Attended our national convention with approximately 400 others from just about every state in the nation. We had meetings, banquets and special ceremonies. The hotel had adequate space and accomadations to meet all our needs

Location is not ideal. Had to take an unreliable shuttle back and forth from the metro every day. Usually ended up taking the Marriott shuttle which was more dependable. No refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was too small and the shower was dirty and awkward. Had to stand next to the wall to get water on me! Room service was hit and miss. One meal was very good, the other was terrible. It was a long 10 day stay.

The Hyatt Regency @ Crystal City, VA was very nice. The hotel is very pleasing to the eye and the accommodations were excellent. The staff made sure that their assistance would take care of my requests. The room was very clean with very pleasant d├ęcor. I was there for business and used the conference rooms on the 3rd floor which were extremely adequate for the purpose.

I will fully admit my first stay here was very good - Clean and well maintained rooms, friendly staff, very quiet and a nice view. The second stay I had here was abysmal. From the very start at check-in I had problems. The agent at the front desk, Brooke, I found to be very rude, condescending, and unprofessional - I honestly almost left the hotel. The room I was assigned the second time was not well maintained. There were multiple large and very apparent stains on the carpet. The furnitur... Read more

Having to wait for over 20 minutes for room service to pick up the phone was unprecedented. I called the reception who promptly connected me to room service for another 10 minutes of waiting on the phone. I personally went to reception and after protesting the suggestion to instead go to the restaurant and sit there, someone finally went to room service and had them call me for my burger. Besides a quick, cold apology there was nothing more for having to wait nearly two hours before I could eat.... Read more

Checked in for a 4 night stay arriving late at night. Slight delay at check in - got to room really tired after all day travelling. Room had a smell not unlike cigarette smoke: woke next morning feeling wheezy. During the night received an unrequested wakeup call at 4.25 am - aaaggghh! Front desk agreed to move me to another room - there is still a smell but not as bad as other room. The hanging space for some reason is only about half of the other room posing a challenge to hang a reasonable a... Read more

Upgraded our room when checking in to a delux king room. It was the largest hotel room we have ever stayed in. We wished we were staying longer. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.

Arrived late, and this place had no food available. The room was quite lovely, though, and I got a good night's sleep. Confusing arrangement for the airport shuttle. They should have told me there was a set schedule when I checked in; as it was, I missed one shuttle and had to sit a long while.

The hotel is very nice and clean as you can expect, but the real difference is the staff: they was more then helpful with me. I had to send a lot of letters (like 600!!), they helped me in any way and they was very effective. Wonderful people, I am really grateful!

I travel a lot so I consider myself an expert on hotel comfort and staff friendliness. Staff at check in did not greet me, I had to ask for total twice, was charged $50 per day for incidentals (of which the staff member did not disclose), stained carpet, lack of toiletries and beverage restock, concierge seemed overworked and in a hurry all the time, shuttle service told us the shuttle was full for our ride to airport for flight but then let 2 other people on after telling us...I can go on and ... Start to finish, very uncomfortable experience. 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy is their mailing address, not their physical location, so your GPS is useless. No hotel parking. Valet parking is $32.00 per day, which I accepted, only to find a parking lot immediately next door for $8.00 per day. Want a complimentary bottle of water, or cookies, or an apple? Forget it! Water was $5.00 per bottle. Want to print your airline boarding pass? You'll need to swipe your credit card. First 15 minutes on... Read more

The hotel is very clean and has good shuttle service to the airport and metro. All of the staff are very attentive to your needs. The restaurants also offer a variety of delicious food and the waiters and servers are very friendly. I will stay here again when I am in DC.

Having been at countless hotels for conferences and leisure travel, I found this Hyatt to have the most welcoming features. Nice architecture with plenty of light in lobby, bar and restaurant areas. Comfortable seating. Excellent conference room set up with all rooms on the same floor. Elevators came quickly. Wonderful breakfast buffet. But best of all was the SUPER STAFF. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and this was much appreciated!

I was here for a conference and got in late and was exhausted. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and quickly I realized I was sleeping on a very dirty and ripped mattress. How did I know? Because the maid didn't tuck the sheet in well and within 10 minutes of being in bed- the sheet wrinkles were everywhere and soon I was just on the mattress. When I turned on the Light I screamed- ok not literally- but there my face had been on this filthy mattress. Seriously hotel management, time to in... Read more

A good hotel and very close to the city. Excellent shuttle service to airport and metro station. Room was very comfortable and access was easy even during busy hours. Wifi is free. Food choices are limited and, in my opinion, overpriced with limited options. Other restaurants available but would be and extended walk.

Overall nice condition and service. Bathroom had no hooks for toiletry bag or used towels, which was odd and inconvenient. Beds and pillows very comfortable and low noise. Price high to me but perhaps reasonable for proximity to D.C. and airport.

I have only one main quibble, and it's a problem that more and more hotels have: No towel racks in the bathroom. Give me a break! And they want us to reuse the towels, too. That makes no sense if we can't hang them up.

Nice hotel - close to the airport (with a shuttle available), within walking distance of restaurants, Crystal City Underground shopping and the Metro. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth checking out as a "backup" to your normal hotel if they are full. The bed was comfortable and the shower was roomy (but no door to the shower so water got on the floor). The only thing that irked me was they didn't offer a micro fridge in the room. If I had stayed longer it would have been a big issue but th... Read more

Great hotel and location. Room is large and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The staff is professional, courteous and welcoming. Location is near both Reagan National and downtown so you can find great entertainment and restaurants. Cinnabar located in the hotel has a delicious buffet or al la carte breakfast at a very reasonable price. Appreciated that TV had digital programming vs analog.

Firstly it had amazing views of the Potomac and Reagan Airport. Its in the heart of Crystal city with puts it within 20mins of major attractions of DC, viz Pentagon, Washington DC, Pentagon mall. The hotel's shuttle connects it to the Crystal city metro station which is not far. Room size was very good. Beds super comfy. Breakfast was good, but spread not large enough. Ditto for lunch. Though there is a Starbucks in the lobby. There was a McDonalds at a 5-6 mins walk from the hotel. Parking ... Read more

Upon checking in, the front desk agent named Eric acknowledged me as I'm a Hyatt diamond member & offered me a complimentary upgrade to a regency suites. It was on 4th floor. I noticed that building is 18 story and was given such a low floor was not pleasant but proceeded to my room anyway. I entered the room and the bathroom door was opened so it was obvious that room is a handicap accessible. I returned to the front desk and spoke to Eric that I hate that room. The hotel is very bad. We called to arrange the shuttle and we waited 25 minutes until someone told us that the shuttle "only worked until midnight". We were waiting from 11:45 but no one came so we had to pay a 20 dollar taxi. The have no breakfast or food service between midnight and 6 AM and the room was very dirty (please check behind the nighlight table on room 547). I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The Hyatt was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had a nice room with anything we needed. My only complaint is that the walls are VERY thin- we could hear conversations in neighboring rooms and the sounds of everyone's doors slamming. Didn't feel private.
