Ive stayed at this hotel for a long time. And every time the front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always fresh and clean. My one biggest complaint is the breakfast that could use a little help. Over all i highly recommend

My family stayed in this Extended Stay during our visit to Washington D.C. It was at the end of the metro train's line so it took 45 minutes to get in on the train, but it was so nice to be out of the city at the end of the day. There are a ton of restaurants within a five mile radius including a Cheesecake Factory. The hotel did end up spitting our family into two rooms instead of one because another family that was using the double decided to stay longer. It worked out better for us becaus... Read more

Thirteen years ago, this is the hotel where most of our family stayed when they came for our wedding. We needed a room there at the last minute yesterday, and were appalled. The linoleum floor in the kitchenette and bathroom was so horribly sticky we had to keep our shoes by the bed all night so we didn't walk on it in stocking feet. There were no glasses or plates in the cupboards. Even though it was a non-smoking room, the bedding smelled of stale smoke, as did the bathroom sink. It seems app... Read more

Light closest to the bed was not working. Even though room is efficiency, there were no dishes, utensils, or pots, including a coffee pot. Only good thing about this room, is that they allow smoking. Just because you smoke, you shouldn't have to settle for a second class room.

well the place is very well placed right at the fair oaks mall and close to many good eating joints. so that is a plus. But it was really unusual to have absolutely ZERO housekeeping at the cost we were paying. they have a housekeeping every 6 days policy. so though we stayed there for 5 nights, we had none. Also i found it unusual that they did not even want to pick the dirty dishes up and simply provided us with a dishwasher soap and made us do our own dishes! did not even provide fresh dishe... I like this hotel because it is at Fair Oaks Mall and has easy public transportation access. I do not need to rent a car or depend on others. I like having the ability to rent a room that allows one to smoke in the room.

Absolutely disgusting. Awful odor in the reception and front desk area; even worse in the room. Items that are advertised and supposed to be available for checkout (I. e., coffee pot) are non existent; pots and pans are left in the hallway for hours. Not even a wash cloth available. Coffee is advertised for guests through 9 am, however, coffee was not available after 8:15 am. Back to the horrible smell - found a bag of Kale stuffed in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator that was well beyond th... Read more

If you use a hotel as part of your travel experience this hotel may not be for you. No pool or exercise room is on site. However if you need a clean safe updated localation near to mall and Starbucks that saves you hundreds on hotel costs This is a great choice. The staff is well trained and there were no issues that arose that were not handled quickly and effectively. Available for extended stays at reduced rates.

My entrance to the facility foreshadowed my stay. I walked up to the front desk which was unattended. For several minutes I just stood there as there was no bell or way to alert staff that I was there. After approximately 5 minutes a young man came out from the room behind the desk. His full attention was on a text he was writing. I waited patiently for him to finish so that I could be helped, he finished his text and without looking up turned to go back into the laundry area behind the desk. A... Read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the problem was the room itself. Only smoking rooms were available. Room stank so bad of cigarette smoke we went through two bottles of air freshener. Bed spreads were stained, blankets had burns, cabinets had food from previous guests, and there was food/garbage behind the bed which we found while trying to fix the phone that did not work. We killed a couple of roaches in the kitchen as well. Continental breakfast was a few items placed on a bureau in... Read more

This hotel was a horror show. The front desk clerk was friendly enough but the front desk was messy and when we went to our room it was obvious someone had been in there sitting on the bed and there was hair in the bathroom sink. As we were asking to put us in another room a man behind us compaining about a party going on next door to him and the overall poor condition of the hotel. He showed us another room that looked no better than the first and we asked for our money back. He said no, and we... Read more

I found the rooms in this hotel to be pretty clean and organised. Clean linens can be collected daily from the customer service downstairs. All the rooms have a Recliner chair which is quite good for relaxing If you don't wanna lie down. They also provide utensils so that's really helpful If you anyone wants to cook there own meal by themselves in peace in the room. All the rooms do have a refrigerator and a microwave, so that also helps a lot. Also, there's Bank of America, Fair Oaks Mall and S... Read more

We (me plus 7 co-workers) stayed in several rooms here for ten days and although I read some bad reviews just before leaving home, the hotel wasn't nearly as dreary as the worst reviews indicated, considering it's a budget, extended stay facility. Disappointments: No kitchen gear available at check in; room was not cleaned automatically after one week (had to ask),one burner on the stove didn't work, fridge leaked water on the kitchen floor, kitchen floor was sticky (like in a movie theater) ... We arrived late at night and it took a good 15 minutes to check in; we had reserved a non smoking king sized room and requested one on the second floor since I am 37 weeks pregnant. We were told none were available on the first floor. After hauling out luggage to the second floor - up cigarette littered stairwells - we walked into a room that reeked of smoke (despite being non smoking) and clearly had not been cleaned. So we hauled all of our things back down stairs and went back to reception... Read more

I got to the lobby and was greeted by a kid named Niran. He can barely speak English, first of all. He was disrespectful and not helpful at all. I asked to speak to the manager because he clearly isn't one, and said he wasn't there. This hotel is run by poor management, and poor employees. Do not come here. There's another Extended Stay literally up the street and they are so much better. I went there instead and they were so nice and got me into a room. Stay away from this hotel.

I checked in October 11 and checked out the next day. I work here in fairfax and have a long commute back home to culpeper after I'm off late in the evenings. One reason I stay here is because it's affordable and the second is the front desk person. She is so sweet, helpful, professional and at least I can understand clearly what she is saying unlike two other gentleman who have checked me in before and were so rude and had no class at all. The breakfast is nice and simple and I always get a goo... Read more

I've been here a few times before and have had good experiences. I usually do at the Extended Stay America locations I've stayed at. Upon check-in I was greeted by the woman behind the desk. She easily found the reservation I'd made and within five minutes the check-in process was complete. The room I stayed in was clean, everything worked and the bed was very comfortable. I had no issues. I like the area of this location because it is right across from Fair Oaks Mall [I walked there easily dur... Read more
