This is a lovely hotel. The rooms were well appointed, nice bth products to boot. The front desk staff was lovely. However, the pool area..which was right across from our room, is not checked on at all. Sadly, you cannot count on people to watch their children like you used to. The staff was nice, the lobby nice, my room dirty. The location made it easy to get to places. The noise was terrible they had 5 basketball teams staying that weekend and at 630AM they were yelling down the hall on a sunday morning. It was terrible! The bar was slow I waited for 10 minutes and finally walked away.

Both day and night stay very customer friendly and helpful. Rooms were very tidy and on site gym and pool. The restaurant made it convienient if you do not wish to travel for breakfast or dinner. Ample parking.

We always stay here when we come down for business. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed. Staff is very friendly, especially Larry. Ate breakfast at hotel every day, everything is made to order. This was a business trip where I stayed two days in the room. I used the room for sleeping and working. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very large. The shower needed considerable updates, but the hotel will work on that. The closet needs repair as well, but all in all, I would say that the stay was a success. I don't understand how not having internet in your room is considered ok. The checkout staff, when made aware of this, acted as if everything was normal with not having internet in some of the rooms. The way that they acted nonchalant about the ordeal really got me heated as if what I paid for in the room and as an HHonors member meant nothing to them. Plus the room we stayed in wasn't cleaned very well. The drapes had huge stains on them and there was candy on the floor.

I stayed here from 5/31 - 6/3 on a business trip and I must say that I wouldn't stay here again. First room was over boiler, Stanley was very helpful and moved me to a different room which the tv remote didn't work in. For breakfast it's $9.95 and didn't open until 6am but by that time, I was already off to work for the day so I didn't get to experience that. We had stayed at this location before, so it was a natural choice for our visit to the Tidewater for a friend's retirement. The quality of the Hilton brand has never disappointed us and this property lives up to our expectations. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast after a good night's sleep. The pool/hot tub is a great place to unwind. Certainly not a budget location, but a nice place to stay.

This was a clean hotel that was very quiet even though it was pretty full. It is easy to find and the parking is well lit. I wish it included breakfast in the price. In my opinion it is the only thing lacking at this hotel. The business center was clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.

The first room did not have Wifi. We had to move to another room that was a little better, but we only had Wifi in certain areas of the room. The curtains did not close, I had to use a binder clip to close them so it would not be bright in the room early in the am. The air conditioning unit sounded like a jet taking off when it was on. I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned at all during my stay.

Excellent hotel. Kingsize bed was very comfortable and room exceptionally clean. Many amenities, including complementary internet access. Hotel in very nice area of Hampton and we could walk to many restaurants and shops. Visited during the Jazz Festival and front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast looked great but bypassed it due to additional cost. Complementary water, garnished with fresh fruit was a plus. Adequate onsite parking with attractive landscaping.

We were visiting Hampton to drop my nephew off at Hampton University. The price was cool and the rooms very modern that's why we chose The Hilton Garden Inn. *best thing about the room was it had a refrigerator & MICROWAVE!!! That's was awesome! Hilton hotel are one of my favorite places to stay. I wanted early check-in and they honored my request even after they told me that it wasn't possible due to all the rooms being full. The only complaint was that I was charged a higher rate when I booked the room on-line , but when I brought it to their attention they gave me the discounted rate.

This is a great place to stay. Lots of places within walking distance to eat. Rooms very clean and people very friendly. The breakfast is all you can eat and they cook to order a long with a breakfast bar. At night they have a bar that makes great drinks to relax.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was horrible! I am licensed through the Department of Health to check pool maintenance and their chemicals. I checked into this hotel for a weekend stay, when the hotel was at full capacity. I say this because they kept saying how busy they were as a reason for not providing service. Would definitely stay there again. Convenient location to a variety of different shopping features, (example: malls, strip malls, discount shoe stores, etc.) interstate access excellent, (example: short drive to Virginia Beach, Hampton University etc.) and local tourist attractions. The breakfast at the hotel served a full range of choices to accommodate everyone's eating pallet from children to grown up. Very quite outdoor and indoor relaxing lounge areas to end your day.

The property is centrally located off I64 in Hampton and the rooms as well as the lobby is nicely decorated and clean. The staff was all friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar is a plus, because you don't have to run out for food and the prices were reasonable. Definitely worth checking out and they have all the amenities (pool, exercise room and close promixity to many attractions in the area) as their competitors.

The Internet does not work well. The staff during breakfast was very rude to my children. I booked three rooms and was not given comp items for hhonors members. I found out that morning after another guest was given items. They have very few hotel carts. Housekeeping was great. If the amount of hotel I would stay somewhere else. We got internet better using the wifi from the hotel across the parking lot.

The hotel itself was great. I staff in the restaurant for breakfast could be a little nicer. At other Hilton Garden Inns that we have stayed in, you go up to the window and place your order with the chef. Not at this one. AC broken throughout buildings but works in room. Pool was dirty and had globs of hair at the bottom near drain. Beds hard as a rock. Housekeeping only made bed, threw pillows in chair and never replaced towels or vacuumed. Ice machines broken on every floor.

I stopped at the Hampton Virginia Hilton Gardens Inn for a couple of days in the middle of the weeks vacation. We toured Yorktown and we're only 10 minutes from the public beach. The employees were friendly and helpful but the whirlpool was broken for the entire stay. Morning coffee was available in the lobby. Restaurants were just across the parking lot. Movie theaters were across the highway.

I do not write bad reviews often. This hotel deserves a terrible review!! Stayed at the hotel for a week and in the dinning/breakfast area were tons of flies playing happily from table to table. My room was not cleaned day by day. My bed was made, and overpowering powder to make it smell good was also thrown in, but the toilet, and place in general was dirty. Just stayed here for 3 nights. Outside and lobby are clean and up to date and air conditioned however the hallways and elevators were hot, a/c was out and had been for awhile. The rooms did have a/c. None of the ice makers were working on any floor. It is in a good location with a short drive to restaraunts and shopping. Rooms were clean and spacious.

waited for 30 mts in the reception and none did bother to receive and help me with check in. They provided a key and it did not work , called the reception twice every 15 mts from 4th floor and they never even bothered to help me with the new key. I lost my temper and came down to the reception and shouted at the receptionist to get my keys . Very horrible place to stay, will never ever prefer this hotel

Fourth stay in 10 months service headed down hill. Twice given keys that would not operate rear door, where only parking available. Rooms (suite) not cleaned to expected standards. Morning breakfast on paper Plates and cheap plastic ware. Food quality sinking. We have wanted to make this our base hotel in Waco, but we may need to seek another. Disappointing.

We enjoyed the hotel, the local area and the staff was wonderful. The restaurant and bar had excellent service and the food was very good as well. Our only issue was that there were no luggage carts to be found and that was very inconvenient.

Very clean hotel and very friendly personnel. I would stay here again. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked, but I am maybe a bit picky when it comes to that. I'm use to a memory foam. All in all it was a great stay!

This hotel has been a great place to stay. The breakfast isn't included but it's so good that it's worth it. Great beds, clean rooms, fluffy pillows, and even a keurig in the room and coffee. I'd recommend this place to anyone provided it fit their budget. You'll love it!!

A great place to stay that was close to everything I wanted and needed. It provided quick access to great dining and was a hop, skip, and a jump to the university. I had to book a last minute stay here. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant, courteous and very helpful. The hotel is very well kept compared to other locations I have stayed at. Rooms were very clean and updated as far as look. My only comment would be the bed frame squeaked alike every time you got off. Other than that the stay was excellent

The hotel and amenities are what you would expect within the price range. However, I was disappointed that it appears their parking lot is rented out to city vehicles, so there is not enough room for patrons of the hotel. I also reserved a king bed, but was given 2 queens because the only king room available was above the boiler room. Was on a business/pleasure trip in this area and I'm a Hilton Hhonors member. Usually always a sure thing for their Garden Inn chain, and this did not disappoint. Our party was warmly greeted upon arrival with complimentary bottle of water for the room. The room was clean and it was kept up well. Location of the hotel was great, near shopping and restaurants. The only issue is that the complementary wifi didn't connect which it should have. This is a nice place to stay while in the area.

This is does not seem to be an older hotel, but it is lacking in cleanliness and room maintenance. My room was on the second floor and was comfortable enough, but the bathroom needed maintenance attention. The sudden need to book a room due to a funeral out of town, prompted me to seek out a Hilton Garden Inn in the Hampton, VA area. Several members of the family stayed at the same facility. So many little problems with this hotel. 1. Out keys demagged 3 times on a 4 night stay. 2. Toilet paper is actually made out of sandpaper. 3. Our room AC is loud and cannot keep a stable temperature. Either way too hot or way too cold. 4. Toilet in our room was not bolted properly down and not caulked either. It wiggles everytime used. 5. We arrived 2 hrs early after a 16 hr drive and were given rooms immediately upon arrival. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and neat, plenty of clean plush towels every day. Although it was extra the breakfast buffet was well worth it.

The breakfast area serves very good food, but get there early! They stop taking orders 15 minutes before the advertised end of breakfast at 11am. Also, the pillows were much too soft and the bed did not have the best mattress. There are worse places but for a Hilton chain hotel, I was rather disappointed.

Excellent place for a business trip. Happened to have my wife with me on this trip and she was very to get a chance to complete some of her business tastings using their guest business services. The extra benefit of breakfast is a great addition. (I have heard that Hilton Garden Inn did not offer breakfast previously)

Excellent Hotel and caring Staff make this a must stay! Made to order breakfast is convenient and fast, but at the same time relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a "hassle free" stay in the Hampton Roads of Virginia area. Highly recommend!!!!

This was my 3rd times with Hilton, service was great, I used checked in online and was able to pick my own room. The complimentary internet wifi was a little slow, but everything else satisfied, and definitely will use Hilton again for my next trips

There was a roach in my first room and earwig in the second. Back entrance needed cleaning. Was told another guest had a roach issue too the night before. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating though. I checked out early because of the issues.

Hotel was new-feeling, clean, and well kept. Reason for not staying here again was the lazy breakfast crew. They simply avoided doing their job and made you feel you were a burden they had to endure for the morning.

Check-in was fast, food and beverage at the bar right off the lobby was excellent. The cost of the room was 25% cheaper than competing/nearby hotels, and the Hilton Garden Inn provided a much better value. Room was clean and quiet, Television had plenty of channels to chose, from local network affiliates through cable news and entertainment channels. Definitely going to be at the top of my list for my next trip to the area.

We had a delightful stay at the Hampton Hilton Garden Inn. The location was superb. We were able to give our son, dauhter-in law and her mother and father some time and space to relax. We spent the day with them and came home to our hotel to relax. We spent four days at the Hilton Garden Inn and it was delightful.

We came down for thanksgiving checked in before we got here had already picked my room being as I am a Hilton Honors member. When we arrived our room was not ready nor was it cleaned we were given another room after checking the room there was hair on the sheets so we left the room and went to the front desk the lady at the desk told us that she would make sure our original room was cleaned so we left until 4 pm came back only to find out they didn't have any housekeeping to clean up for the day... the bed and linens /comforter. so comfortible. great breakfast for $10 extra. if you want to pay more for a room with a view theres only one hotel in hampton on the water. the hilton had emailed special pricing for thanksgiving which is why we did get to go. to eat with family
