Kingsgate is very clean and well maintained. The location of the resort is located within five minutes of several restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The activities on site are wonderful. The resort has a very nice swimming pool, large arcade, and a putt putt course that are included with your stay.

The resort is very clean and well maintained. It's in a great location and just a short drive to all the main attractions of Williamsburg. We had a two bedroom unit and there was plenty of room for our family. The unit was updated and well stocked. The outdoor pools were closed for maintenance when I went but the indoor pool was available. All the facilities were well kept. There is also a miniature golf course on property. The only thing I did not care for was the sales pitch on check in. ... Read more

Visited with two daughters and three toddler grandsons. Really good location, and we got a 2-bedroom unit plus a one-bedroom connected, which meant 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 washer/dryers, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms... it was perfect. Especially at bedtime when we could separate the little ones ( 2 yo in pack-n-play in a living room and the two 3 yos in separate bedrooms). The indoor pool was perfect for both evenings and rainy days. Would like to come back when the outdoor pool is open. Only o... Read more

So, the pool wasn't open, but there seemed to be a LOT of activities. Rooms were good, beds were good, kitchen setup was excellent. Landscaping looks fine from a distance, but maybe not so much up close. They may have drainage issues, but maybe it was just because of how much rain they got. This is a very good base to see everything from.

The resort amenities were not utilized due to sightseeing and bad weather for 3 days. We had a mini-lockout. One bedroom and very small kitchen. Glad we didn't have to stay in the room too much. Comfortable couch and bed. Nicely kept. Maintenance responded promptly to bathroom issues. Guest services were excellent.

Spacious and clean rooms. Everything was in good working order. Great location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The outside pools was being repaired/updated but other pool was open. A little cool anyway. Grounds were very well kept. Would stay here again. Washer/dryer in our room and lockout. Two couples and my mother-in-law on this trip.

This resort is ok but it's a little dated. Floors creak above. The one bedroom is really small. The kitchen area is cramped. I do like the microwave/convection oven that they have. Hot water is slow to arrive which has me waiting for about 7-10 minutes to take a shower. Front desk staff were really pleasant. The game room is nice for older kids but not very useful for younger kids.

My husband and I were at Kingsgate May 1-10, and truly enjoyed our stay. We had a two-bedroom unit as we like to have two bathrooms (makes getting ready easier). The unit was very clean and nicely decorated. The best part was the fact that we were there during low season, and we had our pick of parking spaces and there was no noise. One disappointment was the outdoor pool was not open and it was hot (80's & 90's) every day we were there. The pool didn't open until Memorial Day weekend. We u... Read more

Stayed here on a vacation rental. Check in was quite crowded, but is to be expected on a Saturday afternoon. We got the usual timeshare pitch, but it was not pushed on us, which we liked. We declined, and weren't asked again the rest of the week. Like the magnetic keys on the doors, and the condo was very spacious, and clean. I was most impressed with how clean and well maintained the grounds were. Maintenance and housekeeping were very quick to any of our needs. The pool area was very nice, and... Read more

My wife, 4 year old daughter, 7 month old son, mother, and I stayed here for a couple of nights. We had a two bedroom condo that was very spacious. It accommodated my family very well. We took advantage of the kitchen both mornings to cook breakfast as this resort does not offer that meal. We did eat at the Tavern for lunch and we were not impressed. The food was priced well but the quality and selection was poor. We did not have a chance to use the indoor or outdoor pools but they were ve... Read more

We decided to go on a last minute vacation with family over the holiday weekend and we were very pleased with our place. We shared a 3-bedroom lock-off unit with some family friends and had a wonderful time. The units were spacious with updated furniture and appliances, but it did not take away from the Colonial feel of Williamsburg.

We are Wyndham owners and have stayed in the other two properties and this one is by far my favorite(they are all nice). The condo's are very nice, the ground beautiful with lots of things to do. They are close together which makes it nice. Putt- putt, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, an adult pool, game room and more. They have a pool bar and small restaurant which is nice to have on the property. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at the Wyndham Kingsgate numerous times. Both in a one and two bedroom. Both levels of accommodations are roomy. The one bedroom sleeps 4 by using the pull out sleeper. There is a two burner stove and convection microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The bathroom is good size and has a stackable washer and dryer. The queen size bed was comfortable. Two bedrooms have two baths, king and queen beds and sleep sofa. Full size kitchen with dining room table and lots of space. We did not vi... Read more

Kind of lost for words. I expected more from Wyndham. The place was more of an apartment complex. This is not what I really thought we were getting. Small rooms. Small living room. With the weather not working for us on the holiday, we were forced to stay inside for most of the day. Our air conditioner for our room died. It was dead for about 6 hours. We made due with the front door open and the back door open. They came and fixed it, but it just added to a ruined day. We had a good time in Wil... Read more

Just got back from a week with friends. The place is awesome. Had a great week. The only thing that was a downer was the combo washer/dryer. The dryer worked, but the washer was really a bad thing. It did not spin the water out of the clothes, even though the load was small. Had to take clothes out and run it more than once.

BLUF: Of the past Wyndham resorts we've been to, the amenities are comparable, but the rooms are not on par. Pros: Three pools; adult only, main pool, and indoor pool. Fitness and activities center is GREAT. The amenities are definitely on par with other Wyndham locations we've stayed at. The resort couldn't have been better located for Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown, and other attractions. Cons: Like most Wyndham places, the condos have two bedrooms. However, there are only two beds total ... Read more

Just wrapped a 3 day stay at Wyndham Kingsgate & it was cool. It is in a great location in Williamsburg-right off of Bypass Rd-short distances to Colonial Williamsburg, W&M & the Outlet mall and everything in between. Check in was cool. I was pitched to attend a breakfast for the timeshare sell, but it wasn't obnoxious. The facility was quaint and well manicured and ABSOLUTELY geared toward families with children. They have tons of activities for families and kids. We stayed in a 1 Bedroom,... Read more

Our check in experience was not good at all. First of all, the lock on our unit was broken, and we needed to go back and forth between the unit and front desk several times in the pouring rain before they finally dispatched a security guard to come with us and make sure the lock was indeed broken. There was also additional confusion because we were assigned the unit 21-203B, and upon arriving at building 21, we found there were no units A or B. The front desk didn't believe us until my husban... Read more

We stayed here through a family members' time share. The room itself was nice with everything you would expect. At check-in we were told they could get is free or cheap Bush Gardens and water park tickets without making it clear it was only if we sat through a sales pitch. The pools were clean but very warm, almost like they weren't filtered enough, not a great thing when they're packed! It was okay overall, but not somewhere we would return to.

Exchanged for a week in a 2-BR. Check in was great and the staff was pleasant. Somehow lucked out with a room right near the pool and where all the activities were. No issues with the timeshare desk - I politely declined the presentation and I was out within a minute or two. Kids will love love love this place. Yes, there's a $6 a day charge but you'll easily make up for that every day. The mini golf is free and the arcade is free (pinball was a nice surprise for me). Our kids played mu... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights. We had a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom "walk out" that were connected by doors for 8 people. This was a fairly good set up for us with lots of space in two units that were joined. The 2 bedroom condo was fairly large and had a balcony with sitting chairs, dining room walk in kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The master bathroom shower only went from "off" to "hot" so that was a downer. The other connected condo had one bathroom and living/kitchen area and one bedroom. All in al... Read more

If you like waiting 3 hours for a couple of towels, then this is the place for you. If you also enjoy a 2 hour security response to the drunken party next to your kid's room, you may never want to leave. The room is large and fairly well appointed, but the (lack of) service ruined it.

My wife and i stayed here for 2 nights in July. WE had a 1 Bedroom suite. It had a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. We enjoyed having the refrigerator. The bed could have been a little nicer but wasnt bad. Our bedroom window looked out onto a nice pond. The staff was nice and friendly. We didnt use the facilities at all but still had to pay the Resort fee of course which is standard at most hotels now days. We visited Jamestown and Busch Gardens.

THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE! Based on our recent experience, we were tempted to switch our reservation to any other hotel before we even got to our room. First of all, we arrived early (around 3:30) to check-in. We knew check-in was not until 4, so it was no problem when they told us our room wasn't ready yet (even though we waited 20 minutes in line for them to even tell us that). We walked around the resort until about 4:30 and went back and asked if our room was ready, and it still was not. ... Read more
