On this particular weekend this hotel required we stay a minimum of two nights. I suppose this was due to a couple college graduations in the area since this was our purpose of staying. Our room was small, but comfortable. Friendly staff greeted us during our stay and we felt comfortable spending evenings gathered in the lobby area playing cards and talking. Unfortunately, our neighbors on our hallway were loudly talking and slamming doors nonstop late night and early morning. This noise is not ... Read more

The Hampton Inn in Newport News off of Jefferson Ave was a great stay. So, if you are travelling to Newport News make a stop and grab a cookie in the evening. The cleanliness of the hotel rooms are top notch. Daily there is breakfast from 6am-10am. Much prompts goes out to the management of this hotel. They are very caring and professional in their way of treating you as family not guest. I will make it my hotel to go to in Newport News, VA.

This is ideally located near restaurants and shopping, away from the hustle and bustle. Also not to far from Busch Gardens. In the evening there are cookies that are served when you check in and or walking by. A nice place to go, but it did fall below my expectations.

Much cleaner, roomier & functional than the hotel I stayed in the previous night in Annapolis, MD. Loved the Neutrogena (bath) products ... nice touch. Impressed by the overall appearance of the room (wood paneling with cabinet back light was VERY NICE). Upon check-in, front desk staff did not give me undivided attention. While 2 were on duty, the one who was suppose to be checking me in was micro-managing the other (more concerned about that guest than me) and answered the phone while makin... Read more

The hotel itself houses immaculate rooms which are very much pleasing to the guest. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms follow suit. The beds have always been as comfortable as they come. The lobby is also very attractive with a dining area that is as well. The reservation specialists are second to none. Ms. Karen, Ms. Carole... Read more

I told my husband to call and book our room in advance so we were guaranteed a room for graduation weekend. Of course he did not listen! Lol When we arrived to the hotel we were not expecting for any rooms to be available. But with the help of the front desk lady Mrs. Karen and our honors club we were able to get a room and at a reasonable price!

I stay in Hampton Inns very often for business and pleasure. We stayed here due to the location to the two military bases. The rooms smelled musty. I did not walk on the carpet due to it being dirty.
