As a relatively thrifty person I choose hotels quite carefully. Weekend prices at this hotel are good for the area and the expereince is excellent. (Weekday prices run about $100 more a night which puts it outside my limits.) Units are very large and have full kitchens complete with utensils and dinnerware. The refrigerator classifies as what I call real. The bed is comfortable, the work table is very useful. The furniture and room are showing a bit more wear than last visit, as are the hallwa... Stayed at the Clarion Arlington Suites for three nights this May. Very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Huge room on 8th floor for a reasonable price in DC area. Parking onsite, fee of course. Great little neighborhood, only 2 blocks to Metro which we rode daily into city: many pubs and restaurants (some with indoor and outdoor dining options) within walking distance. Free breakfast was OK. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in February 2016, while sight-seeing in Washington. The suite was very spacious, clean and well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was very quiet except for one morning when we were awakened before dawn by an extremely loud tv in the next suite. Hotel staff dealt with the problem immediately. The hotel is in very good shape but shows a little bit of wear and tear around the edges. The hotel is just a few blocks from a subway station but there is quite a steep hill... Read more

Arlington Court Suites hosted my family's June 2016 reunion, and proved to be an excellent choice for such an event. For a very reasonable nightly rate, my family members were treated to spacious and smartly furnished rooms with full kitchens (including full-size refrigerators) in a well-maintained building just a short walk from the Courthouse Metro Station. The complementary breakfast, served on the top floor with views of DC landmarks, was also above average. Our stay coincided with that o... Read more

Our room was not available when we arrived, and they stored our bags and shuttled us back to the metro. Huge, clean room. Front desk very helpful with metro and meal schedules. Awesome hot breakfast with real eggs and potatoes every day, a meat choice daily, oatmeal, breads etc. Great coffee! We also enjoyed the light dinner which is served M-W. Coldcuts, pasta salad etc. Tip for metro: take shuttle if possible. When exiting,go to Courthouse plaza exit and then walk to the hotel exit on 13... Read more

Not luxury accommodations, but if you are visiting DC to see and experience the attractions, this is a great base of operations. Comfortable, well equipped and spacious rooms, good complimentary breakfasts and dinners, and close connections to Metro and bus lines made this a perfect place to start and end the day for a family visit to the nation's capitol. Just short walks from a full array of dining, shopping and support options and the full kitchenette made for meal and snack options. Metro... Read more

We rented a three room suite for our family and it was HUGE! The location was perfect and the staff were great. Free breakfast and dinner were so so but can't complain for free. They served practically the same thing every time though. The rooms were great. It was a cute older hotel that fit our needs perfectly. Easy metro access to downtown DC

Room was large and roomy. Hotel could use updating, decor is old and dark. Room was ready upon check in. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. PROS: Free breakfast, dinner, free wi-fi, reasonable parking fee per night ($15), close to Metro Court House station (but a walk up a very steep hill. However, hotel has shuttle van to bring you to Metro station. Close to Arlington National Cemetery. About 5 train stops to the National Mall. CONS: Bathroom door had no hook to hang towels/clothes. Brought 43 students to DC and stayed here for three nights. It is a nice hotel. The kitchens are a nice touch. Beds were comfortable. The location was great. Breakfast was awesome, though I would have liked to have a private area for my group. The wake up calls were not reliable. Only some rooms got them despite giving the front desk a list of rooms needing them.

Aside from some serious cleanliness issues which were immediately attended to, this was a very nice stay. We would stay again. The breakfasts were delicious and is a nice treat. Parking should be included as this is not a cheap stay and 14 extra a day is not warranted. Decor and meals were very nice. Fitness room is needing attention to missing weights but was a great plus. This location is very good!

Great location, rooms very large, have everything you need in room, beds comfortable, breakfast included. They just need a bigger tv in room as room is so large hard to watch tv from the bed. Other than that it was everything we wanted for a hotel to visit DC from.

I enjoyed everything here. Breakfast, the room spaciousness, everything. The only downfall was that the shower curtain smelled like mildew. We asked for another shower curtain and were told that the hotel did not have any more so we had to shower using a sheet on the shower bar while they washed the one from our room. When we returned to our room, there was a new one hanging in our bath. We were told that the house keeping person did not speak English well and did not understand what we need... Read more

A large comfortable room, actual efficiency. Our 7th floor room had an awesome big balcony and nice view of the distant WAshington Monument in the distance. However this was classified as an accessable handicap room...which it wasn't at all. The only thing that made the bathroom special was a vertical grab bar in a perfectly regular tub. If my son had not had un handicap people with him he would have been able to enter the room and access a bed and no more.

Having a dishwasher, dish detergent and other stuff it was helpful. The dinners we ok and are a plus to have food. Breakfast potatoes were good. Mac n Cheese was good. Even though this was a work trip, I was aghast at the prices of hotels in DC. The room I paid $190 for in February was almost $500. So I did my research on Trip Advisor and booked the Clarion. The room was excellent, very large with kitchen facilities. The free breakfast on the 8th floor was very good and welcome. I've never seen a hotel offer a free dinner before. Its available Monday through Wednesday and is advertised as a "small plate". I actually didn't go for the vegetable or meat lasagna ... Read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have encountered with a hotel chain. I am pregnant and we were going to a friends wedding. We booked because of the great feedback on trip advisor as I am a faithful reviewer and reader. We drove up and I was a bit nervous, building was old, looked like un- maintained apartment building with disheveled balconys. Loby was crazy old and not put together as was the lady at the front desk. Our room was not ready so we went to lunch. Returned at 2 and got key. maintenance was at front desk and was mumbling something and used the computer and looked very unappealing. Pushed the eleva... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights recently, big room with a microwave, table, sofa, bed -everything you need. Was very old fashioned and dark in the room. Cleanliness needs to be improved, in the bathroom in particular. Loved the area, some good bars and restaurants and an easy metro ride to the city. The hotel shuttle to the metro stop is pointless in my view -it's only a few minutes walk -would be better using it as an airport shuttle to regan and charging for it if necessary. Read the reviews, which were more positive than not - so I booked a four night stay. I was glad I did, as the location was good, the area safe, and the place was maintained - these are important for me. The rooms were large, with a full sized fridge. The hotel offers a decent free breakfast (but needs more healthier / low calorie options). There is even a free dinner offering 3 nights a week, but I didn't get a chance to get too. We stayed at this hotel for two days, and the accommodations were clean and well appointed. While we did not use the kitchen, it is nice to know that you have a refrigerator, stove, microwave, etc. and can prepare your own meals rather than having to use local restaurants for every occasion. Don't expect the kinds of extras you see in a more expensive hotel, but for the price, we didn't expect them. For example, the TV was relatively small.
