We went to Williamsburg for our anniversary and chose this hotel because we have had good experiences with other Hilton Garden Inns. This was no exception. Very clean, very quiet, and extremely nice staff. The rates were very competitive and it is very close to the things we wanted to do in Williamsburg.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Our room was very clean and we appreciated the little touches to make our stay comfortable. The beds and linens were so comfortable. I would recommend dining at the Seafarer restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. The food was excellent. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the lobby every morning. Staff were very welcoming and the lobby is very pretty. I would stay here again!

At Williamsburg Virginia, this hotel was at a great location! Near the major tourist destinations and can easily walk to food places. The service was pretty good overall, they helped us resolve an issue with the coffee maker and gave us compensation for our troubles! The room itself was somewhat dated and not that amazing, the beds were okay(subjective as this depends on persons preference), but we have had nicer Hilton garden inn rooms before. Still a great place to stay though!

Great staff, location, etc. but the cable or HD or whatever it was was lousy. I was trying to watch a movie on The History Channel and it froze up every 3-4 minutes. But, the staff really was good. I don't know what else to write but TripAdvisor says I have to write 200 words. That is silly.

Not a great place for couples. Couldn't get a King bed other than in a smoking room. Tiny rooms. Could hear guests in the room next to us choking and coughing all night long. The staff is very nice but I just think this isn't the best place to stay in the area. Nice lobby. Small rooms

This isn't a massive hotel; in fact you get the feeling from the public areas that it is quite small & intimate. The bedrooms are a reasonable size. Ours had two queen size beds, plenty of pillows, TV, coffee maker, iron & a fridge. No room safe; the WiFi was free. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning was quite noisy cutting in and out all night. The main lobby area also contains lounge areas and the restaurant where breakfast is served. At night, a bar is open and during the day, coffee is avail... Read more

This hotel has consistently offered clean rooms, excellent service, and a friendly staff. Their cook-to-order breakfasts are delicious. The hotel is close to the Colonial Williamsburg historic district and also to Jamestown. And it is conveniently located close to many restaurants and other attractions. In addition, the flowers surrounding the hotel are always beautiful!

We stayed at this hotel before and had a very pleasant experience, that's why we returned. To our surprise, the room was outdated and worn. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the air condition was extremely loud, the bathroom was in need of remodeling, the shower was barely functional. The hotel lobby was very nice (it looked newly remodeled) and the staff was fine. We felt that we did not get a good value for the money that we paid. Rooms rates were high for what we got.

Overall great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Property was well maintained. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only problem I had was assuming that breakfast was included with stay. With 5 people in our group it was a little expensive. But I must admit, the made to order omlets were very good.

This is a basic Hilton Garden Inn a place where a weary person can rest. I was eager to rest but had to use email. The connection did not work so I had to make a couple of calls and finally work with a technician to get it to work. I then tried the TV but it did not work. A couple of calls later and someone came to get it to work. The staff is eager to please but it should not be this difficult. Aside from one staff member, the team managing this hotel is lazy and rude. Room was dirty - blood stains on pillow case that weren't mine. Belongings of mine went missing when only hotel staff had access to my room and manager would not even consider compensating me.

Overall a solid hotel, but with a couple of issues. First, the beds actually slopoed downward so that your head was lower than your feet, at least ours did. My family stayed in this hotel recently while visiting the sites around Williamsburg. The hotel has nice external landscaping and a nice lobby. The pool and fitness room looked decent but we didn't utilize them. The rooms however are very bare bones and dated. Both the mattress and pillows were lumpy and the furniture and carpet were old. Its an ok choice, but for $190/night I expect more. Frankly, I was surprised it was ranked as high as it was.

This is an older style HGI, but the service and cleanliness of the facility were great. This was surprising at a tourist destination where big families visiting regularly often mean grungier rooms and cleanliness. Excellent staff and service. Don't expect the full service restaurant of the newer HGI's. Does have a small bar and limited dinner menu though. Breakfast buffet at a price as usual for HGI. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel staff was extremely nice! You are in the middle of several restaurants, and just a few minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. The facilities are quite nice and well kept. The gym is quite unique. Would love to return!!

This is a great hotel with good room amenities and reasonably priced breakfast. The staff were all charming and couldn't have been more helpful. We were able to check in early and our room was comfortable and very well appointed. A good location for numerous restaurants and not far from Colonial Williamsburg and the outlet mall. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This was a very nice hotel-welcoming lobby great location close to everything. The staff were stellar and very accommodating. We were greeted with smile and they promptly addressed our concerns. There was a strong burning smell in the room. I reported it that night and the staff came right up to check it out. Couldn't identify the problem, but confirmed nothing was on or a fire hazard. sprayed some deodorizer offered us free breakfast for our trouble (which we declined because we had early ... Read more

My husband and I had planned our honeymoon to Williamsburg . We had reservation at a local bed and breakfast in the area for 4 nights. The bed and breakfast turned into a complete nightmare. We walked into this Hilton Gardens and told the desk employee our story. They were very helpful and gave a room for 2 nights.

Nice room, everyone was pleasant and nice but not overly friendly. We were looking for a basic room but they were booked that weekend so we were placed in a suite that we didn't need and paid a high cost for the room.

I posted a very positive review about this hotel a while back. Unfortunately like the title says all good things come to an end. Let's start with the poor management of the property and when I say management I mean the head manager of the property. Extremely poor customer service, to the point where I refuse to return to this hotel. Which is unfortunate, because the rest of the staff was really nice. The lobby area has been updated, BUT the poor rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Th... Read more

We stayed for 1 night when we went to visit Colonial Williamsburg and Busch garden. This place is typical Inn place so we knew what to expect. Room are clean, furniture is of litlle bit older type, but all was ok. Room was spacious and there were no strange smells what is typical for inn kind of place. Bathroom was clean and standard decorated. Bed was little bit too soft for me. Breakfast is standard same as in all the places like this, but is decent. Located near restaurants. Parking is free a... The room was nothing special. Very small room. I've stayed at a motel 6 room that was bigger and more cozy. The best thing about the room was the keurig. There were lots of restaurants nearby but I just expected more out of the room being that the name Hilton used to carry a lot of weight.

Last Sunday morning, I thought it would be in my best interest to check out the Inn's restaurant for breakfast. With Hurricane Matthew outer bands batting the whole area this final decision wasn't up to my expectations. I entered the lobby and was greeted by a Jamaican or Caribbean wait staffer whom I never met before. She first smiled, took a good look at my somewhat damp demeanor, and asked If there where more than one guest dinning this morning. Apparently not, since I was quite alone at ... Read more

Staff really nice. Have stayed here several times. Very convenient to doing lots in Williamsburg from Colonial Williamsburg to touring the College of William & Mary to outlet shopping. Be warned though: DO NOT stay on the 4th floor unless you are a smoker!! One end of the 4th floor hall allows smoking so even if you are in a room at the opposite end of the smoking rooms, you will still smell some smoke. They need to either have a smoking only floor or simply not allow smoking in the hotel. ... Read more

We were visiting for our daughter's soccer game, vs William & Mary. The lobby was very nicely decorated and designed. The room was a standard size and we had no complaints. Bed was super comfortable. I usually travel with my own king-sized feather pillow. I didn't need it, as they offered the same. We did not utilize the bar (had our own wine). It appeared to be a self-service area. We also did not use the cafe. There was a complimentary beverage area, with fruit-infused water and a decent coffe... Read more

Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Williamsburg was pleasant and the staff was very warm and welcoming. I was disappointed that they didn't deliver the USA Today papers to the room and that I had to run to the front desk each a.m. to retrieve it, but I loved the cookies and lemonade in the afternoon! Would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel during our move after selling our house in Williamsburg. Very convenient location--near the colonial area, lots of restaurants. Hotel is clean and well run. Two of us stayed Friday night mid-September. We chose this hotel brand because of the great experience we have had in other cities (specifically in Blacksburg, VA). From the tepid reception at check-in I knew it was not the same place. The room was showing the age of the building. The carpeting against the wall by the bed was already coming off the wall about 2 feet long. (the bed was so close to the wall you could barely see it, but then...) Overall the room was ok, clean quiet, passable. I ... Read more

If you want to stay close to Williamsburg but away from all the traffic, this is a nice enough hotel. Nothing to brag about but far from bottom of the barrel. And if you do stay, definitely eat at the Seafarer which is right outside. The food was above excellent and the staff did everything for us but wipe our mouths when we were done eating!

We stayed for 1 night at this hotel recently. The grounds and lobby were well-kept and nicely decorated, so a good first impression. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a small fridge and microwave. While breakfast was not included in the room rate, there was a nice buffet for $9.95/person (hot and cold foods). Cookies and coffee were available in the lobby when we arrived, another nice touch. The hotel is within easy walking distance to a number of restaurants for lunch and dinner.

I booked a king room and to my surprise when I walked into my room it was a double. The front desk told me that they were sold out of the king rooms (yet, I booked a king on the app). The service rep's "solution" was that I could just check out and go to another hotel. That was nice of her? There was no manager on site to speak with. I'm ok with room mix ups, but their problem solving and service was unacceptable.

We stayed for 2 nights in Room 116 (2 room suite). The room is around the corner from the front desk and very near the elevators. The hotel is pleasant, clean and the staff very helpful, but if they try to put you in 116 - ask to be moved. There were 3 of us, so one in our party had to sleep on the sleeper sofa in the front room. All night long, you hear the elevator traffic along with conversations from the front desk employees.
