We came in as a Timeshare exchange. The reviews I read were very different to our experience. The check in was painful, since we had a person who was obviously new, but we understood . THIS UNITS ARE NOT GOOD FOR DISABILITY OR ELDERLY PEOPLE who are not in excellent condition . Most of the units have at least 18 steps to get to the apartment. There are some have only 3. We had requested (when we learned about the stairs), something with least steps, but we got at least 18 ( or so). Despite that... Read more

The accommodations are ok, just really dated, they need a major overhaul. The layout is nice, however I've never stayed in a place where the master bath wasn't connected to the master bedroom or even on the same floor. Unfortunately, this isn't for us, however the resort appears to have many things to do.

Our stay was booked through the Armed Forces Vacation Club so the rate for our stay was great, especially since we left two nights early because of the encroachment of black ants onto the balcony and into the kitchen. On behalf of the property, we did not try and have them come and spray while we visited because of a toddler and elderly guest in our party. The property, as stated by many previous reviews is dated. Especially the kitchen. The blue carpet is not pleasant to look at nor the clo... Read more

Villa was a 2 bedroom house had a great view of trees Massanutan Resort near by has all the activities from golf, fishing, go karting, spa, zip line. Skyline drive is nearby and accommodation rates are very affordable. 5 star rating from me.

We spent a week here and though we didn't avail ourselves to them, you get access to all the amenities of the Massanutten Resort. We instead used our unit as a base as we explored sites like Luray Caverns, New Market Battlefield, Shenandoah National Park, Natural Bridge, Monticello, Montpelier, and Highland. The units themselves are large. Plenty of space for a party as large as 8, almost too much for our party of 3. On the main floor you'll find the kitchen, dining room with patio deck off ... Read more

Massanutten is one of the best places for a quiet week away. We enjoy the numerous dear in the park and the fun places to go. Shenandoah area and river, just beautiful. Great restaurants, fun spots everywhere.

The Mountainside Villas are a series of townhome/condo rentals in the beauty of Massanutten nature and ours was on the 18th hole of a lovely golf course. The wildlife is willing to come right up to the back porch door even though we were unwilling to feed them. We saw deer--some with fawns, a spotted skunk; marmots; and many birds. A mother deer even left her infant fawn bundled up near the trunk of a tree in our front yard. The only warning I shall give, outside of--don't befriend the wildl... Read more

Condo was huge. Dishes were plentiful. Beds were very comfy. View was spectacular!! Having two decks were really nice. Jacuzzi was super after swimming or hiking. Swimming pools were lovely; very refreshing. Hiking was enjoyable; able to see what God created up close! Only suggestion: cleaning of condo could have been a little more extensive ( ex. ceiling above stove was quite dirty ) Base boards and blinds could have been dusted more often.

Booked a week in a Resort Condo in Massanutten Resort. This has been one of the most relaxing vacations I have had in years. We have three young grandchildren with it and our son. There is something for everyone to enjoy as well as spacious private quiet time area also. We will be back.

Unit is great, a bit dated, but in great condition. Be very careful of the front desk staff. They try to take a "deposit" and then won't release it back until after you leave!!! DONT LET THEM KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT!!!

We stayed in unit 67 at mountainside villas. The only thing I like about it was the space and open floor plan. It was dirty and dusty. Cobwebs and spiderwebs up and down the corners of the walls and ceilings. My husband and I had to go by allergy medicine to to stay there. They actually had spiders in them that scurried down the wall. It was an older outdated unit. The upstairs bathroom was atrocious. The tub was cracked and peeling. The vinyl was warped and puckered. The trees were in bad need ... Read more

My family and I rented one of the timeshares for 4 nights during the 4th of July weekend. The condo was very clean and had a lot of open space. The area is breathtaking and there is so much to do for the whole family. Highly recommended for folks with kids. There is a water park and an adventure park for the little ones, and the caverns are only a 3o minute drive away.

Nice, quite, and very relaxing. Had a great time and will more than likely return soon. The customer service is average and with all the people I expected better customer service. The officers are very friendly and the customers/owners are amazing and welcoming. Area is perfect for a family getaway.

We are two families with 4 adults and 4 kids in the ages of 12,11,8, and 7. The unit was spacious for us to fit every one. I believe we have a remodeled unit with washer and dryer underneath the kitchen counter top. It feels very comfortable although I wish they can upgrade their furnishing too. The furnitures and decor in the bedrooms are outdated. We used the kitchen for a few nights and we enjoyed the indoor grill very much. The BBQ we did was delicious. The resort has a lot of activities... Read more

We ended up at the Mountainside Villas as part of Interval timeshare. I will admit the grounds of the entire Massanutten complex are a bit overwhelming with the various locations for all of the activities and the Villas, while close to some things like Le Club, the one golf course, and the ziplining/ski location, still required you to walk to most activities. But the villa itself was clean, fairly modern and had many amenities such as a Jacuzzi tub, and two decks. Free wifi was a joke though,... Read more

We had reserved a week at Mountainside Villas in the Massanutten resort. We only stayed 4 days for a variety of reasons. The mattresses were very soft and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The unit was not very clean. The ice maker on the fridge was out of order. The did offer us bagged ice, which we did take on 1 occasion. A repairman came and made an adjustment and asked us to call him if it did not work. However, after this adjustment, neither the ice maker or the fridge worked. (di... Read more

Great place, good price, clean, spacious and comfortable. Even saw deer in the morning strolling by the villas. The stay can be great if you can just get over the horrible experience Kees Vacation puts you through. We rented 3 units..and even with a 6 months advanced booking they still failed to accommodate the 3 units close together. We were told the request was not transferred to the final booking agency. We tried again this year hoping for a better result..but alas the confirmation emails ne... Read more

The condo was spacious, clean and included a sauna and a hot tub. All was in working condition including all the small appliances. All beds were comfy and we all slept like babies including babies. TV reception wasn't the best but after a system reboot everything went back to normal. Parking was right by the villa. Occasional deers visits. I can't talk about amenities that much since we only stopped by the zip-line and an indoor pool on one rainy night was slightly over crowded. It was a family ... Read more

Loved the whole vacation, so much to see and do in the area . As senior citizens would have wished for fewer steps. Recommend the Edelweiss German Restaurant in Staunton VA the food is very good. The D Day Memorial in Bedford is well worth the 2 hrs drive.

We spent a week in Mountainside Villas and it was just remarkable. The 2-bedroom unit is very spacious with a loft with 2 twin daybeds to boot. The unit sleeps 8, 2 in each bedroom, 2 (probably more suitable for children) in the loft area and then there is a queen-size sofabed that will hold an additional 2. There is a full size kitchen, fairly equipped, 2 baths, large living room, dining room area, a balcony and a deck. The unit that we were in did not have a washer/dryer which we had b... Read more

Have been vacationing here for many years. The Mountainside Villas are always maintained beautifully and are well appointed. Took a "moderate" hike to Kaylor's Knob--it's not moderate. It is classified as Extremely Difficult and you need to be part billy-goat to enjoy. Resort needs to update it's hiking map from 2009. Enjoyed all the amenities at the Club. Kitchen is great--including the new JenAire--so easy to clean. Great beds and linens.

Beautiful cabin and wonderful time. Make sure if you get cabin 105, you must be physically fit. There are about 30 steep steps leading to the entrance of the villa. Just be warned... I had a wonderful relaxing time at the pool and outside Jacuzzi.

We had a bit of difficulty locating the check-in, as it was not at the usual Resort check-in location that we had experienced many times previously, as we go for a week every year. The facility did not have a washer/dryer in the unit. But, there is a laundromat at the check-in building. The two bedroom unit was roomy and comfortable. The 2nd bedroom had a double bed, would prefer a queen size. Only one bathroom upstairs for both bedrooms and the loft. However, the first floor had a large bat... Read more

There are several different housing areas at Massanutten. The Villas are one of the oldest and certainly the most comfortable developments at the resort. Each townhouse has 2 bedrooms, loft, full kitchen, 2 baths, full living room, washer/dryer in unit, dish washer, full stove, and fully furnished with everything, hot tub/jacuzzi, suana, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts. Resort has golf course, skiing, year around indoor water park, walking trails, rec center, restaurants and nightlife. We'... Read more

It is my understanding that the are renovated units, but the unit we were assigned was in horrible condition. In general, the furniture was worn and in poor condition. The appliances were dated and not very clean. The setting is beautiful but the grounds were poorly maintained. If you decide to go there, ask if your villa has been renovated. If not, demand another unit!

Very enjoyable experience. The units are pleasant but the steps to approach each unit are EXCESSIVE. As an older couple we could NOT have made this work without some CREATIVE parking. Get VERY explicit directions to the check-in facility at the Guard House when entering the property.

We stayed in the Mountainside Villas on this property and I must say they exceeded our expectations. Our villa accommodated up to 8 people, there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Customer service was excellent. We look forward to coming back here again.
