This hotel is convenient to the airport and there is a van that comes by about every half hour. Its comfortable and quiet but breakfast is not included. Although you can purchase a buffet breakfast. There is a pub next door convenient for lunch and dinner. You can go visit the sites from here but you'll have to plan for the trip to take no less than an hour on the metro after you take the shuttle back to the airport to take the bus to the metro station. Taxi or rental car may take just as long as... Read more

Our stay was niceZ. The room was relatively quiet and it was a nice room. No complaints. The front desk lady was friendly. Our only problem was when we were given our key card and sent on our way to our room. The room was not cleaned....we had to stand outside the room while the maid rushed around to clean our room. She missed some stuff.....we certainly didn't eat popcorn but there was popcorn on the carpet.

This is an excellent hotel with a good location. The rooms are newly redone and a beautiful and roomy. The fitness center and swimming pool are very nice. The onsite restaurant, O'Malley's has very good food and pricing. The staff is exceedingly nice and helpful in anything you need. You should consider staying here.

This is a great hotel to stay at when you have an early morning flight out of Dulles. You can return your car the evening before and their shuttle runs every 1/2 hour from 4AM on. Our room had just been remodeled and was clean and quiet even though it was on the ground floor.

The hotel is OK. I was in the renovated section which, as other people have said, is a maze. The room was nice but the beds had no bed skirt and there was no closet per say, just a area to hang your clothes. One thing I have to mention is when you renovate a room and put a new thermostat in, please don't run a big wire under the carpet, we can feel it when we walk on it. Also it would be nice if you washed the windows when you do a reno. Regarding the rest of the hotel, it's on the dated side. ... Read more

We stayed here for one night. Some of the best customer service I've ever encountered. The hotel is nice and clean. The shuttle runs to the airport starting at 4am. The restaurant was good and also had friendly service. I would absolutely stay here again when flying out of Dulles.

Room was nice as most holiday inns are. Dining and restaurant was very good. I will admit that there was a bus load of kids there touring DC and they were loud and running everywhere. One visit to the front desk fixed that problem. Would go again.

Upon arrival at Dulles on a flight from Zürich we were greeted with the news that our connection to Denver had been cancelled and we would need to stay the night. Unfortunately, every hotel we contacted was booked. Finally, we located a room at the Holiday Inn in Sterling, VA. With very low expectations we grabbed a taxi and headed over ... to find a very pleasant surprise. While the hotel does bring back memories of Holiday Inns of my past, everything was very clean and appeared to be rece... Read more

The Holiday Inn Dulles is pretty much average for a hotel of its class in the area. This is my first time staying here and everything is fine. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The wifi is fast and unremarkable. My only complaint about the room is the loudness of the air con unit. Downside to the hotel is also that they host large bus tours. I suppose the location is convenient to Dulles.

Great people and rooms, very clean and comfortable all around. Check in was quick and easy. It's a very large hotel with restaurant, pub, many banquet rooms, and a gift shop with necessities and snacks. We didn't have a chance to use the pool. My only complaint is that this Holiday Inn didn't include breakfast.

Good experience. Airport was not too large and the lines move fairly smoothly. Very clean, helpful staff, and good location. Paid about 10.00 bucks for lot parkin which is a safe lot. Shuttles run continously.

room was very large, clean and comfortable.staff were pleasant throughout. The attached restaurant bob o's did a great burger but the breakfast was not so good. The location was great for the airport and office but apart from the few surrounding restaurants there was not much to do and they were mostly empty, I guess if there was a show on at the expo center things would be livelier. I would stay again

Wasn't able to check in until 3:45. Hotel was very busy so we were happy to have a room on the second floor away from the lobby and downstairs. Room was clean and (king) bed was comfortable. Shower water pressure was good and nice towels. AC is a little loud but it helped mask any noise coming from the hall and from the outside (room faced the front of the hotel). No restaurants near by so we ate in the pub. Salad was very good but the burger was undercooked (ordered medium well and got medium r... Read more

I am a Director of Sales and Operations Manager for several IHG, Choice Hotel, and Marriott properties so I rarely leave negative reviews - I answer many reviews and understand the damage they can do to the reputation of a property. However, if a situation is not corrected when I bring it to the attention of the Front Desk, I will leave a review. Check in process was standard, basic. I was not informed about any hotel amenities and the front desk agent did not appear to be able to give me di... Read more

I visited this hotel for a wedding and received an unbelievable price for a room. So good that I extended my stay at the same rate until Monday! The hotel is conveniently located close enough to DC that it is well worth it. The amenities were good and the salt water pool and jacuzzi very nice. The room was very nice with many pillows. The restaurant food was good but way overpriced as well as the breakfast buffet for food variety. The staff was very friendly. The wedding food was a buffet, and t... Read more

I recently checked in to this hotel. The facility is very nicely remodeled. There is an well equipped gym (way above average for hotels) and a wonderful pool area. The decor is bright and fresh. But the best part of my stay was the friendly service. Karla at the front desk is amazing. When you check in I hope you are lucky enough to see her. I had some issues with my IHG membership and she handled it all with finesse and efficiency! Rest easy at this wonderful property!

We were in town for a weekend long dart tournament... this is my 9th of 10 years staying on this property over Labor Day weekend. The upgrades they have done are so very impressive. Staff was wonderful as always, but this year the rooms were updated and very nice! The only disappointment the entire weekend was the crab dip at the restaurant. I highly recommend the French onion soup though!

We recently stayed at this hotel before and after our flight. The rooms were clean just kind of on the small side. We used the shuttle to the airport coming and going. We had to wait about an hour at the airport for the shuttle. That was the only complaint I had about this hotel. The shuttle needs to run more often.

The hotel is located very near the airport with a bus shuttle that makes life easy and makes it a perfect place to hang in for the next flight. The lady at the reception was okay. I noticed that some renovation was going on especially as they had new rug in the passage way in the floor I stayed and up into my room. Need to change the carpet in the restaurant and bar area. Looked quite old, dirty and unappealing.

I stayed at the HIE for business and used a free night. The hotel is undergoing renovations. The lobby staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was newly renovated; very nice. Parking was not great; the cargo containers for the workers are taking up several spaces and there were a few large vehicles in the parking lot taking up 5-6 spaces each. Convenient to DC.

There is a lot of renovations going on here. It appeared we got one of the new rooms. It was good size, extremely comfy beds with big pillows, and fluffy towels. Front desk staff check in and check out were very friendly and smiling. We used it as we had a very early flight at dulles. Shuttle on set times (depart hotel every 30 minutes on the half hour 2, 2:30 etc and depart dulles same but 2:15, 2:45 etc.). This is good as you don't need to call. As others have said they are currently renovating this hotel, which is looking nice. There is refreshing iced water available on your arrival & staff were helpful. If our newly decorated room was finished then it needs a visit from the contractors to sort a couple of things out. Towel rack was nearly not on the wall, new tap fitting into the wall was really not secure, windows have gaps in them & I think smoking area may have been below because every so often I could smell cigarettes. I recently stayed here for a conference. I understand that when conferences are occuring, hotels get busy. I arrived at 3:20 pm (check in time was listed as 3 pm, and when I confirmed my reservation, I requested early check in, thinking we would be there before hand), and attempted to check in. I was told they were unsure if my room was clean, and they would call to find out. This is not a problem. I stepped aside and waited. And waited. I visited Washington D.C. in October 2016. I stayed at the Holiday Inn for 3 nights, and was pleased with it. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was of decent size and had a bathtub. From the airport, a hotel shuttle bus drove us to the hotel. However, the food options were poor. The hotel has a restaurant, but it doesn't have a great selection of breakfast. Outside of the hotel there is a FoodMart, but it didn't have any "real" food. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday ... Read more
