Walking into the room, you could smell the clean! We were surprised at the size of the room. We've stayed at more expensive places with rooms a third of the size of this one. A little niche behind the bathroom door had shelves for the coffeemaker, ice bucket, & glasses so you didn't have to waste counter or vanity space for them. Very nice. Bed was comfortable & cozy. Quick off & on to I-95.

A great Hampton Hotel, situated in a commercial area with dozens of restaurants and shops. Room clean and comfortable with all amenities, breakfast buffet included was very good. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. What more can you say it's another great Hampton Inn

Our family has stayed at many Hampton inns across the country. This was another high quality stay. The staff was very welcoming and treated us like royalty. My wife and I love their bedding and it's always a relief that we can rest assured we will get quality beds when choosing Hampton inns. Their free breakfast buffet is always a hit with a family of five. If I'm ever in the area again I will quickly choose this Hampton for a repeat stay.

I like staying at Hampton Inns as I generally have a good, consistent experience. This was no different. It was just a one night stay on a trip home. We had a room with two queen beds. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. As has been my experience with the chain, the bathroom was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was typical of a Hampton Inn and it meets our breakfast needs well. Given our short stay, I can't really comment on the service. Check in was easy and the staff wa... Read more

Excellent hotel and a great value in Virginia. We stayed here with a group of 8 during a recent motorcycle tour on our way to North Carolina. We had dinner at the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn, which was also clean and comforting. The rooms were very clean and the digital check in was great. The breakfast wasn't great but was more than sufficient as a continental breakfast. We would stay here again.

Stayed here for a night on our drive up from Florida to CT. Located in a really fun area with so many shops, restaurants and bars close by. Very clean rooms and great breakfast. Everyone from the man at the front desk to the lovely women doing breakfast were all very nice and professional. Will definitely be staying here again!

Hotel had no cable television. We were told it was a city wide outage but we went to a restaurant very close to hotel and their cable was working fine. They told us that it would come back on shortly and it never did come back on the entire time. Hard to sit in a hotel with no television.

We stayed here for one evening, and the hotel was a relatively new (or seemed to be) hotel. It is located behind a wonderful grocery store, Wegman's, that is worth experiencing! We especially appreciated the fact that the hotel had two foam pillows in our room when we arrived, per our request on our reservation.

Tried to book the Fredericksburg South but it was full. This hotel is in an area of a lot of sprawl but the hotel itself is tucked back in a quiet spot. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Had a party of 4 so asked for more towels and amenities right away. Breakfast was a little disappointing. They had an egg wrap instead of standard bacon and eggs. Bathroom was ok but the only place to hang a towel was under the sink. No hooks on the wall. Can't really put a bath towel there and have ... Read more

When I walked into the lobby I was ready to turn around ! Unfortunately I had already paid in advance . Lobby and other areas on the main floor under construction. . No attempt made to temporarily stage the area . Just guys slinging mortar, exposed metal studs !! Usually hotels offer a discounted rate for this . Instead I paid top dollar !! Breakfast was makeshift in s conference room , and sparce at best. Not even a stocked pantry for purchase!! I won't be back

Stayed at this hotel for one night over the weekend. Prior to booking I knew the hotel was under some construction in the lobby which really was not an issue. When I arrived the construction was going on in the lobby, a little loud, but really no issue. The breakfast in the morning was unaffected as the construction did not take place during that time. Clean, Friendly Staff, and comfortable bed but internet password did no work, complimentary breakfast is awful and we were not recognized as diamond members. I had to remind front desk. We were trying to drive from NJ to Florida through the night and failed. Got so sleepy during through South Carolina so my wife went on Trip Advisor and this hotel came up in the area and one of the best rated. So we finally found it. It's a little confusing to find. The price was right and I like Hampton Inn. The problem of had with this stay was the cigarette smoke odor in my nonsmoking room. I asked to move to another room. We travelled here with our soccer team and booked 10 rooms. The salesperson helped us book a room block and was helpful, responsive, and suggested solutions that were extremely convenient for booking our whole team. The hotel was under renovation construction at the time we stayed, yet we hardly knew it. Friendly accommodating staff. Very close to nearby shopping and restaurants. Based on reviews, I have no doubt this hotel is generally a pleasant place to stay, but we had the unfortunate experience of staying there during the middle of a huge renovation. For some intrepid travelers this would have posed no problem, but my husband suffers from severe asthma and the pervasive dust in the air was untenable. My standard hotel for business travel is the Hampton Inn chain, because they offer the best value for the money of any chain I have yet found. Free internet is important, as are the in-room fridge and microwave, working/eating surfaces in the room, etc. Unfortunately, THIS Hampton Inn is significantly lacking in all of these respects: -- The King bed was placed opposite the air conditioner, so that the cold air hit directly on the face and head of the sleeper. -- Astonishingly, given the price...
