This has been our family place to stay for the yearly family reunion for 25 or more years, so obviously not a new hotel. It has been under a number of hotel names, was once a Holiday Inn then a Best Western. Lost the name due to the upkeep I assume. The owners are working on fixing up some of the problems, but it is still a trade off. Has some of the largest rooms you will ever get, along with a terrific gathering spot poolside where we can fit tables and chairs for the 30-40 family members who ... Read more

Room was decent, beds were comfortable and the fridge w/ freezer in the room was VERY handy. Unfortunately, the pool has developed a leak and is shut down for the rest of the season. We thought the motel was decent for the price we paid.

The room was very attractive and comfortable. The hallway carpet could use cleaning - its shabbiness doesn't match the freshness of the room. It seems to be run by only one person who is on call (literally - if no one responds to the bell, you have to call the front desk, while standing at the front desk) 24/7. Not a problem - he was nice. It was just odd. We've never stayed at this brand of motel, but will probably choose it again.

Hotel is a bit tired and out of date. Room seemed a bit stale, but it had all the basics covered. It served the purpose as a place to sleep, nothing more. Breakfast was ready on time Bring your own soap as Americas best Value clearly lacks any marketing deal with any major personal care products provider

Seemed very clean. Pet friendly;which was one of the reasons we picked America's Best.We were on our way to Tennessee and it was a convenient off/on to Rt 81.We were placed in the rear of the motel;it seemed like there was some work going on,piles of rusty bannisters, etc. lots of nightime activity going on in the back,so we made sure room was secure.Could be a nice place; but the rear of motel was a little "unsavory". The room itself was comfortable, just not sure if I would stay in the" back" ag... Read more

I was worried this might not be a good experience due to the rate( under $80 a night). The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Only complaint would be no fan in the bathroom so very steamy after a hot shower. Hotel was close to town and Rt 16 (The Back Of The Dragon).

Stayed here on a motorcycle trip to ride the Back of the Dragon. The place was extremely clean, Room was spacious and well laid out. Although pricey for a budget motel at $67/night, it was well worth it. The only complaint is the breakfast left something to be desired, slim pickings and old, but otherwise a great place to stay.

My wife was sick and we were allowed to check in early by the helpful host. She was able to rest in a large room with a king size bed. Price was right compared to larger motels. Thin towels and a little peeling paint but a great value. Felt very save and convince store and restaurant within walking distance. Families were able to enjoy large outdoor pool.

Stayed here because we had traveled thru storms and needed to stopped. We needed a pet friendly room and received one in the very back of the hotel. Our car was the only one in the back parking lot and we were somewhat worried. But the room was neat and clean and we had our dog, thus we took it. Everything was fine and the price was the lowest(66) we had paid for a long time. The pet fee was only 10.00. We would probably stay there again. We did not have breakfast thus cannot comment.

Locals says this's the best place of this type of lodging to stay at in the area. Not much to choose from in this small community. Place has changed the company it's under and has a newer owner. Needs cosmetic work done. Place otherwise clean and well kept. Quiet rooms. Adequate continental breakfast.

We have stayed in this hotel every year for the last 10 years; third week of July during the craft fair . We have experienced different owners and seen numerous changes, both good and bad. There isn't a whole lot to choose from in Marion and this is the best of the choices. Although the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable this year we noticed things weren't 'up to par'. The ice machine was out of order the entire weekend, the paint on the pools was chipping and the water didn't seem ve... Read more

Hotel was clean. Rate was reasonable, just what we were looking for. Checked out the hotel next door first, it didn't look or smell good. Front desk lady was helpful in pointing us in right direction to eat. WalMart was also open late on the Sunday night.

Carpet all wet around the air conditioner. Thankfully, the air conditioner worked. Unable to flush the toilet. Less than 10 minutes smoke came out of TV. Smell horrible. Called the front desk to complain, nothing they could do, rooms all booked. Breakfast was horrible. Would not recommend.

Visible presence of a couple of local meth-heads just out of sight from the lobby staff. At one point I needed to call the office when a local waste-head tried to force her way into my room. Pathetic continental breakfast. Nice staff, but I'm sorry I can't rate this higher

We were very comfortable at this motel; clean, well appointed, quiet, but there was a couple inconveniences. First, the ice machine was out of order, and second, WiFi was intermittent. To make it a good weekend, we improvised, adapted, and overcame.

Reading the reviews in TA I was reluctant to stay here, but it was only for one night and the price was right. This is a older hotel and I can see where you might pass it up, but you do not have a lot of reasonable choices in Marion. When we arrived the lady that greater us was very friendly. Our room was very large and very clean. We had a great night sleep. The breakfast choices were limited so we went to the Cracker Barrel about 20 miles up the road. We would stay here again if we are ever in... Read more

This was a last minute highway stop over location choice for us. A good choice. The room we had was a nice room, very clean, very comfortable beds, adequate linen, helpful staff. It is budget accomodation and it is great value. Free wifi, parking at door and free breakfast (reasonable selection). Can recommend.

This place is pretty old and grotty looking, but comfortable enough, and clean. I had a ground floor "suite" and was surprised to find the windows did not open. Fortunately the A/C worked ok and wasn't too noisy. Very slow check in due to people who have no respect for other peoples' time. In the end I had a good night's sleep and that's what counts.
