I needed to get an early check in and thankfully it worked out. Maid service was great. Breakfast was fine. A definite value for the dollars spent. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel for anyone.

My trip to Richmond was enjoyable because I had a place to stay that was safe and welcoming - Hampton Inn. I had the convenience of having a microwave oven and refrigerator in my room, as well as a TV. The best part of my stay is that I was welcomed by a staff member who remembered me from a previous visit. I also like the quick check-in that you have when you are an Honors Member. I have also stayed at the Hampton Inn in Danville and received the same welcome.

Hotels offerings in Chesterfield are sparse and this rated better than the others. Overall, it made for a good stay with just a couple of issues. The décor of the rooms and the common areas are dated. It could use a facelift. However, the beds were comfortable and they have DirectTV in the rooms. The room was also very quiet with hardly any noise from the parking lot, hallway or other rooms. The water pressure was poor but the tub did drain. The place was clean but we saw occasional ants... I've been here twice over the years - once many years ago and once recently. I wish I could give a 3 1/2 review. While nothing major went "wrong," I never felt quite comfortable here for a plethora of small reasons. Pros: -We were given an early check in for which we were very grateful. -Although outdated, the rooms were clean. -24 hour coffee in lobby. -Indoor pool, if you're into that. -Fitness/Buisness center -Neutrogena bathroom amenities. -Free breakfast, which tastes exactly how it ... I stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend, and found several annoyances that I did not expect to deal with at this level of motel. First off, I found that my room had not been adequately cleaned; the desk was covered in what appeared to be chocolate cake crumbs. Nothing was done about this. No ice was available from any ice machines during daytime hours. A group of teenagers kept emptying them, and so none was available for other guests. The only offered solution was a shrug and a sheepish ... Read more

Great location with many restaurants nearby, Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical of "free breakfast" style. All in all, I would stay here again if ever in the Richmond area. Only 3 hours to the OBX which was our second destination.

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel which is tucked off the main road. We have had our share of hotels in Richmond for sports tournaments and this one set the bar high. It is by no means big but everything is perfectly clean and tidy. The crew at the front desk were so much fun! They were so nice to our daughters and made our stay extra special. I am not sure where they get their energy because at midnight they were still incredibly nice.

Hotel was just ok. Needs a bit of updating and rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Didn't like the location either- tucked back in a weird area off the street. Usually very happy with Hampton inns, but this one fell a bit short. Will skip this one next time we are in the area.

My daughter reserved a block of rooms for out of town wedding guests. Although she looked at several hotels in the area, she chose this one based on the great reputation of Hampton Inn, the pleasant experience with the manager, Crystal, and the free breakfast. Unfortunately, in the days following the wedding we found out that our guests weren't treated with the Southern hospitality that is typically found in the Richmond area. We had left 10 gift bags (one for each room) and were told that they ... Read more

Hotel check-in station was not clean. The coffee/water station had bugs flying in and around. We mentioned to the front desk clerk and it was shrugged off. As Hampton hotels go, this was a subpar remodel. Wall A/C not able to adequately cool, musty smell in the room, weird buzzing noise off & on. TV had to be restarted in order for cable to come on. Standard Hampton hotel furnishings, but it didn't feel like a Hampton & was $40 more/night than the one I regularly stay away in D.C. A much more expensive area.

We were placed next to a room (room number 209) on 8/13/16 that had teenaged and/or early twenty indivduals. There was at least three persons in that room. They had an all night party. They continually opened there door and were using profanity. Needless to say my family, including my 11 and 9 son and daughter could not sleep and felt very uncomfortable. I decided on this hotel because it was only 20 mins away from the Redskins Training Camp facility, which this was our main reason for visiting the area. The lobby is well decorated and the seating for the complimentary breakfast is in the lobby area, although they have a divider between seating and the front desk.
