Hotel rooms are nice. AC in rooms is older unit on exterior wall but is functional albeit a bit noisy. Nice pool and exercise facility. They also have laundry facilities although I didn'use them. Breakfast was good. They had the typical eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, etc. Definitely will fill you up. The one complaint I have with this property is the parking. While they have a few Diamond member slots out front, the majority of parking is behind th... Read more

This is an average Hampton Inn. Unfortunatley, the pool was not adequately heated so my child could not swim in it. That was a real bummer since it was the main reason we chose this hotel. Best feature was cleanliness, worst (besides cold pool) was breakfast. Powdered eggs in the south?

stayed two nights at this hotel. Excellent location, within a 10 minute drive of Colonial Williamsburg. Plenty of restaurants close by, front desk was helpful in finding us a nice BBQ place nearby. We had a ground floor room which was great as we had a fair amount of stuff to carry. Staff was very helpful, room was nice.

We had a very nice time at the Hampton Inn in Williamsburg-Richmond Rd. Went down from Philadelphia on less than a tank of gas. Everybody was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was cheerful and the food was great. They changed up the selections each morning so you would not get bored. Room was clean. Places to eat and shop within walking distance. Going back next year.

This hotel is very clean. The beds and linens are very comfortable. It is your typical Hampton. The staff is friendly and was very helpful for our large group. The breakfast has been nice. It is fresh and changes slightly from day to day. There is free wifi. There is an indoor pool and a small gym. There are serveral stores and restraunts with in walking distance. It is a great location for historical touring.

We have stayed at Hampton Inn at various places and have always been very pleased with their facilities and services offered to their guests. The sleeping rooms are usually very comfortable, and it is really inviting to have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. available in the lobby area at all times. We have found the breakfast meals to be very delicious also.

While I was extremely pleased with the service and accommodations at the Williamsburg Hampton Inn, the breakfast left much to be desired in both the quality and options. It seems that the aforesaid issue appears to be going down-hill, so to speak, since I've been making use of Hilton's breakfast compliment. It almost feels like you're 'skimping' to add to your profits.

Stayed here with my family while visiting Williamsburg. The entryway confronts you with a wall, and you have to turn and look for the desk. The desk staff was helpful during check-in and when we asked about restaurants. The pool was fine, but too cold for my wife and I to go in. (although it was advertised as heated) My kids enjoyed it. The room was fine, with adequate space, lighting, and outlets. Our room had 4 towels as we would expect for a reservation for four people. The... Read more

We stay here routinely when we visit the Williamsburg, VA area, and it never disappoints. The front desk staff here is very friendly and welcoming. They are always willing to answer questions and assist the guests. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, with a full kitchen. The room was clean, and it was quiet at night even with the hotel being full. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection.

The hotel was "ok", nothing to write home about and not consistent with my other Hilton experiences. The rooms and hotel are showing its age and wear. The first room smelled very damp and like urine, the next room was fine. Everything is just older - walls marked, older styles, old appliances, lots of repainting. As hotels are concerned, you could do a whole lot worse than this location. The staff is friendly and the location is central to many places you can walk to for dinner or entertainment away from the parks. The rooms were clean and comfy but a bit on the small side. Overall this hotel is extremely nice. We came for Fourth of July weekend to visit Busch Gardens. The rooms were very nice and overall the hotel was great. The location was perfect and close to everything. The only reason I am not giving this rating 5 stars is because of the holding fee mishap I experienced. We stayed here for two nights and while the room was decent, I'd rather stay somewhere else. The room was very small, dark and gloomy. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my bags on the floor. We stayed only one night and was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and big enough, with a comfortable bed. The typical american breakfast was good. The hotel have a parking and a nice swimming pool hall.

First of all Teresa is a professional at her job. It is a clean hotel. Again Teresa is just amazing at her job. She helped me check in. Explained things to me. Helped us find the perfect burger for dinner. Oh they have cookies at the front desk. This hotel is close to everything in this area. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel last week for one night as it was half way to our destination in NC. The hotel lobby had a nice appearance and check in was fine. Our room smelled like mildew and it was run down looking. The whirlpool was small and extremely difficult to get in and out of! The indoor pool was ice cold - no wonder no one was in it! Since we were only staying one night and we were tired from driving 6 hours, we just crashed there. We would not stay at this hotel again though.

I stay at Hampton inns all the time and this one is very old and and a mildew smell in the rooms. Old fashioned air conditioner that goes off and on all night and the hotel is next door to an old abandoned hotel. We had to switch rooms three times until we could get one with no mildew smell.

I enjoyed my stay here, but the facility is a little worn compared to the other 2 in Williamsburg. Nothing really wrong, service was excellent & rooms were fine, but seems to need a little bit of facelifting & modernization compared to the other 2. Convenient to the historic district, but not walking distance. Takes about 5 minutes to drive to Merchant's Square.

We have stayed in many Hampton Inns and have always enjoyed them and felt we received excellent service and accommodations for our money. Unfortunately, at this Hampton Inn, the staff was not very welcoming, and the hotel and our room smelled musty. I turned the air conditioner up as soon as we got settled in the room to help remove the humidity in the room hoping that would get rid of the smell while we were out for the day, which it did. It was only 60 degrees outside so it's not like it was a... Read more

We try to stay at this Hampton property when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. There are multiple room option, including suites, and the prices are better than the Colonial Williamsburg hotels. The afternoon manager, Teresa, was great. She made us welcome and was terrific with our 2 year old.

We love going to Williamsburg and this is a favorite place to stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the lobby is uniquely designed, conducive to meeting with friends over hot chocolate or coffee (abundantly supplied in the lobby for guests). And it's all at a reasonable price. Manager Teresa is a gem of a person.

Could have been the weekend we were in town as Colonial Williamsburg was decorated and ready for ghost walk plus William and Mary had a football game so breakfast was packed. Couldn't find a place to sit. Same breakfast fare as all other Hampton's have. Just had to stand up to eat it til a table came available. Room was nice but a little tight. It was on the 1st floor near housekeeping and was a little noisy. Also had a door adjoining the next room which made it even less quiet. Good locatio... Read more

The staff at this particular hotel was beyond helpful and polite. I can't wait to see how the remodeling goes over the winter. Also the hotel is in a very good location for visiting anywhere in Williamsburg.

Traveled to Williamsburg to shop at the outlet's and other stores that you can't find anywhere but Williamsburg. We were greeted upon arrival, the room was spotless, breakfast was great, eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit and other normal items you find on a breakfast bar. Hotel was extremely clean, felt safe.

Hampton Inn and Suites at 1880 Richmond Road was very centrally located for visiting Colonial Willamsburg, the College of William and Mary and the many shopping opportunities in the area. The complementary breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day and the variety of items provided, both hot and cold, was much appreciated.

When I arrived at this Hampton, there were two large busses pulling in behind me. That usually causes me to pause and dred who might be arriving. I got checked in quickly and got to my room which was spotless and well appointed. Good internet connection and services. The next morning, I went to breakfast and the room was crowded with kids. The bus crowd! They had come in from Pennsylvania for a class trip. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel handled the crowd well and never m... Read more

Chose this hotel as we had stayed there previously. We booked a queen bed suite with a living room and kitchen. We were traveling with a 3-month old and the room was great. Plenty of room in the bedroom for the porta crib and as the kitchen had a dishwasher, it was perfect for getting bottles clean. Took advantage of the 4th floor laundry to clean a load of baby clothes too. Soap/softener prices were very reasonable. Only $2 each for the washer and dryer. Staff was very friendly and accom... Overall, the hotel was fine for the amount of time we were in the room. It was a great size! We were in the bottom floor close to the elevator, so it was noisy in the am. Ceiling needs attention. There was a huge water mark on the ceiling. The bathtub could use replacing. Everyone raves about the comfort of Hilton beds. This bed was average. The hotel was about 20 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. Not too bad. In my opinion the hotel is overpriced by about $30/$40 a night due to condition and ... Read more

Overall the Hampton Inn and Suites was pretty good. We stayed in the suite. Had lots of room. A kitchen area and separate sleeping area. The coffee maker in the room makes horrible coffee. Don't bother with that. The coffee downstairs is better although it can use improvement too. The room was quiet for the most part. There is a train nearby but if you're a deep sleeper, it's fine. The breakfast depends on your expectations for breakfast. If you just want to grab a fruit, yogurt or make a waffle... Read more
