I stay here frequently on business and it has become my home away from home. The best thing about this place is the people. They are super friendly, kind, and helpful. Everyone is always very pleasant when I see them and they even remember my name. I eat breakfast here every single morning and those guys are absolutely wonderful. I watch them and it's not just me/ They are good with everyone that comes in. And I night I will sometimes hit the in house restaurant/lounge...The Elephant Walk....the ... Read more

I travel a lot and it always aggravates me when I'm expecting the hotel to live up to their advertising and it doesn't. OKAY is my rating. I walked into my room and the one lampshade was crooked. I went to turn it on and I moved the shade and I was greeted with dust flying all over that was on the shade. Then I got aggravated because I want to SEE while in my room. I have every single light on in this room and it's still not bright enough. All the lamps have mismatched compact florescent b... Read more

I actually did not want to like this hotel as it wasn't my first choice but I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was well put together, the room was quiet and clean and the staff was polite and helpful.

I have so few complaints about this place. It looks and smells clean, the staff members are SUPER friendly, and the rooms are quality. The breakfast buffet is overpriced for what it is, but it's not terrible. The guy who was waiting tables was WONDERFUL at his job. Overall this is the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. Well worth the money in my opinion!

Overnight stay - comfortable hotel with spacious room - free wifi available in the lobby but not the rooms. Apparently the hotel had a guest laundry facility but I did not know this and missed out! Nice restaurant with great customer service.

We arrived just before 1:00 a.m. exhausted from traveling fourteen hours Sunday. The front desk staff was wide awake, cheerful, and ready to help. We'd reserved a room a few hours prior, so everything was in order upon our arrival. The location is literally two minutes from Highway 220, which made a perfect pit stop for us while traveling south. The lobby is bright and clean, with a funky waterfall and comfy chairs if you have time to enjoy a coffee by the fireplace. Our non-smoking room was l... Read more

We were on the top floor and yes, the view was nice and so was housekeeping. We were supposed to get wifi and it was not working. And what do the guys from Front Desk do, they send housekeeping. That's what I call passing the bug. Poor women was totally overwhelmed with the task. Then another guy comes, who couldn't get out fast enough. Leaving us standing there with nothing but the typical responds of "it must be your equipment". Of course, it must be, after the 8th stay in a Holiday Inn. The... Read more

We had a nice, clean room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went to the Elephant Bar and had a delicious Mudslide drink which was a nice end to our day touring the area. They do not include a complimentary breakfast but do provide a buffet for $9.95 a person.

We had a well-appointed room, spacious, but the lighting was not great. There was a worker, Leo, who was cleaning the room next to ours when we arrived and he immediately came out to welcome us and helped unload our cart. He was very friendly. I have two "problems" which kept me from giving this hotel 5 stars. One: if you are like me, you expect a Holiday Inn to provide a free breakfast. This one DOES NOT. There is an adjacent restaurant where you can get a breakfast buffet for $9.99. We pass... Read more

We had to stay here for a wedding and didn't mind it at all. They allowed our dog to stay for only 35$ total. Room was spotless and great service. They had a nice outdoor pool as well. The hotel is near some good stores and restaurants as well. Decent price too.

Internet connection was good which is important traveling for business. Staff was very nice. However, the rugs in the hallways were dirty and there was a bit of an odor overall. The room itself was clean and updated. The bathroom was good as well. Had a microwave and a fridge. Had more of a table than a desk but it was better as it's easier to move and watch TV while working. I'd stay again traveling for business but wouldn't bring the family here while on vacation.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have fridge and microwave. Lobby was attractive. My daughter went to get ice and had to walk down another hall, which she said smelled of smoke. I was under the impression the whole hotel was smoke-free so that was surprising. Overall a good place for a fair price. Very friendly staff at front desk.

There was an accident on the highway on a Sunday and it which took me an extra 2 hours to arrive at the hotel. I was tired and a little cranky and not in the mood for waiting. From the moment I arrived Mihir greeted me with a cordial smile. He was flexible and accommodating with which room I wanted. The next morning he saw me, asked if my room was comfortable and greeted me with that same smile and lifted my spirits. He is an example of what customer service truly means.

My sister and I needed together time and just to get away from the rest of it all. We found the perfect place. The staff was delightful, the hotel within walking distance of multiple eateries and the Tanglewwod Mall. They called us a taxi to get to Roanoke City Center, and so much more. The beds make me want to buy a new one for home. Bed is not the right word ... nest is better. Curl up and float to sleep. We did not eat at the Elephant Walk, we weren't there when hungry. Lovely hotel, would of liked to of stayed longer

Hotel was selected because it was dog friendly. It's starting to show its age; cracked grout in bathroom and a few stains on the sofa. Breakfast was not included despite $200 rate but it's very close to restaurants and a Food Lion. Didn't use the pool.

Checked in to this hotel because they take dogs. The hotel definitely needs some work. Dated furniture in room, although perhaps I got a room assigned for people with pets. All in all , just ok. Expensive for value. Picture on website misleading appearing to be in the country with views of the mountains. Not so, hotel located in mass suburbia.

I needed to stay over night in Roanoke to meet some customers the next day. When I walked into my room one of the first things I noticed that wasn't right was toothpaste on the sink. This was not a tube, it was where it had drained off someone's toothbrush. It was challenging to control the temperature also. The good part was there was plenty of parking. There were several other cleanliness issues in the room as well.

We had a very relaxing stay here for a couple of days. Jamie and Art were great and had plenty of recommendations for us. The hotel has all the amenities, and the pool was nice. The only thing that drove us crazy was the WiFi, which went out enough to justify us going to buy an LTE pack at Best Buy.
