We last stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it was undergoing major renovations to the lobby area. The renovations are a hit - lobby and dining area are very well done. Room was clean upon arrival - no issues with cleanliness. A burned out light bulb over the night stand was promptly replaced upon request. Complimentary wi-fi was great - excellent signal and speed (which was a good thing as I used the wi-fi to watch hockey on my phone - the only sports channel available is ESPN, no FOX... Read more

The hotel seems to have put more money and time into their Lobby than into their rooms. The room we stayed in was extremely too small for it being a two double bed suite. There was barely enough room to move around. Little to no closet space. The window couldn't be opened, and the furniture was broken. The swimming pool is a lot smaller than the picture makes it look like. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great, they had everything from eggs and bacon to a simple b... Friendly staff and very good service. Clean average rooms with all necessary extras. Carpets and furniture a bit dated but adequate. Standard complimentary breakfast and internet was a bit spotty at times.

This property has some age on it but overall the bed was comfortable. Glad it had a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was extremely attentive and professional. The last night of my stay the neighboring room decided to have a party. I had to be up early for my flight home so I called the front desk to ask that they please call my neighbors and ask them to keep it down. They took care of the issue promptly and, when I woke up there was a card under my door from the night auditor extending hi... Read more

Stopped here on our way to Ocean City. The hotel is very convenient to the major interstates and to US 13 the pathway to the bay bridge/tunnel. The room was comfortable and the overall conditions was typical for older Hampton inns. The location is also close to good restaurants. This was our second stay at this property

The hotel was very nice and the staff members were nice and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was nice. They even prepared a breakfast to go for customers. We had a problem with the television and a staff member showed up immediately to fix the problem.

AWESOME STAFF and quiet location. Breakfast was very good and the staff kept all condiments readily available. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to my next trip. They had the best coffee I have had a hotel, and I have stayed in a lot of places over the years.

Hampton Inn was like a home away from home for me and my family. We were in Virginia Beach for an All-American Youth Games. We didn't get a lot of down time because if my sons practices so coming back to a comfortable place was important.

This has become my "go to" hotel when in the area for business. Convenient to NOB Norfolk and Little Creek. Lots of restaurants nearby in the Military Circle area. Rooms are generally clean, but starting to show some age. In particular, the desk chairs don't work very well, and the tv channel selection is lagging behind some other hotels in the area. I've always found the breakfast area well stocked, with enough variety that I can have something different each morning.

Great staff, very welcoming. Superb cleaning services. Overall outstanding stay. Great location near the airport, I-64 and either Norfolk or Va Beach. Would be excellent for a family stay as well. Vanessa on the cleaning staff was the nicest, most empathetic and wonderful staff person there. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed during a week long stay.

Always like staying at Hampton Inns. This was easy to find off the highway and close to the beach. Staff was very friendly and room was clean. The bed was a little hard for a Hamton Inn but no big deal. Will return if in the area again.

This was a small, old Hampton Inn. The rooms are tiny, and so are the bathrooms. Pool was closed, and there wasn't a jacuzzi anyway. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Breakfast was so-so. Most importantly, the air conditioner in the room was only blowing warm air. We sweated our bums off all night. No, it is not my job to inform the hotel about things not working. The maids should check the ac, faucets, and toilet at a minimum while cleaning the room. It only takes about 30 se... Read more

I wasn't impressed with hotel. I paid 300 for 1 night. The hotel lobby was dirty, and just didn't smell clean. Room was super small, however it was clean. We had been at beach all day, just wanted to shower. However, after the first person showered, the sand wouldn't go down the tub. The water pressure was so soft. Came for a family reunion and the hotel was very quiet, staff always had a friendly conversation and a good laugh. Had a slight TV issue and they were Johnny on the spot with a fix that worked. The one thing that concerned me there was several couples who weren't staying at the hotel but wanted to use the pool. They didn't seem to pose a threat but the word spread around the family and we silently kept a watchful eye just in case. The military and law enforcement within us was put on alert. Ende... On our way to OBX, needed a place to sleep. This has the perfect location close to 264 / 64 interstates. Standard Hampton Inn - but bonus for their comfortable beds... Even for a tall guy like me. Room, service etc.. was how you expect it. Breakfast buffet was OK.. It didn't feel quite as fresh or attended to as some Hampton Inn properties... This has been our go-to hotel for many annual trips to the EMS Conference in Waterside Norfolk. Good location, easy access, comfortable rooms, great complimentary breakfast, reasonable room rates. Even when the hurricane knocked things out a few years ago, the Hampton Inn rose to the challenge and maintained a comfortable atmosphere even when electricity was off.
