When on a long road trip, I don't need a fancy hotel, but I do appreciate one that's easy to find off of the Interstate, has a decent breakfast, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The Best Western has all this and the friendliest front desk staff I've encountered in years. Is it a Virginia thing? I don't know, but it was an easy place to spend the night, and I can recommend it.

Great stay. Rates were higher because of graduation weekend is the only complaint. Breakfast was OK- continental. Coffee was good. Staff very friendly. Has pool, very clean. Close to US 81 and US 64 is a plus.

Very clean and up to date. Helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. Desk clerk recommended a restaurant nearby that we could walk to for dinner, and it was a wonderful experience. Can not overstate the delightful stay in this hotel.

This was the best price in Staunton for a hotel with pool. We stayed on the railroad side of the hotel, but it was not a problem at all. The trains did not whistle as they went by, there were very few of them and did not wake us up. Also the view was better on that side-the woods versus the parking lot.

We have stayed numerous times at this lovely hotel and are never disappointed. The most recent stay was this past weekend. The rooms are always clean, the staff are always friendly (particularly Susan on this visit), and the breakfast bar is exceptional. We hope to continue to frequent the Best Western because it is THE BEST!

We were just passing through on our two week road trip and booked this room through Trip Advisor and what a gem. We enjoyed our stay. Nice, clean, quite room and an amazing complimentary breakfast. Courteous friendly staff. Would highly recommend and return if I passed that way again!

The Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean. No dog fee was great, and there was adequate grass area for walking.. Nice parks and beautiful mountain experiences nearby. The continental breakfast was good and there were plenty of dining options close by, including Cracker Barrel--always great.. We'll stay here again.

This particular Best Western hotel has been very accommodating with special needs my husband and I have. They have been able to provide us with a handicapped room and a recliner on each stay. The breakfast choices are varied enough to suit our needs as well.

Our experience with the Best Western Staunton Inn in Staunton, VA has been very good. My husband and I have been coming here several times a year on our vacations. It is a fun area to visit and a good hotel to stay in. Breakfast is very good. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is kind and friendly. We love it here!

The first thing we noticed was the big smile on Patsy's face to greet us. She looked after our check in as we were earlier than the stated 3pm time. She had rooms cleaned for us and offered to store our bags so we could continue riding our bikes. The rooms are a bit dated but they they were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was decent but lacked hot eggs and breakfast meats. They did have waffle makers and a really nice selection of fruits. Would stay here again.

Our room was and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. One side of the hotel is next to a railroad track, and our room was on that side, but if trains came through during the night we did not hear them. The hotel is also next to Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant, which is convenient. There are several touches that make the hotel a pleasant and welcome place--from the sculptures outside and in the lobby to the little rubber duck on the bathtub. We would stay he... Read more

We stayed here one night on a week long motorcycle trip. The staff was most helpful even offering to let us park the bikes under the drive up overhang. There was also a bike wash station. The room was wonderful and the wifi was fast enough for everything we needed. And the breakfast that was included good. We certainly enjoyed our stay there in all ways.

We came to visit the Appalachian Trail through the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Shenandoah National Park. Our reservation said our room faced the train tracks but it was never a problem. The staff, both front desk and housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. I will stay there again the next time I visit the area.

A very pleasant stay with great extra touches like plenty of luggage holders, towels, fresh berries & both local + USA Today newspapers. Just off exit 222 I-81 wirh comfortable beds & some updating. A train was heard once in the night, but not bothersome. A good deal through Hotwire at $72 Inc tax. Would definitely recommend.

The staff at the Staunton Best Western is excellent and the Inn is pet friendly. The breakfast meal provides variety and the dining area is clean and well maintained. Families enjoy the pool and parking is plentiful and convenient. Mrs. Rowe's country restaurant is right next door and offers home-cooked meals and scrumptious home-made desserts, all at a reasonable price. The wait staff there is very friendly and helpful. I'd rather give a 3.5 than a straight 3 rating for this hotel if I could. The room was nice and clean, the a/c worked very well, in fact we had to turn it off for a few hours at one point. The rubber duckie in the bathroom was a cute touch that won the 7 year old over lol. Our room faced the train tracks, we had at least 2 trains go through while we were there but we barely heard a thing. Definitely wouldn't have been loud enough to wake me up if I were asleep, and I am a light sleeper. The clos... Read more

This stop was a pass thru for my husband and I. The hotel is close to a major highway , but not so close as to be noisy. The rooms are clean and well lit, and the bathroom has tub and shower with decent water pressure for showering. The only draw back was th bed could have been more comfortable. It was a bit lumpy and too soft with 3 small squarish pillows. Breakfast in the morning is a nice touch, and all staff we interacted with were very friendly.

We arrived without reservations, but they had rooms and we checked in. The front desk folks were friendly and quick to get us set up with rooms. I loved that they welcomed us with a bottle of water. A nice extra touch! The rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds of good quality. They added a little rubber duck in the bathroom with a note that said take me home with you. Again just a little touch that added to the experience. They offer fresh coffee for free 24 hours a day..... Read more

BEST WESTERN always our first pick. I am a regular of Trip Advisor and am usually in agreement with the reviews. This is the exception. If you are used to staying at Motel 6 or Days Inn, this hotel will meet your qualifications. Trip Advisor rated this at #3 in the area, not for me. The exterior and lobby were fine and the breakfast was OK, the berries were a nice addition; but our room was not worth the $97.00 we paid for it. Sheets were paper thin, furniture old and the chairs were stained. Bathroom not clean, faucets were... Read more

Everything was very good, one of the beloved budget hotel chains while staying in US, especially when comparing with some other hotels. The service was very nice, some improvement could be made as to breakfast in terms of making it more "vegetable-friendly", but in general it is a very good hotel that is worth staying at!

every thing was perfect for a one night stay. Amenities were plentiful. service staff were pleasant and helpful. Location convenient to I-81. Even the water bottle was a nice gesture. Also a nice choice of restaurants were available. Steak house and Cracker barrel were within a very short distance. Also an old established restaurant was next door. A few of the guests recommended this restaurant but we were exhausted and just wanted something light to eat so we opted for Cracker Barrel.

We stayed here as we started off our vacation. This is nice hotel with a friendly staff. Convenient to Staunton, Shenandoah NP, the interstate and dining. The hotel room was nice, good bed and good internet service. The hotel is next to a nice restaurant though we did not eat there. The town is nearby and easy to get to. Overall a pleasant experience and good stop for the night. The breakfast buffet is adequate to get you started.

Susan gave wrong address to motel and didn't ask on what interstate we were traveling on to get there. Patsy was very helpful! Their parking lot is very, very small and not ample for trailers or RV's. Our room was very outdated, bathtub plumbing pipes knocked when turned on (as well as 2nd floor room), our room on railroad track side which is very close to motel. The train ran twice during the late hours of the night. The breakfast bar serving area is very small as well as the swimming pool. I... Read more

My wife and I were trying to make it to Philadelphia driving up from Atlanta but due to horrendous traffic on I-81 NB, we had to find a hotel that accepts pets at the last minute. We lucked out at this BW given it was close to midnight and turned out to be almost full. Susan at front desk welcomed us. All the staff we met that night and next day were very friendly and we enjoyed a good night's rest. Room was clean and while bed was a bit soft for us, it served the purpose quite well. Kudos ... I will say up front, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and easily accessed off I-81, but if you stay, be aware there is an active railroad within 100 feet of the rear of the hotel. Three trains passed during the night, and they were very noisy. Fortunately there was no crossing nearby, so the trains didn't blow a horn as they passed. Again, I would say if you stay here, ask for a room away from the tracks.

This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were nice and clean. Rooms have a table and an easy chair so there's not really a good work station if you have some stuff you need to get done. Very close to a great steakhouse and Cracker Barrel.
