Good location near the highway, but the train tracks are just yards away from the hotel. I gave up after 2 nights. I wasn't warned about the trains before, so I was lucky to find another hotel nearby. So consider yourself warned, in case the front desk doesn't tell you at check-in. Ear plugs and having AC on full blast didn't drown out the sounds either.

Stayed in this hotel for a business trip. Quality was excellent. When I entered my room, the smell of cleanliness was evident. I was able to hear the train go by at night, but not enough to keep me awake. I did see several pairs of earplugs for your use.

The beds are very comfortable; the comforter is better than my own! The only thing I would like to see at Hampton Inn is a bar area.. It would be a great place to meet friends / family, then everyone go right to their room.

The staff at this hotel aims to please. They provided all guets with lunch bag to go for your day of sightseeing or hiking. Close to Civil War battle sites, and within driving distance of Shenandoah NP and Monticello. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Great stay!

Good place if you like sleeping 100' from train tracks. And the trains go by regularly! Who thought that this would be a good location for a hotel? Room clean and breakfast is like any other Hampton, nothing to write home about it. Won't be back.

Its a nice place over all but there is a train 500 feet from the back of the hotel and it is rather loud. The staff is freandly, the room was excalent. The tv was ok wish there was more movie opptions.

Great staff, excellent location close to restaurants, shopping, movie theaters and things for all to do and see. The rooms were clean and the hotel looked to be in very good condition. Family loved their stay and had nothing but good things to say about staying here. Will use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I was at this motel for 3 nights, it was the only one in the area that I could find where my meetings were. Because of the train tracks so near I was awaken early in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep. For 3 nights I was unable to rest.

Service issues...I was on a leisure trip with my husband but was really disappointing. I am a sales director for travel groups in the area and was hoping to have a great experience. I was on pleasure trip, but lots of times I like to see the hotel for future groups. I like to go in and see it as a "customer" so that I get to see the real deal. I am hoping this hotel makes some changes because there is some real potential. It was a clean, new property that just needs some operations help. N... Read more

Try it you'll like it. Our experience couldn't have been better. Even though my wife had an emergency, early one morning; the staff called 911 , paramedics promptly arrived and resolved the issue. Post incident service was continuations and graciously provided by the staff. This made our stay even more special.

This was my second stay, the hotel was clean, room was clean and beds are super comfy. Check in was smooth and easy. They tell you at check in that there is a train that comes through all hours of the night, could be once and could be several times. They provide you with ear plugs in the room to help with this. It is loud no matter where you are in the hotel, it sounds as if it's going right through the hotel. It is loud and it will startle you. I forgot the ear plugs and sure enough at 6:17am ho... Read more

I just have to wonder who in the world thought this was a good place to build a Hampton Inn? Even though it is brand new, totally spotless, has all the comfort and amenities you have come to count on in a Hampton Inn, it has been built right in the middle of a huge shopping mall. The hotel is bounded on one side by a 6 lane highway and the train tracks on the other. Freight trains clunk by off and on all day and night. Get a room in the front of the hotel a little further away from it if you ar... Read more

This is an unremarkable hotel, but it's clean, and convenient The wifi reception is dismal. My suggestion is to bring a cat five cable and plug in directly to the Internet as wireless is weak and unreliable .

They were rude and not courteous. There should be a buzzer at the back door to allow the front desk to buzz you in. Otherwise the hotel was fine. The train is a little hard to get used to at night. We adjusted after the 2nd night.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I was warned about the nearby train tracks and trains, but I did not find them disruptive at all. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Internet is free, as well as a small breakfast buffet. There were a number of restaurants in convenient and safe walking distance, which was nice - no need to take the car back out to get dinner. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future if I have reason to go to this area.

Our experience was excellent from the moment we checked in! I read online that a train passes near the hotel...none of the 4 of us in the room were ever awakened by a train. I will definitely stay here again :)

We booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at nearby Jiffy Lube Live. We had just been down in the area the prior weekend for a wedding. I would highly recommend this hotel for its proximity to Jiffy Lube Live (only about 1 mile away) but also for its location. Just off 29, 1/4 mile away from Interstate 66 and 1 mile away from Route 15. Lots of nearby stores and restaurants. Friendly front counter and our room was spotless. We booked the 2 Queen Suite which accommodated the 6 in our gro... Read more

Clean and modern property. Nice and professional staff. Clean rooms. Within walking distance of a great area for shopping and awesome restaurants. If your in the area there is a lot to do here. The shopping area is like a small town.

This is a great location! Nice shopping and restaurants within walking distance! Just over 1 mile to concert venue (very nice.) All of the staff were very friendly. Yes, this is located next to a train track, however, we got there a little earlier than check in and requested a room on the opposite end of the hotel, away from the tracks. They were able to put us pretty much in the middle (room number ended in 14) and we never heard them in the night and could barely hear them in the day. Th... Read more

When looking at other reviews on this site, I always throw out the ones that are all positive (I figure they are written by friends or owners of the hotel) and the 1 stars (I judge these people as chronic mal-contents) to get a "fair and balanced" idea of the true picture. And I really thank those contributors who help me determine where I want to stay in order to get the best value for my hard-earned money. As such, I always try to look for both good and bad and point them out to help others d... Read more
