We stayed at this property last year and so enjoyed it, we decided to return this year. What a disappointment! Firstly, there was a "confusion" with our room type. We settled on a king room which was very nice. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the atrium. But the evening "happy hour" and the breakfast were a disaster. The hotel management KNEW they had a full house, yet there was only one, very slow, bartender. The line was at least 10-12 people long. The savvy ones were ordering two drinks ... Read more

Our child's team stays here 2x per year. The rooms are clean and the service is consistently good. Our only complaint - when there are several large groups in the hotel, put a 2nd bartender and breakfast chef on duty. The lines were extremely long.

Convenient location and closer to Dulles airport. Restaurants are within walking distance. Nice suites with quiet location. Great made to order breakfast in the morning. Enjoy happy hours from 5:30 to 7:30 - compliments of the hotel. Very friendly and courteous staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a smoking room, which worked out well. The indoor pool was great for the grand children. They have a pool attendant there all day that keeps the temperature of the pool and the room perfect. He hands out floaters for the young ones and gets a good watch on them. The free breakfast was very good as well as the evening reception. We enjoyed it.

I was forced to stay in a smoking room for three days even after explaining to Hotel clerks I was disabled with Asthmatic issues. The reservation was a mix up so I was removed from a non-smoking room to a smoking room. The primary issue is Hotel representatives did nothing to accommodateme other than spray air freshner

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years twice a year. The rooms are always clean, the breakfast is outstanding, and the staff has always been pleasant. I usually stay at "finer" hotels but this one is just fabulous! Love it!

This Embassy Suites isn't fancy, but it's comfortable and has everything a tired traveler needs, for a reasonable price. Very helpful front desk, handy little store with sundries and snacks, and the excellent full made to order breakfast Embassy Suites are known for. The layout of the rooms enables one person to putter around while the other sleeps in. 2 miles, 5 minute taxi ride from Dulles.

Although this hotel is close to the IAD airport with breakfast included I wouldn't stay here again. I've stayed in Embassy suites before but this location is by far my least favorite. The air conditioner in the bathroom didn't work (vents were clogged). The safe didn't work and I had to call 4 times to get someone to come take a look at it. Many hotels exist around the Dulles International Airport. I have found Embassy Suites to be the best hotel by far. The customer service provided by all staff members is excellent. This was our third hotel on a two week trip out east and was by far the best. We stayed for 5 days and everything was great. The swans were my kids' dream come true. We try to always stay at ES if they are around where we're going but this one was the best we've ever been to. Loved the updating they did, everything was clean and staff was friendly. Room had multiple faults. Only 2 fixed - and then a day later than promised. Someone left my door ajar one day - front desk promised to provide a service recovery; but nothing provided. A very good hotel in a prime location. Good clean and comfortable suites and rooms. Breakfasts are good (always the case at an Embassy Suites). But this time, on a Saturday morning, service at the grill (for eggs, omlets, etc.) was slower than I've encountered in the past and the coffee was definitely NOT hot. All this said, the staff there are all very nice people. Most hotels in Fairfax County are very high priced. That's life.

The property is clean and we will maintained, let's start there. While some things are older, they've been well maintained and you'll hardly notice. Where this property falls short, is service. There it seems like they just don't try. Check-in took forever because the front desk staff was too busy complaining they were supposed to be off shift 10 minutes ago. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, great rooms and a good location. The lobby is open and inviting and a great gathering place. The included breakfast though is a challenge. They have 1 person custom making eggs, omelets, french toast, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, etc. Which sounds great - especially because most hotels only offer powdered scrambled eggs. The lobby area has two beautiful swans and the breakfast is amazing. After the first night I found 2 pillows with blood on them. The reception did not believe I was not the culprit and after minutes of debating they switched my pillows out. Then after my first night, the A/C stopped working. I woke up covered in sweat. Complaining to the front desk did not work and it wasn't until another guest complained that they believed me. This issue continued for 2 days before the A/C was fixed.

My problem is this. My wife and I were celebrating our one year Anniversary. We got MARRIED at this hotel. This was the reason for our stay, to celebrate that Anniversary. I called ahead and requested room #525. This was the room where we spent our Honeymoon night one year ago. The gentleman who took the call assured me that he had blocked out the room we wanted, room #525. It was reserved. When we arrived, we were told that this room was NOT available. Night Audit needs a big shout out! When anyone arrives past midnight - you are already exhausted and grouchy - my experience with Night Auditor was wonderful! You could tell that the hotel recently has been updated in the lobby and rooms. I was so tired coming in that it was a pleasant surprise seeing the two beautiful swans in the lobby. I just wish I had more time to experience the entire hotel.

I was supposed to stay at this hotel while attending a conference in Washington DC. Check-in was quick and efficient. My room was okay, but definitely smaller than most Embassy Suites. As well, there were only plastic glasses which is interesting since this is a Hilton hotel (and I have never had this experience before). When I went to check out the pool, I found out it was closed until October! This is something I look for in hotels since I use it to relax at the end of the day. There was no no... Read more

This location has on numerous occasions bumped individuals because of a larger room block. I have stayed here over 15 times and seen this happen often. I have had my employees bumped, but because I am Diamond, been spared (although I was not given the room type that I reserved, thus I needed to leave after one night). The staff are unprofessional, the hotel rooms are dated despite a lobby refresh. Simply stay away. You have been warned.

Stayed at this facility three times before and had excellent experiences. Looked forward to getting in the pool but alas it was closed. Chef running the breakfast service seemed bothered that we were there: no smile or greeting, no eye contact. Seemed to almost throw our orders at us. Glad no one else had that attitude. Food provided at mgrs reception was pretty low quality and variety compared to other Embassy Suite visits. I am a Hilton Honors gold member.
