horrible service. arrived after 15 hours on the road..expecting less than 6 hours sleep. LINE at front desk..manager should leave the office and actually help guests. so gal checks me in."which floor would you like to be on?" "TOP FLOOR". There are 4 floors....I am put on 3rd. yup, thats the top. Then I asked her if she had my gold card listed...YES. The reason I asked was to be acknowledged which Marriott Always asks in review...even after I gave her the hint, no bother. so check into... Read more

I was looking for a place to get away and play video games during the Blizzcon event as I had missed tickets to the real thing. My main concern was consistent and reliable internet. The free wifi averaged around 100k/s, but the $4.95/day enhanced internet was steadily at 5.9 MB/S, which was perfect for me. The room was spotless, the staff courteous and it was super quiet - perfect for an introvert like myself :D Also, there was practically everything within two blocks of the hotel (Dominos, Wa... We stayed here on our way to West Virginia. The hotel is easy to get to off the interstate and very close to James Madison University. We got there in early afternoon so we had plenty of time to hike the JMU Campus. 4 mile trip to the stadium and back. The campus is gorgeous. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Rooms on the front side of the hotel offer a great view of the Shenandoah Valley. Sit on the balcony and share a glass of wine.

We chose this hotel based on review comments of "quiet", "comfortable beds", and "lovely view of the mountains". We found all to be true. The only problem we encountered was loud talking and smell of cigarette smoke coming from next door. We called the front desk, and they responded immediately to correct the problem, which they did. The room was pleasant and smelled very nice. Would visit here again.

We stayed here following a band competition at JMU. The facility is very convenient to the campus and lots of restaurants (and a Walmart) are close by. I do wish that Marriott offered breakfast at the Courtyards the way they do at their other brands. The Bistro (for fee) option is just not working for me. Also, in the king room we had, the tv was hard to see from one side of the bed because of the large piece of furniture where the microwave is stored. The bed was very comfortable though, ... Our son plays jazz at Jmu and that Friday concert brought us up on a football weekend with sold out hotel. This team runs a clean, quiet and very comfortable hotel. Large room. Very quiet room and again - they were sold out. We expected some noise. Nope. Good heating and cooling and the TV worked. Really what more did we need. Thanks for a very comfortable night's stay.

It was just for an overnight visit for a work trip. Hot water, indoor pool. It would have been better with a breakfast option to be included. The rooms had dim lighting but the computer desk area had an extra light.

Nice views of the mountains and JMU. Ideal location to JMU and downtown Harrisonburg. Easy access to the interstate. Staff is attentive, nice, and always smiling. Modern hotel with a bistro that offers meals at certain times for a fee. No free breakfast. They have great food and drinks and is worth dining in instead of finding a restaurant in town. Though, if you choose to leave, there are several restaurants within walking distance. The room is clean, nice arrangement and decor. Has a fridge,... Read more

From the moment my family and I entered this hotel, we were very pleased. The employees at the front desk were so welcoming, friendly, and efficient. It was exactly what we needed after a long day of strenuous travel! The hotel entrance and lobby were very clean and pleasing to the eye. We were quickly checked in, and the room was very clean. The beds and pillows were ultra comfortable, so we all had a great night's sleep! Since this hotel is in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and the B... Read more

My family recently stayed here for a JMU visit. We arrived very late and went right to the room to sleep. The room smelled a little musty and the ac was a little loud, but the beds were very comfortable- perfect. The only thing I would have liked was maybe free coffee and tea in the morning in the lobby-it can't cost that much and would have made such a difference - it seems that it is standard in almost all hotels- and I can't see why a courtyard wouldn't have it.
