We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and make it a mandatory stop each year on our trip(s) up and down the East Coast. It is a beautiful, historic property with a lot of character and ambience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They are quick to meet your special requests and are very knowledgeable about the area attractions and dining options. The hotel is very well kept and immaculately clean. Our only caution would be to make sure you don't get the room right next to the fi... Read more

Charming hotel built around an old manor. Location is a short walk to the center of town. Clean, reasonably sized rooms. Quiet. Staff was nice, but lacked enthusiasm. Breakfast room was nice, but the food itself was nothing special.

This is a charming old mansion that has been restored to a not-so-typical Hampton, with all the Hampton amenities plus more. We have stayed here twice while traveling to or from SC to NYS. Breakfast was excellent. There are not a lot of restaurants close-by - pizza and sub shops, fast-food places mostly.

It's not a typical Hampton Inn. It has the usual guest rooms in a separate building but Hampton renovated a 1827 mansion which has 10 guest rooms available. I have difficulty w/ stairs so we chose the room on the main level - #1 - what a huge room, king four poster bed, area w/ a small table for dining, chair & ottoman, a bench in front of the bed, and working gas fireplace. There was an outside door to a patio in which smokers hung out - we didn't notice any smoke but you could hear folks ou... Read more

We had a terrific experience at this hotel. It was our first time in Lexington and the Hampton Inn was wonderful and located close to town within walking distance of lots of stuff. Everyone there was warm and friendly... just a great experience!

A great Inn with historical significance and an outstanding staff. The cocoa and cookies are a welcoming treat. The Inn is near the sites of Lexington and one can walk to those sites with little trouble and effort.

Arrived here by accident and had no idea of the historical significance. Highly recommended . Such a shame there are not more hotels which fall in the normal range such as this. The bonus is the area around the town which includes VMI and Washington and Lee universitys.

We stay here often when visiting. Rooms are immaculate and the staff is great. Would love to give 5 stars but their breakfast is ho hum. Stale pastries, microwaved eggs, and water downed juice. Their coffee is good though.

Clean hotel, the main entrance is an old house, built in 1827, so not your standard Hampton or other hotel. The rooms are modern with good security measures, some (mine was) have outside doors so you do not have to truck through the entire hotel to find your room, more of the older motel fashion.
