the room too much. Comfortable couch and bed. Nicely kept. Maintenance responded promptly to bathroom issues. Guest services were excellent.

Spacious and clean rooms. Everything was in good working order. Great location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The outside pools was being repaired/updated but other pool was open. A little cool anyway. Grounds were very well kept. Would stay here again. Washer/dryer in our room and lockout. Two couples and my mother-in-law on this trip.

This resort is ok but it's a little dated. Floors creak above. The one bedroom is really small. The kitchen area is cramped. I do like the microwave/convection oven that they have. Hot water is slow to arrive which has me waiting for about 7-10 minutes to take a shower. Front desk staff were really pleasant. The game room is nice for older kids but not very useful for younger kids.

My husband and I were at Kingsgate May 1-10, and truly enjoyed our stay. We had a two-bedroom unit as we like to have two bathrooms (makes getting ready easier). The unit was very clean and nicely decorated. The best part was the fact that we were there during low season, and we had our pick of parking spaces and there was no noise. One disappointment was the outdoor pool was not open and it was hot (80's & 90's) every day we were there. The pool didn't open until Memorial Day weekend. We u... Read more

Stayed here on a vacation rental. Check in was quite crowded, but is to be expected on a Saturday afternoon. We got the usual timeshare pitch, but it was not pushed on us, which we liked. We declined, and weren't asked again the rest of the week. Like the magnetic keys on the doors, and the condo was very spacious, and clean. We decided to go on a last minute vacation with family over the holiday weekend and we were very pleased with our place. We shared a 3-bedroom lock-off unit with some family friends and had a wonderful time. We are Wyndham owners and have stayed in the other two properties and this one is by far my favorite(they are all nice). The condo's are very nice, the ground beautiful with lots of things to do. They are close together which makes it nice. Putt- putt, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, an adult pool, game room and more. They have a pool bar and small restaurant which is nice to have on the property. Highly recommend.

Check in was decently fast. Since this is a Wyndham resort they don't do high pressure sales...aka after the check in you just have to nod and smile when they offer the tour. Then just inform them you'll think about it...and disconnect the phone. Seriously best decision ever. With cell phones now why have a land line. It is just there to harass you. I foolishly plugged it back in one night for some reason and got a rude awakening the next day at 8AM. Needless to say...disconnected again! Really ... Read more

We are Wyndham timeshare owners and this was our first time at this property. It was everything we hoped it would be. For non-owners who pay a fee (like a hotel rental) it's a great deal not to be crowded in a hotel room. The pool was great and the kids loved the large game rooms (the games were free to play). That was awesome - imagine if you had to keep feeding money into the machines.

Really an nice launching point for Williamsburg and area. Nice amenities and rooms . Do not agree to a presentation of vacation ownership just to get $130 of perks....awful awful not worth $300 of the pain inflicted upon you.

Place is getting run down...They talked us into a 90 min tour with a gift of a free vacation...BEWARE there is a charge to use the voucher....I just checked on line with the voucher they gave me and of course another $200 to stay somewhere. I did find one with no charge (it was a dump) but all the other places where $200 and up. Killed a bug roach in the living room and dishes and trash was in the hall way for days until we told someone.

When I request one, housekeeping came to provide me with another one and it was dirty... Uuuggg. Bugs in the apartment. I was there for work, and it was too noisy, I could hear everything from the apartment next door. Gym was Ok, food was awful so i end up eating outside the resor... Read more

Our 2 bedroom suite slept 6 of us comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked for easy meal prep. Our kids loved the pool and free unlimited use of the game room. If you don't want any freebies, skip the"90" minute timeshare presentation, it took 3 hours.

This was a great place to stay, it was close to everything. Historical parks were near as well as shopping. The place was very nice, we had 2br/2bath, for four of us. If you need elevators, there is none. 3 nice pools, one adults only. Was not asked to go to a presentation, would not have any way.

On a vacation in Williamsburg we found the apartment very spacious and comfortable with all the facilities you require for a good holiday. The amenities were excellent and staff on the complex were very helpful with any minor problem you have. Wyndham have high standards that others should follow.

Location is great to enjoy the area. The house keeping is much to be disired. The building was musty. The carpet was dirty and trash left in the hallways in the commander area. Informed the front office but no change.

Rooms and property were well kept though a tiny bit worn and dated. They really need to replace all of the outlets, nothing stays plugged in to any of them. There are actually 2 arcades! All of the amenities were well kept and functional.

We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. It also features a full kitchen and dining room, plus a pull-out sofa for extra people. and seating for six in the dining room and six in the living room. The layout and cleanliness of the room was good. The check in process was average and there were advisors on hand during check in to provide information about the area and activities available on site. The room layout was good (1 BR, 1BA, small kitchen and living room with a pull out couch). The resort amenities that we used (the arcade and pool) were nice and worth the $7 per day per unit resort fee. Our large 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit had a fully-equipped kitchen and was clean and comfortable. The deck was a nice bonus. After sightseeing all day, we enjoyed the resort's amenities, especially the hot tub and pools. Definitely would go back.

We had a 2BR deluxe, top floor condo. It was a relatively uneventful stay, quiet, clean, well-maintained. We had a problem with an appliance and it was fixed in less than two hours. Staff was nice and apologetic. We'd stay there again even though we didn't use any extra amenities, game room, mini golf, etc.

To start, check-in was pretty easy. This is a resort that does vacation ownership (not the same as a timeshare), so you will be given a sales pitch. I had previously requested a room on the top floor after reading other reviews. I was very happy when we only had to go up one flight of stairs since our building had just two floors. We were within walking distance to the activities, so that was nice as well. We pretty much used all of the amenities. My family went swimming, we rented movies, play... Read more

I did call and ask for more laundry detergent and we walked to the registration area to pick it up. The indoor pool was great for the kids but it wasn't really a kiddy pool. If you'ever ever stayed at a Wyndham resort you should be familiar with the hard sell you have to go through to get your parking pass, if not, it takes about 30 minutes and they tell you they aren't trying you anything, you just need to go to this or that meeting. It's a pain in the @$$. However, we've almost become used to it. What really sucks is that on this particular trip we reserved a suite on the second floor because the floors are very thin and we don't want to hear whenever someone w... Read more

The accommodations at this resort are great! The staff is very friendly and so wiling to help in any way they can. It is so near to all of the major battleground parks. Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown were close enough for day trips. My grandsons are home-schooled and this was the perfect place to come for their educational enrichment. Wyndham had a lot of activities to keep them busy, including an indoor pool! They loved that! Definitely, we will return.

Comfortable condo for a family of four, lots of family friendly amenities. We stayed on the first floor due to the need for accessibility for our son, w/c ramp and wide doorways were a plus. Handicapped parking could have been better, no van accessible spaces for those with a side w/c ramp. Also, the noise level above us was crazy at times, sounded like someone was going to come through the ceiling, but hey it's vacation, kids get excited, it happens.

I agree with the reviews about the resort being dated. I have been to Ocean Blvd, Grand Dessert, Bonnet Creek and this was by far the worst one. The BAD: The room and the hallway had a distinct and overpowering odor when you walked inside. We opened all the windows to air out the unit upon our arrival which made it ok for us to stay in. The location is so convenient to all shopping, Busch Gardens and historic Williamsburg. The condo we stayed in was on the first level with easy access and excellent parking.
