When on a long road trip, I don't need a fancy hotel, but I do appreciate one that's easy to find off of the Interstate, has a decent breakfast, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The Best Western has all this and the friendliest front desk staff I've encountered in years. Is it a Virginia thing? I don't know, but it was an easy place to spend the night, and I can recommend it.

Great stay. Rates were higher because of graduation weekend is the only complaint. Breakfast was OK- continental. Coffee was good. Staff very friendly. Has pool, very clean. Close to US 81 and US 64 is a plus.

This was the best price in Staunton for a hotel with pool. We stayed on the railroad side of the hotel, but it was not a problem at all. The trains did not whistle as they went by, there were very few of them and did not wake us up. Also the view was better on that side-the woods versus the parking lot.

We have stayed numerous times at this lovely hotel and are never disappointed. The most recent stay was this past weekend. The rooms are always clean, the staff are always friendly (particularly Susan on this visit), and the breakfast bar is exceptional. We hope to continue to frequent the Best Western because it is THE BEST!

The Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean. No dog fee was great, and there was adequate grass area for walking.. Nice parks and beautiful mountain experiences nearby. The continental breakfast was good and there were plenty of dining options close by, including Cracker Barrel--always great.. We'll stay here again.

The first thing we noticed was the big smile on Patsy's face to greet us. She looked after our check in as we were earlier than the stated 3pm time. She had rooms cleaned for us and offered to store our bags so we could continue riding our bikes. The rooms are a bit dated but they they were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was decent but lacked hot eggs and breakfast meats. They did have waffle makers and a really nice selection of fruits. Would stay here again.

This stop was a pass thru for my husband and I. The hotel is close to a major highway , but not so close as to be noisy. The rooms are clean and well lit, and the bathroom has tub and shower with decent water pressure for showering. The only draw back was th bed could have been more comfortable. I will say up front, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and easily accessed off I-81, but if you stay, be aware there is an active railroad within 100 feet of the rear of the hotel. Three trains passed during the night, and they were very noisy. Fortunately there was no crossing nearby, so the trains didn't blow a horn as they passed. Again, I would say if you stay here, ask for a room away from the tracks.

We stay here about once a year or so. Made reservations yesterday. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Front desk people are very friendly and very nice. Just so you know: the bottom floor is literally 20 feet from a train track. No horns blow but you may hear it at night. Ask for upper floor. We normally do and never hear the train. First floor take your chances. Had we more time to reserve we ask for upper floors! But the hotel,is very nice

This facility was well maintained and the staff was polite, professional and helpful. There were a variety of items for breakfast and everything was fresh. Breakfast attendant was quick to clear and wipe down tables and made sure all selections were replenished.

A quick stop for us and a few other crazy Spartan racers tackling Wintergreen in September. Conveniently located with several dining options nearby. Rooms and hotel in general were impressively clean. Having a fridge and microwave were awesome for that 4am meal prep that comes with running early in the morning. As a bonus, I did find a left-behind omelet thing in the microwave. It may have had onions in it, but I couldn't get anyone to try it to be sure. haha Very friendly staff for a reasonable... I am so pleased with staying at the Staunton, VA Best Western Hotel. The staff, offerings and rooms are always a five star hotel in my opinion. The price for a room has always been competitive and I always use Best Western Hotels when I have a choice. Thank you.

Great service, very clean and easy on and off the interstate. Stayed here before, will come back when in the area. Loved the little yellow duck in the bathroom. They are pet friendly and made us feel very welcome. A very good restaurant was next door, did not have to drive to get dinner.

I made a reservation while going on our trip to Georgia. We were very happy with the service this hotel provided. The staff members are very helpful and welcoming. The room was a good size and equipped with a refrigerator and microwave as well as a safe. Instead of having just one comfortable chair to sit in, there were two! The beds and bedding were comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was the usual for this type of hotel, but there were a wide variety of choices. The staff in t... Read more

We as HOG members stayed at this hotel. Front desk fast and efficient and pleasant. Clean comfortable rooms at a decent price. Great rebate for HOG members and CAA members. Make sure to ask for a room on the side that the train does not pass. Steakhouse just next door which was also pleasant and in walking distance.

This was a Very Old Hotel and Really Dirty! There was a very Musty Odor! Honestly, it was Really Bad! Being Newer is not my first criteria, but being Clean Is! Don't stay here! And what they say in the reviews is true about being next to railroad tracks with trains in the night and you have to sign when you check in that you know about that!

We stopped here on our way home from Myrtle Beach. Close to I81 so convenient for getting back on the highway in the morning. The rooms are a little small but okay for an overnight. The beds are comfortable and the room was spotless. Nice staff. There is a rail line that runs behind the hotel and the staff explain that if you are getting a room on that side of the hotel. We only had 1 train run by and that was early in the evening so we did not get disturbed. Breakfast was very nice howev... Read more

This hotel is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly. I was especially impressed with the breakfast--fresh berries, grapes, and cheese cubes were avsilable. And coconut for my oatmeal!

Bed was comfortable and clean as was the room. However, furniture was from the 60's which I did not expect considering how much this room cost. Looked like the door lock was replaced but still needing to be finished.

First let me say that the staff was very friendly and the location is convenient to 81. One of my traveling companions also enjoyed the pool after a day of hiking. However for the price it really needs a major update! The room smelled old, rug was bumpy in spots, furniture chipped, and the one chair was a old recliner which I really didn't want to sit in. I didn't know about the train at 10:30 PM and had to get up to unplug the fridge because of the noise it gave off. The hair dryer kept over he... Read more
