Horrible. The front desk night girl was rude (actually hung up on me when she didn't want to answer my checkout question.) They no longer have a hot tub, as advertised. Rooms were horrible-loud from between the walls and outside traffic. The air conditioner turns on and off like the sound of a freight train...and the temperature never regulates. The pillows are overstuffed and hard as a rock. This is not a quiet place to rest. I would NOT recommend this location. I will not return.

Front desk was quick and polite . Staff was very welcoming. I had no issues with my reservations. The front desk suggested great places in the area. Nice rooms good breakfast . Close to airport and mall. I will return soon!!!!!!

Large room with comfortable bed, refrigerator and microwave. Less expensive than other places in the area, which is why we chose it. Carpet and some furniture could use a bit of sprucing, but it was in a safe location and just fine for what we needed, especially for the price. The usual complimentary breakfast. Reception was very helpful with restaurant suggestions. We enjoyed Hoss's Deli (excellent fish) and Smoke BBQ, both casual eateries not too far from the hotel by car, with Hoss's be... Read more

Location was wonderful, within a three minute drive to the mall and specialty stores. Room was quiet and peaceful. Staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to other travelers coming to this area.

I stayed at the Jameson Inn and Suites 4 nights while attending a conference in the area. I choose the hotel because it was affordable and I had stayed there in the past. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My first floor room was very clean and all amenities were in order. My only complaint was that there was no sheer curtain in addition to the drapery. Since I was on the ground floor, the sheer would have allowed natural light into the room without the possibility of someone ... Read more

After a very long work week in Virginia Beach, I had a very pleasant experience here. Room was clean and inexpensively priced. Comfortably king bed and free complimentary breakfast. I'd also like to say thank you to Leah at the front desk. What a pesonable, kind, and courteous professional you have at your hotel. Thank you again

Housekeeping did not replace towels left on the bathroom floor; instead they leave the dirty towels right on the floor. Housekeeping also did not change our linen (stayed 3nights) and emptying ice bucket is also NOT under the duties of housekeeping. Spa has been removed and not noted in hotel description. Pool is also unkept, with oily layer of Flem like substance. Stayed here a year ago and it was great. The spa was nice and the property was well kept, however based on this last visit I would... I spent three days very agreeably at the Hotel during my trip to my son's graduation in Yorktown, Virginia. This super well it located in a quiet, nice and safe area, close to the main streets, shopping malls and other landmark.

This hotel is a great value. Pet friendly, clean, safe, comfortable bed and pillows. Large room. Large bathroom. Indoor pool. Breakfast was typical southern style with biscuits and gravy along with all your choice of bagels, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, and juice. Front desk woman was cordial and nice. It is slightly older, and the shower was a little worn, but for $70 per night, well worth the price. Would stay here again.

For the price this hotel kinda sucks! First off my room was never cleaned in the three days I was there not even fresh towels! I went down to get fresh towels and was actually told to bring them down before I could get fresh ones! What the hell! Breakfast wasn't the great either! They were always out of forks and the juice dispenser tray was always overflowing! And good luck finding anyone to tell since they are making the guy who's running the front desk do the breakfast on top of things! I don... Read more

When we got there they refused our paid in full Priceline reservation. After much arguing with the manager, they gave us a smoking room that looked like someone just left the bed. Hair in it. Noise all night long for the two days we stayed. I should not have paid more than $30 a night to stay here, but it cost three times toooo much. I have reported this to priceline, They should do a stop and check on this hotel

Our room was infested with Bed Bugs. My husband is a Certified Pest Operator. The first night we were bitten bad. We discovered them the next day on the bed and behind the headboards. At first we thought it was a mosquito in the room. My daughter saw one crawling on the bed and my husband then checked the room. They were all behind the headboards of both beds. I am upset because we have bite marks all over our skin and they really hurt. Our money was refunded for both nights but it still put us ... Read more

The Jameson is great if you're the sort who doesn't mind an older establishment that may have the odd stain on a rug, but it's clean, cheap, convenient, and safe. You come here to sleep - it's not a resort. You're not afraid to rub elbows with hardworking, blue-collar folks and transient military. It has a small pool, meagre exercise room, conference room, allows pets, and has both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Staff are friendly. I have to come over to the other side of town every couple of w... Read more

My husband & I originally booked a room for 4 nights at a different motel closer to Ft. Eustis as we were in town for our daughter's graduation from AIT at the Army Base & we wanted to stay close by. We had just driven 18 hours & just wanted to shower & rest. However, after paying in full for the entire reservation & moving our luggage into the room, we quickly decided to look elsewhere for our accommodations. I quickly remembered the Jameson Inn from doing the research for our trip months befo... Read more

My teenage son and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed it. The rates are decent, the full continental breakfast (eggs, waffles, fruit, coffee) is great and the indoor pool helps you beat the Virginia humidity. I rented a double room on the 1st floor. The A.C. was cold, the room smelled fresh, the linen was clean and the flat screen TV received local channels and cable. Iron, iron board, microwave and fridge are also in the rooms. A nice shopping area is within 1 mile along with McDonalds,... Read more

I lived in NN for 7 years so I was apprehensive about staying in city as NN is crime ridden city that had been steadily getting worse for past 15 years. Motel was off OLD Oyster Rd - right by Canon Plant - nice area. Motel was very clean- easy check-in, and well laid out and in great location - right near I-64. Breakfast was good - checkout easy and overall very good experience. I would definately stay here again!

Booked this hotel for a one night stay for a local Geocaching event. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, beds and chairs were comfortable. Nice spacious bathroom. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Only complaints/suggestions would be the décor in the hotel and rooms could use updating. And the free deluxe hot breakfast was lacking. The juice, fruit and cereal was good. The waffle mix was a little bland, sausage was sitting in a crock pot, eggs were in round pieces also in a crockpot, an... Read more

Dirty would be a compliment for what I saw upon entering my hotel room. The carpet was stained and the chair was so disgusting sitting in it was NOT an option. However none of this compared to what we found in the bathroom. The vent was full of dirt as if no one ever thought to pay it any attention. The faucet was loose and separating from the sink. The walls were filthy around the bottom. And to top it all off the shower curtain was so DISGUSTING none of us would dare put it in the tub. I'm con... Read more

I stayed at the Jameson as a chaperon of a school overnight trip. The staff of hotel were very nice. The rooms were small, but clean. The breakfast was good , especially the waffles (according to my daughter.) I cannot say I felt 100% safe because of 2 people who walked in off the street, into the conference room, and helped themselves to coffee and apples.

The floors were sticky and the walls were stained. That wasn't even the worse part. My son got a nose bleed in the middle of the night. A little got on the bed so I wiped it up for the time being. When we left to go out the next day i made sure i moved the comforter from he bed so they can see the stain and make sure the sheets were clean (which they should clean them anyway). We came back around 7pm that night and noticed the room was clean and beds were made. When it was time to get in bed an... Read more

This hotel was a no frills accommodation which met our needs for the weekend. We were visiting our daughter who is a CNU student, so we did not have time to use any amenities. The room was a bit dated, but met our needs. I got the feeling that housekeeping is rather hit or miss. Our room's previous occupant had left two drawers of clothing which the housekeeper hadn't removed. When I contacted the front desk, it was taken care of promptly, but we did find it rather strange.

This is my 4th time coming to this particular hotel. The front desk is always extremely nice and accommodating. They great a grade of A. The hotel is still working on the aesthetics, comfort and features of the room. The first room I was assigned air did not work and a couple other issues. The next room was nice and spacious. The toilet made horrible noises when flushing but everything else was fine. I would give the room a C-. Continue to work toward excellence and value. I was pleased.
