We enjoyed our brief visit to KingsMill Resort and two rounds of golf. Conditions on the golf courses were very good and the staff was very helpful. We stayed in one of the condos which was spacious and well laid out. Our golf package was very reasonable and included an excellent full breakfast every day. We hope to return another time and spend more time exploring the area in addition to playing more golf.

My family and I stayed at Kings Mill Resort over the Mother's Day weekend (May 6 - May 10). This was our 1st visit to the resort. Upon arrival, the grounds were beautiful. We couldn't wait to see what the rooms, the 3 bedroom Riverside cottage, had to offer. At check-in, I met Angie, the desk manager. She supplied the keys and any information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We get to the rooms and during our inspection, 1 of the bedrooms was completely in disarray. The double beds in ... The spacious condos make this much better than a typical resort for business gatherings. You can even hide a couple kids in the trunk and they'll have plenty to do while you're working. If you can convince the boss to allow an extra day for sightseeing, this is a perfect area to do that as well. We've come here for business a few times and this is a wonderfully kept location with excellent staff, including the food service team. We spent 5 days at Kingsmill to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We chose it because of the beautiful grounds, and the combination of championship golf courses and spa services right on the premise. The one bedroom condo with full updated kitchen and living room, worked really well for us. We chose top floor as many reviewers suggested and had no noise issues. We made reservations at the James Landing Grille for a special dinner overlooking the Jamestown River, food was delicious. Another night,... Read more

We were celebrating our 53rd anniversary and also looking at the resort for a family reunion in 2017. The area is beautiful and the grounds are great. The front desk service was really super. When we got to our room , there was a message and in the fridge was a Happy Anniversary surprise. Chocolate covered Strawberry's and wine. We had a dinner reservation at the Elements-(very good restaurant) and it was fantastic. Ron, the bartender, was our server and he was above great. My wife has dietary... Read more

Stayed in a two bedroom suite on the river. Great room and location. Although for a four diamond resort I was disappointed in the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms as they were large containers and not individual products. I expect that design at a lower rated property and not 4 diamond. In fact it is not hygienic as someone could add anything to those containers and the next guest would not know. We have been long time guests at Kingsmill but not in the past 5 years. Also dis... Read more

Kingsmill is a wonderful vacation spot for the whole family. We have twin 18 month old toddlers and Kingsmill was an excellent resort for everyone! We had a one bedroom condo. The condo was spacious accommodating everything you need when travelling with little ones. We took our own pack n plays for the kids; however, I understand the hotel does provide them. It was very nice to have a full kitchen when preparing food for the kids. All of the restaurants were very welcoming and at ease with... Read more

I was with my wife for our babymoon, we chose this place as I was recommended by my friend. The rooms were really nice and it was like a cottage so really liked it. The pool was good, the restaurants were nice too. The only complaint I have is that I called two times to get my room cleaned and no one showed up but finally when I called the third time at 9pm someone came in cleaned the room but did not even fill the coffee tray. We had a wonderful time at the beautiful Kingsmill Resort. The hospitality/customer service was outstanding, the food was great, the room was clean and the LPGA Kingsmill Championship was exciting. The only thing I would've liked to improve was the amount of hot water in the room, we couldn't even take a short shower without it turning cold. That and the very nice young lady at the spa that checked us in was chewing gum which I think is a customer service no, no. Everything else was absolute... Read more

I've visited Kingsmill many times prior to the renovation, and while I thought it held its value enough prior to the room renovation because of the property amenities, it is much enhanced with the room renovations. They are fantastic. We were booked in a resort level condo. Wanted river but they were sold out for Memorial Day. It was not a problem and we saw plenty of the river at the river pool. Was invited to a weekend getaway with several other ladies and this was my first time being here. The grounds are lovely and so many options within walking distance within the resort itself. If you can find time to do a massage I would highly recommend it. They are nice and relaxing. My only complaint is that the breakfast was not worth the price. There were some good/outstanding options but everything was just bland and some of the food was even cold.

Love this resort! This is my second time here and resort is beautiful and well kept. The pool was a bit cold but once you're in you get use to it. We visited the pool bar and the drinks we're good..a bit pricey but that's to be expected. We didn't go to any of the restaurants we preferred to cook our own meals in our room. The rooms were beautiful as well as the grounds and the view. Resort is quite crowded with housing on top of each other and not enough parking. Staff is not very welcoming. We were there for a large family wedding and the day we were scheduled to leave, housekeeping was trying to get us out of our rooms at 8:00 am, even with a do not disturb sign on the door! My family and I vacationed here for our very first trip to Williamsburg. The resort is gorgeous. There are no other words. The staff was very nice and helpful. The shuttle service is wonderful. They will take you to Colonial Williamsburg, Water country or Busch Gardens... they run all day and it is wonderful to just park my car and never have to drive it again until I check out. My family and I had the double deluxe room at the Kingsmill resort. When we enter the room the first thing we notice was the very small beds, they were definitely full size borderline twin. When I went to freshen up I notice that the water didn't get hot, I thought maybe I needed to let it run for a bit in which I did but still the water was just lukewarm. We also notice that our door did not lock at all. I was very disappointed by this resort and probably will never visit it again. This resort ... Read more

I cannot contain my excitement for this place! From the moment I drove up to the Guest Services building to the time I checked out I was in awe of this resort! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Each staff member always greeted me and/or waved when they saw me. I used the Spa and it was wonderful. There is a lounge to wait in for your services and it was comfortable and cozy. The service was excellent and I left feeling refreshed and energized! I am already planning my next trip back!

What a GREAT place! We were only there for a two days but what an amazing place to stay. Perfectly situated between colonial Williamsburg and Busch gardens it was just a perfect place to escape. The room we stayed in was in this pod of rooms that had a balcony overlooking the lake and the rooms were clean and it was a quiet stay for how many people where there. We stayed 3 nights at Kingsmill. During that time, if we weren't sleeping or grabbing a bite to eat off the grounds, this family could be found poolside. My 5.5 year old son probably spent at least 10 hours floating around the lazy river and went down the pool slide 20-100 times. The zero-entry pool was perfect for my nearly-2 year old daughter...and her mother, who realized that laying in the shallow end was far preferable to roasting in the sun on a lounge chair. Nice riverfront room, love... Read more

This was our fourth visit to the resort, and although many things continue to be done very, very well the resort is losing its edge. Golf is now very expensive relative to other courses in the Williamsburg/Newport News area, and the James River Grille remains popular because of its great views - not the food. Still we managed to have a great time at the resort and nearby Busch Gardens.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom condo near Warehams pond. It is a very large property and felt "empty" even though they said it was at 90% capacity. Our condo was huge!
