Hotel will have your car towed if you don't hang parking permit on mirror even though they have all your information. Seems like a pattern, look for similar reviews. $145 towing. Staff was unconcerned about complaints. It appears to be a routine event. This is not the way to treat your customers!!!

I stayed here with five of my employees and spent about $2,000 on a business trip . Because of the cheap parking sticker they gave me and the beach humidity it fell off my car was towed even though they had my tag number when I registered at check in. The manager name is Mark and his mother refused to give me any type of conversation and saying well it just happens. I will be back in town this year on business and you can ensure that I will not be staying at the Marjac. By the way I stayed at th... Read more

Booked this place by default as nothing else was available. There were loud parties the entire weekend. The TV remote did not work. Everything is run down. The room doors did not shut securely unless they were slammed shut. Peeling and chipping paint everywhere. If they would invest some money on renovation and not book large groups of college students, it MIGHT be an OK place to stay, but there is no way those suites should cost $200+ per night. Would not recommend.

Stayed one night at this hotel with high school classmates. It was clean and undergoing some renovations to update. Did get a fantastic rate compared to others checking in. Perfect location as all rooms were beach front. With the renovations and updating will be a fine hotel.

We checked in yesterday and we were ready to leave last night. Our room smelled really bad when we first walked in. The walls need a serious paint job, the balcony door is so rusted it wont stay shut unless its locked. The bedroom tv didnt work, wifi isnt working, elevator got stuck between floors last night and is very small. You cant get a luggage cart in it. Our ac stopped working last night . We went to the front desk 3 times last night to complain about all the above but the girl at the... Read more

We booked in advance for this hotel back in July 2015 for Memorial Day Weekend 2016. Paid in full $287.58 for 4 nights. Drove 6hrs to VA Beach to be informed that Marjac cancelled my reservation, as well my in-laws without contacting both of our travel sites or us. Why? Because according to the hotel manager Mark Reyes "that rate was considered too low and we are charging more". I had a crying toddler and an upset wife , all the while worrying what we were going to do since every hotel was booke... Read more

We booked and paid for 5 days in advance. We checked in Sunday 6/5 so excited about our family beach vacation. The hotel was old & rundown but we were okay with that as the price was the lowest on the beach. It's located centrally & has a beautiful view. The first night was fine. The second night as we were getting ready for bed we noticed several suspect dark specks that hadn't been there before. It's a green hotel so they don't change the sheets every day. However I had made the beds that mo... Read more

Staff was not rude but also not approachable. I had to ask for shampoo once and felt awkward doing so. They were friendly checking in and checking out but I never felt like a priority to them. To me, I dont mind that though. I had minimal interaction with them so this did not impact the overall rating. The kitchenette is nice, equipped with dishes and utensils, and was pretty clean. Sadly, this area and the bathroom were the cleanest/best part. Also, the view from the room is pretty good too. ... Read more

This hotel is in total disrepair. Carpet is very dirty. Tile in room and bathroom is extremely dirty. The only thing that looked newer was the furniture and beds. The only plus is that it has a kitchen area and is a fairly large room. But otherwise, this hotel is definitely in need of a major renovation.

I was a little worried about staying because of some of the reviews, but I 'm glad I gave this hotel a chance our room was just what we needed great views my bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Mark the manager was pleasant and was always available if needed. I would stay here again. Thank you to all the housekeepers, they made sure you had what you needed. And a special thanks to Mark. Also location was near all attractions.

Poorly cleaned rooms with dirty sheets, some days no refills on toilet paper even though we were out! Didn't put in new garbage bags or fresh towels. Elevator is faulty and parking is an absolutely nightmare. After complaining about the cleanliness in our room for SEVERAL days.. management came to our room and acted like we were lying! They were so very unprofessional and rude. They do not care AT ALL about their guests. Huge damper on our vacation. Would not recommend. Worst hotel experience of... Read more

Im the kind of person when I go on vacation I just need a place to sleep! It does not have to be fancy at all, but this place was falling apart. The smoke detector in the living room was beeping which they did not have a backup battery for! So the maintenance man unplugged it! We had to wiggle the door knob and slam the balcony door to get it closed. The door to the bathroom kept getting jammed. They only have one TINY elevator maximum capacity of five people for seven floors... almost every tim... Read more

I made a reservation through Hotwire for 5 nights at $285 from 7/3/16 to 7/8/16. I traveled for over 7 hours to get there. When I tried to check in they said they cancelled the reservation and Hotwire was supposed to advise me. Never had a problem with Hotwire before. They said they could give me a room for $1200. Bait and switch. Stay away!!!

I don't know where to start with this place, I guess with the worse. The ac was broken all week. Got worse as the week went on. Any time I asked about it they'd tell me thirty minutes it'll be fixed. Stayed there 6 nights. The last night they finally got the unit running but it still wasn't blowing any air into the room. It was 87 degrees in the room and the only thing they would offer was a fan. And people who was staying on the upper floors said it was hotter there. It was nice and cool in the... Read more

This hotel is between Atlantic Ave and the Boardwalk, in-line with other towering hotels. The parking lot is a joke, so cramped. I had to back up into the street to allow another vehicle out. Maneuvering the passenger van around the corner was an ordeal, and thankfully somebody pulled out of a front entry spot. I parked there and left the vehicle there for our entire stay in order to keep the cherished spot. Understandably, we arrived quite early, so they took our information and would call us w... We stayed here for 5 days the end of last month. We were really looking forward to a well-earned family vacation and I was so disappointed when we arrived to see that the reality didn't match the pictures. I will say the two positive things about this place are that we thought the beds were comfortable and the view of the ocean was spectacular....other than that, there were dirty Q tips on the closet shelf, the door to the balcony was busted, the main burner on the stove didn't work, there were...
