The room was decent. The service at their bar was terrible. We were there on a Sunday night and it was very apparent that they didn't want us there. It was around 10:15 and the bartender decided to cut us off because he didn't want us there anymore because they closed at 10:30. We were laughing and joking with him and having a great time until it got to 15 minutes before they closed and then it was like a lite switch and then he said he couldn't serve us anymore. We had two drinks there after... Read more

We were traveling with a group of girls for a basketball tournament and when we arrived we were told that the pool was down and would not be available all weekend. We also found out that the pool had been broken since Wednesday and we arrived on Friday. No one called the group to let us know about this problem. We were planning a pizza party and evening swimming for the girls before the games on Saturday. The pool and pool area were very important to our stay and we would have made other arr... Read more

My family had a birthday party at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was decorated and looked wonderful. The food was very good and enjoyed by everyone. We were able to get a reduced rate for guests staying in the hotel to attend the party. The rooms were large and very neat and clean. All the amenities you needed were right there in the room. I'm very fussy about my mattress when I'm away, and I must say I slept like a baby on the nice firm bed. My room ov... Read more

Just stayed one night on our way to another city. The bed was wonderful and I slept so great I am going to get one of those mattresses. Dinner was well prepared and tasted yummy. I would recommend this place and I will stay there again. Patricia C. Reading PA

Great hotel, good location. Well appointed rooms, great restaurant. We were there for a Shriner convention, and the hotel staff were very accomodating. The only downside was that there was a youth soccer tournament in Roanoke the same weekend and the family with children right beside our room were very noisy well into the night. The staff tried to get them to stop running around the halls yelling and screaming, but as soon as the staff would leave, the kids would start up again. Not the hotel's ... Read more

Our 1 night stay was excellent. We checked in very late due to a traffic delay. The front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast is served in the lobby starting at 7am and is free for kids! The room was equipped with a fridge and microwave, great for a small family.

My stay at this Holiday Inn was just what I needed after a long day on the road from Knoxville, TN with a big crew. The hospitality was spot on, even with our 12am check-in the front desk was extremely kind and courteous. We were very pleased and comfortable in our rooms and felt safe given the location of the hotel. Even with a busy night there we were not disturbed by any noise which is always night to go without earplugs for a change. Once day broke we were able to see all of what they had t... Read more

Location: near a gas station, easy access to interstate, the airport, and the mall with lots of restaurants and movie theatre. Target, Walmart, Sams, Ross - they are all nearby. When you drive in on the road, the Holiday entrance sign is small, keep looking the entrance is near the end of the road after the other hotels. Rooms: we had two rooms (one was a suite and the other two beds) across the hall from one another, near an exit door, and by the washer / dryer room. Perfect location as we ne... Read more

We booked lodging for the last week in June and waited until late afternoon traveling to find a location. IHG found us a room here which is near I-81. This was our first trip into this Roanoke exit and we discovered that most of the traffic into Roanoke goes into this exit and then is guided onto other highways. This hotel was reminiscent of the styles I remember of older Holiday Inn Hotels. When we arrived several tour buses had already checked in and had dinner at the hotel buffet. Ou... Read more

For $65/night, I didn't expect much, BUT I never expect to have charges I didn't make on my credit card 3 nights after I checked out. I saw them pending when I was checking out and they said to contact them if they went through. Sure enough they did, and the front desk said it would "take a few days" to get back to me about it; they never did. Since I stay in a lot of hotels, I usually the small stuff go, but one worker at the front desk really irked me: On a Sunday morning, I realized there we... Read more

This made for a bad day. The room was not ready in the early afternoon they were not happy we had a pet and the room smelled like urine as well as dirty then notice all locks coming into the sides of the hotel were not secured and the pool area was very dirty. I had to use a travel Lysol just to get rid of the smell and the pool was very dirty I picked up a umbrella and it had cobwebs on it and the pool had bird feathers in it. The food was good but the hotel was very dirty. The clerk was un... Read more

Very friendly staff but the hotel is very outdated. Popcorn ceiling and all. Don't know how it still carries the Holiday Inn name. The hotel needs a lot of updating. How is the hotel able to carry the Holiday Inn name? I thought there were standards to carry that name. The towels are like sandpaper so brine your own if you plan on staying

I selected this hotel due to its easy access off the freeway and proximity to shops and restaurants. We arrived just in time to get in a swim and brief soak in the hot tub which was very welcome after traveling all day. The smell of chlorine upon entry was a bit off putting, but due to the architecture of the structure it was unavoidable. At least we did not notice the odor in our room. Our breakfast was not included in the price but the hotel is adjacent to a shopping center and there is a mal... Read more

This host hotel served its purpose. We were able to enjoy family without moving to other locations. accommodations were great, the ballroom was used as our meet and greet and family banquet. We catered the event and everything went off without a hitch! The staff was friendly and responsive to all of our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

I used point and we were enroute to Ashville with our dogs. Not dog unfriendly but not dog friendly really. We sat at the pool briefly (without dogs) and got in but the sun was very hot and there was no shade there. THe hotel does smell like chlorine bec. the pool is sort of indoors near the entrance. THe room is OK. The toilet is running but I did not call to have it repaired bec. of the dogs in the room and the rookus that would entail. I would not spend more than 80 on this room, breakf... Fantastic place, fantastic people, high quality everything. Rooms were great, the entire place was clean, the meals were awesome. The little extras that the hotel provided were appreciated and we were made to feel like family. When they say they hope we come back you could tell they mean it.

First let me say...I stay at Holiday Inns quite frequently and I'm sad to write this review but this was my worst experience at a Holiday Inn! The room had mystery stains on the walls and the floors in the bathroom. Gross! But as I tried to overlook the stains...I couldn't overlook what happened in the middle of the night! The AC unit started making noises and smoking!!! I quickly got up and turned off the unit but strangely it still made noises! I eventually called the front desk around 4am... Read more

This place must have been super nice when it was first built. However, it is evident when you walk in to a room that this hotel is in need of renovations. I don't know if there was bad plumbing on the first floor or what, but it stunk so bad in our room from the moment we walked in. This place could use some TLC.

Found this hotel as I was looking for a smoker friendly property. It seemed a bit high in price but I am willing to pay for quality. We were pleasantly surprised! Hard to judge by online pictures but we really liked this hotel. Only reason i didn't give it an excellent rating was because the bathroom was in need of a remodel. Overall, good quality and a convenient location right off the highway and close to downtown.

The walls here are paper thin! And groups of people congregated in the hallway. Very noisy. But my stomach turned when i saw the filthy dirty ring in the toilet. It was dirty like a gas station bathroom. Peeling wallpaper and noplace t to charge devices. Nowhere to plug in the coffee maker. This place needs an updAte and new cleaning staff.

For over $150 a night, we've come to expect something besides an aged dark and dank place to call home for one night. Tried to "dine" at the dinner buffet at around 6pm. There wasn't a single soul in the room and it appeared many food areas were empty. We left. The room has two double beds and breakfast is NOT INCLUDED. You would think Holiday Inn would try to give customers something to head off competition. Just checked the internet rate for tonight. Oh. $117. We feel taken.

Stayed here on a road trip from CT to TX. Very happy that the hotel is right off the main highway. Checked in and the woman at the desk was super nice. Booked two rooms and they were adjoining even though the hotel was booked. So that was great. Rooms were average. Nothing crazy. Sheets were pilled from over washing. Had to kick the AC a few time since it rattled. Other than that the room was clean ( checked the bed for bed bugs or signs of them and found nothing ) and that's all I aim for. This... Read more

My husband, best friend and I went to view the fall colors and choose this hotel. The location was good, rooms were clean and roomy though the beds were small. There is also a bar / restaurant on property. The breakfast buffet ($10.95) was pretty bad. None of us ordered from the food menu at night, just cocktails that were average. Service by the wait was terrible but the bartender stepped in and saved the day. Over all a decent experience for one night.

I chose this hotel for the location as it was close to a Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. Our room was nice with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. It's on a major road, so it was a little noisy, but not really bad. The breakfast was extra and not worth the money. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to grab a breakfast.
