This hotel needs some major updates. Only plus was a seperate bedroom from living area. Upon entering the room we were blasted with cold air. At least the air conditioner worked. Had to sleep in 50* temperature with sweat suit on. Glad it was only a one night stay. Front desk staff was friendly but it doesn't make up for the poor condition of the rooms.

I stayed at the Rodeway Inn by the Beach in Virginia Beach in room 305 from 09/16/16-09/18/16 and it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The conditions were unlivable. The door wouldn't deadbolt unless we pushed our whole body against it. The air conditioner leaked a huge puddle onto the floor. There was a foul smell in the bedroom. Half the buttons on the microwave didn't work! However, those were the least of our concerns. There was black mold on the hallway ceiling that som... Read more

Room was a little run down. I liked the jacuzzi tub in our room. Also the balcony was nice. If you get a room facing 10th Street, you can see the ocean!! But I would like to WARN everyone, unless you can park in front of the hotel, you CAN NOT fit a large vehicle in the parking garage. Very tight fit. At one point we drove to a dead end, no empty spots and no way to turn around, we had to back around some poles and it was awful!!

Just returned from a quick two day stay here during the week in August and wanted to share a few observations we had during our stay. I read the reviews and I was expecting this place to be terrible....and while I will say I wasn't wowed by my stay...it wasn't the terrible experience other people reported having. So..on to the details... The good: -Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable enough, We generally take quilt or sleeping bags to use instead of the in room bedspreads as they are... Read more

We had an awesome stay with the family. Having a kitchenette in the room was very convenient. This is a great place for familes on a budget. It was great to be so close to the water. We will definitely be back!

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. A/C did not work. 92 in room at 5pm. Wifi did not work, had to use phone data as hotspot. Room was not cleaned, found food under bed. Management did not care that I payed $209 a night and had no A/C. Yes $209 a night and no ac! If I moved my car at night I had to park 6 blocks away, as parking filled up. Parking lot so small, watched 2 cars back into support columns. Would not recommend staying here for any purpose! They wouldn't refund, or allow early che... Read more

This hotel is dated but clean. The shower had hot water and great water pressure. The staff was very friendly. The room did not have a coffee maker or kitchen supplies but that was adverised so we brought our own. Would definitely stay again.

visited from a monday- friday in July. had a room right outside of the pool which actually was nice so we could tell when it was crowded so there were a few times that we were the only ones in the pool. parking is terrible. very tight on second level ( was never able to find a spot on first level) . short walk to the beach which was nice. elevator and stair well had a weird smell. room was very outdated. beds and pillows weren't very comfy. liked the size of the room and easily could fit four (...
