This is a very nice property. Rooms themselves are plenty big enough and you will get a good night sleep as the beds are comfortable and there is not a lot of street noise after about 6pm. It's a little bit of an older hotel, but still has a very modern look and feel to it. Rooms were clean, carpet and all common areas were very clean and well lit. Our room featured a nice chair that was both clean and comfortable to sit in. We enjoyed great water pressure in the shower and the attached p... Read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel after a visit to Liberty University. We had a good experience when we checked into the hotel once my husband parked our car in the parking garage ajacent the hotel. We found our room to be clean when we arrived and the bed extremely comfortable--especially the pillows. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open on a Saturday night, but we did see the bar open so we ordered some appetizers and cocktails. We had coupons to use the next morning fo... My wife and I traveled to Appomattox, VA for a tour of the battle field and of the Court House. We decided to spend the night in Lynchburg rather than driving directly home. We have always found the Holiday Inn Hotels to be an excellent choice both in value and service. We were not disappointed when we arrived at the Holiday Inn in Lynchburg. Greeted upon arrival we were informed of all the hotel had to offer. Our room was outstanding, both large and very clean. We prefer to park the car a... Read more

Our stay was the most terrible stay in a hotel ever, i have platinum status and was treated like crap, our beds were not made 2 nights out of 5, no bellman, staff said no to everything. Definitely do not recommend ever to stay here, and managers dont solve anything.

From the moment I drove up in front of the hotel, I knew this was a special place. Greeted by Alecia at the front desk with a big smile and complete professionalism. She was patient with my thousand questions about using their super easy technologically savvy parking facility and computer facility. I'm old so I don't take lightly to technology. Whenever I was stuck, she patiently supported me and showed me the way. I found the entire facility to be clean and warm and completely well run. It was ... Read more

Typical Holiday Inn, nothing to rave about. Nothing special just a place to sleep. The room was clean and there was both a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. Location was close to small venues.

In downtown the hotel offers convenient parking and quick walking access to town. There is an outdated gym, an outdoor pool, a restaurant and meeting rooms. The restaurant is ok. The rooms were ok, had trouble keeping my room cool enough. I'd stay here again, but I wouldn't go through any trouble to get here.

It's not newly renovated, but it is clean, safe and affordable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location downtown and easy to get to. parking is included, breakfast is not. The AC worked VERY well, it was a crazy hot day in June in VA.

Reserved a room months in advance for a specific event in June 2016. Reserved king size bed. At the time of making the reservation, they were not fully booked, so assumed I got the king size. Did not. Ran out of hot water on 2nd day so I had to take a cold shower. Location was awful for the occasion. Road construction/detours every where! Weather was awful as well; of course nothing can be done about that. The most terrible part: tried to check out one day early and was told I would be charged f... Read more

Overall the Hotel appears great, however when you get to the rooms, you see the issues. We stayed in Room 405. First it is very obvious that the rooms are very small and outdated. Old dirty carpets, TV very small, Incorrect Faucet in Bathroom, heavy stains on tile floor grout lines in Bathroom. All outlets are so old they are very loose and practically unusable! The beds are twins or doubles, no Queens. Now about the Hotel. The staff seemed friendly enough. Maid service was responsive and... Read more

The hotel isn't new but it has some "old world" charm to it. The rooms are pleasant and clean and the staff is really helpful. We stopped by the desk to request some coffee cups and one of the staff met us as we stepped off the elevator with cups in hand. Unlike many of the Holiday Inns, this one doesn't have the breakfast buffet but you get $8 credit toward the breakfast in the providence restaurant and our omelets were perfectly done and the coffee was terrific. Our waitress was very nice and... Read more

The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is convenient to the downtown area. The hotel is showing age. The rooms are not bright and cheerful, the air conditioning unit vibrated and was loud, the lighting leaves much to be desired, and the room interiors are drab. The room telephone did not work until a number of calls to the front desk and a maintenance worker finally was sent to the room.

I was in town dropping my daughter off to Liberty. Used my Military discount to reserve a room. I needed another night and Bart and Dan assisted me in securing a room for another night and they fixed an overcharge. Great Staff!!! Will be back! All staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and breakfast was great!!!!

In August, we traveled a long 13+ hours to go to LU's freshman orientation for our daughter. The staff was great at pointing the way to the local restaurant and greeting us with a smile. Elvis (concierge) is the main reason we keep coming back. He has an answer for every question. We appreciated seeing him again when we traveled back to move her in to LU in August. He waves his hand and is quick to visit with you! The location is great! We had no problem finding the hotel and getting to campu... Read more

I Stayed Saturday night and had trouble with our tv trying to watch college football that evening. We called the front desk, who sent help up immediately. They sent up their engineer on duty, Kenny, who was nothing short of excellent. He helped resolve our issue as fast as he could and even compensated us for our trouble. I was really impressed by Kenny's professional and friendly demeanor while helping us with our concerns. I've never experienced such great customer service and I plan on stayin... Read more

There wasn't anything spectacular about it but the rooms were clean and it was right on Main Street where everything in Downtown was in walking distance so that was nice. The staff was also very nice and had some recommendations on what to do in the area at check in.

Angela was my main gal, but Elvis greeted me. Elvis is the second, and there is a third but probably not a fourth. Angela has grandkids yet she looks way younger than me. That is how my encounter with having a local brew began. I am a freestyle world traveler and I do not just sit quiet at a counter. What fun is that?? Angela started to set up the bottles to showcase what was offered. OMG! that is your wine selection??!! I said....she bowed gracefully knowing what I meant. I had asked for a ta... Read more

This hotel is located in a wonderful spot in the historic downtown area of Lynchburg. It is fun to be in the middle of the cute cafes and shops. The room and bathroom were clean and updated. Everything was in good condition except the desk chair- and it needed to be replaced. The complimentary breakfast was okay and some items were not complimentary. Overall we had a very positive stay and would stay again. To get the free parking- be sure to have the front desk explain how the system works.

First of all, I am a bargain hunter with hotels. I love a great deal. I don't pay for perfect, but I like a hotel to be clean and the service to be excellent at any price point. This hotel was clean and the room was comfortable for our family of five (with a good size rollaway). We loved the location because we could easily walk to the river, shops and a farmer's market. Where this hotel really shines is service. I let the front desk know about a few maintenance problems before we left for break... Read more

My husband and I stayed here on the spur of the moment on our way back from Virginia Beach to Nashville, TN. We like traveling off the beaten path to experience new things. Well this is a gem located in the heart of Virginia! We have even talked about a trip to Lynchburg just to stay here and explore the city! The staff were all so helpful and the food was fantastic. After a long day of traveling the staff made us feel like we were their only guests! The room was large and the bed was ama... Read more
