We stayed here during a driving holiday in the United States. Quality Inns can vary in quality, but this one was okay. The rooms are very large and the hotel is located well back from the main road and via a rear pathway, is within a short walking distance to the main street. We were able to easily walk to have a quality meal. It was a rainy Sunday evening and there seemed to be only a handful of guests at the hotel, so what disappointed us is how they clustered people, rather than separate t... Read more

We stayed here one night and I will try to be nice. It was an old motel that they were fixing up. I booked it on short notice. The price was good for what you get. The rooms all have outside access. It was quiet but there were not a lot of people there. The room was fairly clean but needed a lot of touching up. In other words more work on it. The room had all the items needed. But the towels were the cheapest thin things I had ever seen and there were no extras supplied. I will say the bed was c... Read more

This is a good average motel. It is away from the other motels in the area. it is cheaper than the others but away from the places to eat. It is quieter because of its location. breakfast is Ok for the money.

We stayed here on the way to and back from the Outer Banks. It is an older hotel as others will say. they are trying to fix it up and we found both rooms very clean. I will say we stayed in the back building the first time and it has a stale smokey smell. so I would suggest the front building. the Front building room 176 with king size bed was very nice. Very clean and comfortable. I will stay here again. It is a popular choice among AT hikers and they are fun to eat breakfast with. Go... Read more

I stay here several times a year when visiting my son at school. The water machine is always open and on unlike most chains. The rooms are not at all fancy, but suitable and clean. The owners are a lovely family who will always help you.

We had driven the Shenandoah parkway so arrived in this strange little town with nothing booked. The hotel was not busy and I got a seniors discount! The room was huge, everything as it should be and we really enjoyed our stay. Free breakfast next morning was an added bonus.

I've stayed here in March while I was Section Hiking the AT and the experience was good so we decided to stay here again. My issue is with Mr A Patel and how he lied to me! When we checked in on Sun May 30th I said we'd be leaving very early to hike, probably around 5:30am or 6am and I also asked if we could "split" the bill now. He said the Front Desk is manned 24 hours a day (true) and we could split the bill when we checked out on Monday the 31st. We tried to check out at 5:30am but were tol... Read more

We were traveling and wanted to stop for a rest. Unfortunately, everything off the exit was booked and what wasn't, was expensive. We booked this not expecting much. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The area was nice, the rooms were clean and the employees were friendly.

We stayed only one night while traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. The motel is quite large, with a second level above and facing the rear. Rooms are basic but clean and everything worked fine. The bedding was clean and decent. The included breakfast is pretty much what you expect at a small chain hotel. The brekfast area was clean and offered a few types of bread, yoghurt, waffles, cold cereal and hot eggs, grits, etc. The young lady who checked us in was helpful, pleasant and p... Read more

Off the interstate motel. Most of the guests, that we saw, fit into the retirement age or the outdoors/hiking types. This property sits very close to where Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway meet. The room was very nice, staff was friendly and helpful, pet friendly, outdoor pool, does have smoking and non smoking rooms but they try to keep them separate. We are smokers but chose a non smoking room so we could park our truck right outside the door to keep an eye on our gear. We did not smoke in... Read more

We stayed at this property over Memorial Day weekend while in town for a wedding. The location seems a little sketchy at first, in comparison to the other hotels in the area. The rooms were comfortable and mostly clean (cobwebs between the air conditioner and wall). The decor was very outdated. The staff was very nice and the breakfast they provided was decent although seating was very limited. We got a very good deal here and that's the reason we stayed. I would consider staying there agai... Read more

I had a crew come in to town to help with a project and was going to put them up at this motel because it was the closest to my shop. I was using a lodging card I use everywhere that excepted here. He didn't like my temporary card I printed per the instructions on the website so I called the lodging card office. They called him and told me to go back. He was still rude and unwilling to make this work so I took my money elsewhere and they were glad to have the business using the temporary card. ... Read more

We spent three nights here. The room was half the price of the hotels out by the interstate. Our room was very clean and had a comfortable bed, a sofa and a chair. The shower worked well, and the lighting in the room was excellent. Nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel has been around for decades, and it has to be a struggle to keep the place in good repair. All in all, it was quite respectable.

My family and I stayed here for the Labor day weekend. As a former Quality Inn inspector, I immediately knew what to look for and where to check to make sure our room was acceptable. I will start off by saying that the beds, sheets, and mattresses were almost perfect. (a couple strands of hair that may not have come off in the dryer) Unfortunately that's as good as it got for the room. I traveled with my own cleaning products and had to immediately scrub the toilet in and out. (feces) The shower... Read more

After paying $135 at check-in, went to our non-smoking room, the halls reeked of cigarettes. We went into our room, which had a peculiar, but not smoking, smell. After unpacking we went out to eat. When we returned my wife noticed something on her ankles. It was fleas--lots and lots of fleas. I ran out and bought some flea spray for humans, came back, sprayed us both down, so as not to spread them to our car or luggage.I then went to the front desk. The lady there confirmed a previous visitor ha... Read more

The beds were clean and it was pet friendly. Other than that, the place was very run down. It looks like the place was renovated(poorly) at some point. The refrigerator went into defrost mode for most of the night, so all my drinks were hot. The A/C was very moldy. The parking lot was poorly lit, so I didn't exactly feel safe here. For the price, I expected a hotel in good condition.

The Quality Inn brand appears to be the mid-grade level within the Choice Hotels family and this place reflected that. The physical plant itself seems a bit dated but no notable flaws. Everything in the room was good and functioned correctly. It always amazes me to go into a room and see light bulbs burned out or the air handler can't maintain a level temp. This room was 100%. As i've said before, the purpose of a hotel is provide a bed for a traveller that allows sleep. The mattress is the mos... Read more
