We met family there and were very, very pleased. It is a nice, clean and friendly place to stay. It has workout equipment and an indoor pool. Also includes a variety of breakfast items as well. The room and beds were like being home as we all slept like babies. We would definitely return.

I travelled here the last week of April. Even though they didn't have the type of room we originally booked they bent over backwards to provide us with similar accommodations. We had two rooms instead of one and both were excellent. Quiet on both sides of the building. I faced the highway and heard nothing. I slept very well. Our breakfast was substantial and having good coffee or tea available all day is a great treat. We took a trip to the Luray caverns and it was a pleasant 30 minute drive fr... Read more

Staff are very friendly and helpful, even if sometimes things aren't going quite right. I wanted to use the pool, but it wasn't available due to lack of care with the chlorine. I'm sad about that. Hopefully they will be more organized next time.

No issues with the room or the any employee. Clean and quite stay. We did not use the pool or the exercise room so I can not speak on them. The only major issue I could see was the breakfast provided. This was sub par for a Hampton and think management should address this issue. Items were not available and the quality was not to what I would expect. I may look into another Hotel for this reason if I decide to visit the area again.

Stayed for 5 nights, staff was friendly and helpful. As usual Hampton was clean, rooms large, and the beds wonderfully comfortable. A guest laundry with two washers and dryers would be nice as families on long trips with children need to replenish clean clothes as they cross the country. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks Hampton. Always a solid choice at the end of a long day of driving.

Extremely nice place to stay. Be aware that there was a coupon in Travel Coupons magazine that you get at rest stops along the interstate, which will save you around a third of the cost. Breakfast eggs were a little on the dry and tasteless side.

The hotel concierge was very nice. He gave us tips on all the best coffee shops and restaurants. He also shared with us the history of the town name. We were able to purchase wine and beer from the concierge, which was a nice way to end the day. A good breakfast in the AM and we were well rested and back on the road.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn this past month for our daughter's graduation. Our time at the Hampton was very pleasant. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and so was the bedding. Room had a microwave and a small refrigerator which was very convenient. Breakfast was pretty good and they had quite a variety of items to choose from. We stayed here for one night before we entered the skyline driveway. We had a voucher for discounted stay for the visitor centre so the rate was low. From the moment we went to check in, this place impressed. Although a 'budget' hotel, the service was impeccable and the receptionist (Ted) was friendly, chatty and very helpful. We had a great, clean (big) quiet room and the facilities were all in good order and readily available. Breakfast was included and one of the best we'd experience with... Read more

Due to traveling, we were late bookers, mid week. Upon arrival we were assigned King suite #23 (lower level). It was right across from the pool and adjacent to the fitness center. The entire lower level smelled like bleach (chlorine for the pool). Because we arrived late and left early, we didn't experience any noise disturbance. ??? Our biggest complaint would be the missing light bulb in the bathroom ceiling and the black mold on the shower ceiling. ??

This hotel is conveniently located. We stay at least one week per month on business. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and a great value for the price. This hotel is commonly occupied by customs/federal agents. I feel this adds value to this hotel because it adds a security factor. On business or pleasure, I would recommend this hotel anytime.

I pulled in around 1230 am, incredibly tired and just hoping this Hampton had a room. The kind lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and I ended up with a great room, king bed, and a whirlpool. Everything was clean, and incredibly spacious. At one point my toilet did not work, and the front desk lady physically came down herself to assist. Very impressive. I visit family in the area two or three times a year. The staff has made me feel welcome, the great complimentary breakfast saves me time and money and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There's access to a big pool also. I keep coming back

Very satisfied with stay. Breakfast bar could have been better. The area was real nice. For the most part the front staff was very good. The breakfast was not great. The breakfast worker was not the friendliest

Like Hamptons Inns we have used before this one s=was clean and provided all basics. The hotel was quiet and location was near restaurants and historic areas of Front Royal. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially in finding nice places to eat other than the usual chain restaurants. Would stay here again.

If great customer service is a must for you, stay here. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I had no problems with my visit. My room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. I stayed on business, but wish I could have stayed longer.

I'm picky when it comes to choosing a hotel but I would definitely stay here again. Most important, it's clean, the water pressure is awesome and our room was quiet. We stayed in a king suite on the first floor. The front desk staff is awesome and digital check in is fast and easy.

Clean facilities, comfortable beds, breakfast was ok. We selected this hotel as we were on our way to the Shenandoah Park from DC. It offered 2 queen beds (and not double!) which is perfect for a family with 2 kids. Hotel is located next to the highway but it did not bother us at all.

Spent a night here while visiting Shenandoah National Park. Hotel is located close to the highway and the park. Hotel lobby and breakfast areas are nice. Breakfast itself was standard (eggs, cereal, fruits, bread, waffles etc.). Check in and check out were quick. Our party had reserved two rooms and the hotel was considerate enough to give us two joining rooms without asking, which was a nice surprise. Our room was clean and bedding was comfortable. The AC/Heater unit was very noisy a... Read more

In all the years of travel, we ALWAYS stay at Hampton due to their great service, friendliness, cleanliness and wonderful staff. We highly recommend this to our friends. We will be back. Thanks again.

Good, clean, modern Hampton less than an hour's drive from Dulles airport, with efficient staff and a pleasant buffet breakfast. Right next to the freeway junction, but road noise is muffled well. Reasonable choice of restaurants nearby. All good.

Stayed one night before driving down skyline drive. Perfectly situated for early morning getaway. Very functional hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We have stayed at numerous Hampton inns before and this one seems a throwback to almost 10 years ago. It's clean but the decor, flooring, bathrooms etc are in desperate need of redoing. It really does show its age!!!!

Hampton Inns in general are excellent for their clean, spacious rooms, and warm breakfasts. This location was no exception, and service was generally good, along with a spotless room. We did have some issues with the HVAC, and lightning in the room, that required repairs - and inconvenienced us. However, management took care of this issue, and listened very carefully to rectify these issues so they do not reoccur in the future. Considering it's proximity to the Shenandoah National Park along wit... Read more

At last! A bed and pillows a human being can actual sleep on! Hotel was clean, room was immaculate, Just across town is the start of the Skyline Drive. I hadn't packed a suit so I didn't check out the pool, but would have had I planned ahead. Couple nice restaurants in the strip mall just north of the hotel. Traffic in and out can be a bit problematic, but gas and Dunkin Coffee available without turning out onto the main highway.

We had a challenge getting to the hotel as we approached on US 340 from the Skyline Drive. We missed the entrance so we had to go up and turn right on the other side of I-66 to access a round about and come back. Surprised to find that yes indeed you go through the McDonalds parking lot to access the hotel. The hotel is a reliable Hampton inn with evening cookies and all. Initially, the reception staff seemed a little ill-humored but they warmed to the occasion and saved the day. Very conv... Read more

You probably won't find a lot of frills, and the complimentary breakfast is decidedly mediocre, but our room was clean and the price reasonable. Staff was friendly and professional. Location is convenient to the entrance to the Skyline Drive.

When we entered our room on the 4th floor, there was a loud, banging noise... called the front desk, who called maintenance - who said we couldn't stay there. Had to go back to the desk and get another room. Finally - we were able to go out and explore... Came back to the room - no shampoo. Next day - no toilet paper. Chair in our room was frayed and dingy looking. On the plus side - the bed and pillows were comfortable, the location was convenient for exploring the area and the breakfast w... Read more

Clean hotel, and friendly staff here. Regular Hampton inn type breakfast, nothing special, but well presented. The breakfast staff made sure to keep the items full. I had a problem w/the desk chair being busted when I got there. I told that to the dude at the front desk. He was great, by the time I checked out the pool and fitness center, he was on his way back up w/ a new work chair,

The hotel is an easy off and on from I-81. Our room was nice and comfortable and the hotel is well maintained. Our concern and maybe we just hit the place on an off night was the that the staff was less than personable and the breakfast was very sparse. Will we stop again maybe we'll see
