We stayed in this hotel one night for the Nascar race in Richmond VA. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. however it was the staff that really made our stay enjoyable. The front desk receptionist ( LeCharn ) couldnt have been nicer and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was also very good thanks to ( Seme ) he made sure everything was hot and full. He also made sure to stop at every table to ask if we needed anything else and where we were from. It's obviou... Read more

I chose this hotel for the weekend to be close to the Richmond International Speedway! It was 20 minutes away and definitely worth it. The room was very nice and having the Cracker Barrel right in the parking lot was an added bonus. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only negative, at check-in and check-out, there is usually only one person working the desk. In both instances we had to wait a bit.

My husband and I stayed 1 night on our way down to South Carolina. The hotel was decent. The staff is friendly. The room was clean and a nice size. The bed was not comfortable at all.. it was hard, the pillows too soft, and the blankets were thin. Otherwise we were happy with our stay. We did not use the pool area or have breakfast because both were crowded. There are a lot of great restaurants close to the hotel which was a plus!

Compliments to all the staff. Always a pleasure and very clean! Fairly convenient to nearby college. Agree with another reviewer that the sheets are a bit thin, otherwise we are very happy. Great for short stay.

I just hope the job I'm working on is extended because the hospitality I have been afforded has made being a away from home three weeks a month to work seem like vacationing.. Danielle, Tarrah, Allysa, and the rest of the staff have made it to my Christmas card list ... I haven't had many of any concerns, but when I have the expedience of response made me double check my I.D. to see if it read presidential or aristocrat ... I feel special in this environment... Less of a guest and more of a mi... Read more

As the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding, I planned a weekend in Richmond for all the girls. We chose Springhill suites and it suited us well. The room was clean and spacious. The location was great for accessing nearby attractions. Parking was free. Breakfast was not only free, but delicious. The pool and hot tub were vacant so we got to spend time there as well. Overall, a great impression... nothing too fancy, but it was just what we needed.

My husband and I stayed here for our 29th wedding anniversary weekend. At the last minute, my husband was called to work and we had to drive separately. Was hoping that we could ride together, but that would have called for me checking in at 5:30AM and according to the front desk, the hotel was booked - there were no available rooms at that time. That was disappointing. But... I was able to check in a few hours earlier than established and the room was nice - clean, up-to-date, roomy, comfor... Read more

We recently spent the night at the hotel- two of us took the train from DC to the nearby station, and two drove up from NC. What a joy! The room was clean, space very well utilized so that every nook and cranny had a thoughtful purpose. My six year old went to sleep while in the other half of the room we were able to catch up and chat without waking him. Bonus- wifi and tv worked as promised- and the breakfast buffet was generous. All in all, the hotel staff was very courteous and helpful as ... Read more

I arrived an hour after power was restored post-tornado and 4 day power outage. I spoke with folks and learned that the staff brought food in for guests, provided lights and extra assistance at a time when other area hotels closed. Having missed that, I found a staff that was amazingly friendly and helpful, despite what must have been some long days. A smile and warm welcome greeted me every time I entered. Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. Special recognition for Tarrah and Lashaunda... Read more

After just arriving after driving for 3 hours from Danville Va, I checked into my hotel and found everything as always very inviting from any Marriott property that I have had the pleasure of staying in. I had been there no more than an hour and my housesitter calls and tells me that a pipe at the corner of the house is spurting water into the air, and since she is calling on her cell phone, I can hear it! I panic, and think that I have to get back in the car and drive back to Danville. I try... Read more

From the first interaction the experience was great. This was a girls weekend trip and with entering into the hotel we was greeted and felt welcome. The hotel was very clean and comfortable as our room as well. The free breakfast was delicious. I usually take pictures but we stopped to Coopers Hawk first so that's all I have to say(try this spot-wine tastingš???).It's in a quiet spot and very safe. Housekeeping makes or breaks a place and enjoyment within the hotel. This will be our spot from now ... Read more

I checked in for a work related stay. This is one Marriott property that I have to say that went above and beyond. From the time that I checked in. My family came to spend a night with me and the front desk made sure I had a portacrib set up in my room. They made sure all needs were met. Even the maintenance man took a toy I left in my car to my room. We went to the pool and usually there is always a extra chlorine smell not at this one and the area was clean and maintained. The food was delicio... Read more

We were excited to stay here as it is a newer hotel and were not disappointed to find it clean and free from wear and tear. The double suite was great for a family of 5 with 2 teens. Breakfast however was lackluster at best. There were no pancakes or waffles (which my kids always look forward to in hotels), the toaster was 1/2 broken, and the eggs didn't taste like anything. The rate was fair however, and this left us feeling free to stop at Starbucks across the street to supplement our morni... Read more

We stayed here while in Richmond on a weekend to visit family. On first glance the room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa was large and clean. The staff had already placed a pack and play in the room which was nice especially since we arrived late. However, we were extremely disappointed the moment we lay down in bed. Both mattresses were covered in thin, flimsy and VERY noises plastic bag coverings. See the picture below, but you will notice that this is not any good quality mattress cov... Read more

Overall, this was a fine hotel. It was clean, close to restaurants, had the average hot breakfast, average pool and hot tub, and this hotel was quiet. There were not many guests during our stay, nor were there many staff members. For example, when we arrived, there was a note at the front desk letting us know that the staff would be back momentarily. When our room did not have linens for the sofa bed, they told us to come down to get them rather than having them sent to us. Not a big deal - and ... Read more

Very clean and well-maintained hotel. Complimentary breakfast (although they offered fewer options compared to some Spring Hill Suites or Fairfield Inns) and very small indoor pool, although for the price it was okay.

Booked 5 rooms for the memorial service for my Mom. I worked with Amanda and she was amazing! Helpful and kind. Great front desk staff and night manager. I don't have his name but the individual who was working in the kitchen area where we had an impromptu dinner was lovely on 8/5. I would stay here again. Our friends and family came from D.C. and Atlanta and felt the same. Clean and nice rooms. Well done!

We stayed here recently for an overnight visit. I like the Springhill Suite brand so I chose this location. It's consistent with the others I've stayed at clean lobby, good reception from the front desk, clean room, comfy bed and the hotel wifi is always strong. Of course the breakfast was good also. We had our in room microwave stop working and a call to the front desk got the representative up to our room in a couple of minutes with a replacement microwave. We were able to finish heating our it... Read more

This hotel is located in a quiet business area with a Cracker Barrel right next door. Recently we have stayed away from the Marriott brand as we have found them more run down and dirty then not. I booked this one only after looking at photos and reading others reviews. It has been refreshed, nice color theme and comfortable furnishings. The hotel was pretty clean but just did not have that clean fresh smell. The room was comfortable for a family of five but wish the beds were queen size not ... Read more
