My family just returned from a lovely trip to Williamsburg. Clarion was a perfect fit for us as we decided to bring along our puppy. The staff at Clarion were excellent and very welcoming. Alice the onsite pet sitter took great care of puppy while we visited Busch Gardens. The hotel itself could use some updates, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg! My kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and the onsite restaurant with bar was c... Read more

Ok, so as the title says the place is currently being remodeled so there is a lot of material all over the place. They are trying to keep things to just to the area's they are working in but that isn't always the easiest. The hotel is in a square shape and they seem to be working on one side of the hotel at the time. It was the cheapest within walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg by far but, with that construction I can see why it is so much cheaper. With all that being said, the staf... Read more

They where ok. We like the restaurant thats attached to the hotel. But we did not like the fact that it was 12.99 an adult and like 6.99 for kids for breakfast. It was way cheaper to eat at Cracker Barrel. So we did. The hotel is old and needs alot of updates. They are trying though. So for a nice stay and close to Busch Gardens it is a nice place to go.

It used to be Sheraton Four Points.Should look nice after remodeling.Nice Receptionist, helpful and patient. Like in old days train regularly pass with some noise, which might be an attraction for children, but if You need quiet rest- forget about it! Location all right because You can walk to historic district (You are almost there).Very busy hotel.

This was a last minute trip so, there were not many other places available because of the number of graduations this particular weekend. The lobby was bright and spacious upon check-in. The front desk agents were friendly and helpful. However, I don't feel that those who work at the hotel should be smoking in the front of the hotel. Once you leave the front desk and drive around to the side of the hotel, you notice a difference. The exterior looks dated and needs to be refreshed especially the ... Read more

The hotel was clean and served a good breakfast in the morning. The rooms needed a lot of updating and it seems they are addressing this problem with the construction. The hotel is fairly quiet at night but the doors slam hard and very loud if guests are not careful. The best part of this hotel is their staff. Frank at the front desk went above and beyond to help out during our stay. He quickly got us another room after our air conditioner was not working, retrieved band aids and ointment for... Read more

The downsides: * Many unrenovated areas are very run down *no AC in hallways or elevator, they were HOT *indoor pool chairs ALL sagging and moldy *overall lack of cleanliness, bathtub had staining, needed comforter replaced due to staining, stained mattress ( there was a thick topper which was very c... I cameto vigina for a family trip. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and friendly. All my questions where answered at the front desk. They where also nice enough to recommend food places to eat. Anna at the front desk was great. She was very friendly and she was multitasking at her best with a smile her face with great attitude. The pool was very nice and I loved the hot tub. Thank U.

The hotel is being renovated. Nothing spectacular but the price is good and the staff very nice and helpful. The location is great. It is just a couple blocks to the historic village. For the price and location, you cannot beat it.

While I would not recommend this hotel for those looking for a romantic getaway, it served our purposes of one night during our history road trip. The room was clean, if out dated. The restaurant left something to be desired, but for the price, it couldn't be beat.

This was one of the worst places we have ever stayed (and we have stayed at some low budget motels before). Although this is a Choice Hotel, it does NOT have a free breakfast. There is a restaurant connected to it that has a breakfast buffet, but it is not cheap. It does have free coffee in the lobby, however. In addition, most of the rooms do not have a microwave and refrigerator. In fact, we had a room confirmation which stated that there would be a microwave and refrigerator. However,wh... Read more

This is a great hotel for a weekend stay. There was good wifi at least in my room. Most importantly it's pet friendly which was a major factor for why we stayed. Anna, the front desk receptionist, was a great help to us and was at our aid whenever we needed something. Definitely recommend this hotel especially if you are in the area and going to Busch Gardens.

Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful! Love that it's pet-friendly and they even have a pet sitter available! Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small & outdated and had some water stains on the ceiling, but it was clean and the water pressure in the shower was much better than most hotels. I can tell they are working on renovations as well. Wish there was a continental breakfast. Definitely worth the price - especially being so close to Colonial Williamsburg.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. This by far was the worst. Lots of renovations going on which is fine but you had to walk through the mess to get to the rooms. The tile in the shower needed some attention. On the plus side it was quiet. It was a cheap place to sleep. If your looking for a nice hotel I would stay somewhere else. If all you need is a shower and a nap then this is fine.

First room not cleaned - dirty blanket thrown in the chair. Given second room - better - but still the carpet was not swept. Tired so we stayed. Next morning asked for third room. Finally got a clean one for the last night - but OLD and bathroom door actually rotting on the bottom. The remodel work was going on - you could see paint footprints on the carpet throughout the hotel. Probably best to close it down and remodel it. Front desk personnel very apologetic - but the hotel needs much work.

The hotel was being renovated so there was construction stuff around. However, the staff was very professional and friendly. I understand the rest of the hotel will be renovated during the slow season. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The A/C worked well which was a big plus in the summer heat. Until the renovation is done, there will be some problems but it is still an acceptable place to stay.

I wish hotels warned you about being under renovation before you arrived. Maybe this place will be ok in 6 months but I wouldn't stay here unless it is only option. Our room floor had crumbs and staples on it. The TV was unplugged and I had to move furniture to plug it in. Could hear every sound in hall all night. Plus their elevator wouldn't open at 2nd floor. As others have noted -- the hotel is still under renovation. It's clearly a much older hotel and some parts still direly need their upgrades that are in progress (vending area on the first floor was a bit beat up, no working ice machine, etc).
