This property lives up to the Marriott Courtyard brand. Recently renovated interiors, everything appears new. Friendly staff, quiet room, nice pillow selections. Sign up for Marriott rewards for best price and free breakfast and Starbucks's coffee. Price likely varies by season, so book early. Easy drive to GMU and DC. Don't confuse this Courtyard with the nearby Marriott hotel.

Staff were all so friendly and caring, it was really impressive for a hotel at this level. I've stayed at luxury properties where I didn't feel as welcomed as I did here! Highly recommended for anyone traveling to this area. Keep up the good work!

Yes , We needed a room for a concert in small venue about a week before. And yes, we knew it would be $200 plus for 1 nite. BUT, an air conditioner made noise all nite. Coffee and breakfast that was $20 plus. And Managers who could not look you in eye and tell you why. The only people working for us were the house maids who work hard to make sure our rooms were clean. Felt like CORPORATION had stolen money from us....NO MORE !! We are staying at Stafford House for now on when we visit which is 3... Read more

I stayed here in early May 2016 for a business trip. Hotel was very clean and updated and staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice large flat screen tv. Breakfast isn't cheap but it was good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was spacious and the staff was professional, friendly and always courteous. The NRA Museum was within walking distance, and the metro station was easily reached by cab. Unfortunately, we left several items of clothing, which were mailed soon after we left.

There is a reason why I only stay in Marriott Courtyard properties when I travel. Staff is uber friendly and helpful. Large computer area in main lobby. Bistro staff aim to please with everything. the rooms are in excellent condition and recently updated, but not plush. Towels are thin and cheap and toiletries are sparse. But the mattresses are wonderful. My request for a feather free room was cheerfully met even though I arrived a day early. Would definitely return!

Our family stayed in June 2016. Room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Pool was well maintained. Nice to have the cafe on-site. Courtyard and common area of lobby were inviting. Would stay again.

We were treated by the cutest receptionist, Bridget who was so enthusiastic and welcoming. Our room was perfect as we had requested a top floor. Since it is an older hotel property with renovations, the rooms are really quite sound-proof so every night was such a restful, peaceful sleep. Colin, at the front desk the next morning, explained the breakfast that was included in our room package at the Bistro restaurant. Breakfast is not usually included in the room fare. Each day for breakfast, eve... Read more

Returned to this hotel based on many great experiences over the past three years. The staff are always on the top of their game in making one feel welcome and appreciated. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I always choose to eat at the hotel's food counter and have always been warmly served by the staff.

I recently stayed at this hotel for work. From the time I checked in until my departure, the entire staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Some of the nicest staff I've encountered. The hotel lobby is clean and bright, no problems checking in, and the room was spotless. Modern furnishings, comfortable bed, and great water pressure in the shower. The room was quiet and comfortable.

This hotel is only 5 minutes drive from George Mason university and is a modern nicely kept hotel . it has its own in house eating and bar but there are also 2 or 3 places to eat and drink within 10 minutes walking distance . there is also a Giant supermarket next door so you can grab your own snacks for the room if needed. Very quite location , nice courtyard and they do keep spending money on the place to keep it modern

This hotel was gorgeous. I could not believe we got this room for the price we paid. The only downside was they do not give you anything free for breakfast. You have one cup of coffee in your room. I had to ask for another cup for my husband. Besides that it was awesome.

We've stayed at this location before without problems, this visit had some issues. Upon entering the room there was a strong disinfectant aroma. One of the knobs on the bathroom sink was wonky, obviously had been repaired recently. After using it a couple times the knob disconnected and cold water had to be turned on and off using the valve beneath the sink. Floor of walk-in shower surrounded by a line of pink mold. Prior to checking out toilet stopped flushing. Trays put out by guests previous ... Read more

I stay at Marriotts exclusively (lifetime platinum) so I feel I have adequate experience when it comes to making hotel reviews. This is a typical older Courtyard that had the Bistro facelift and some minor room updates. I'm ok with the hotel amenities and location. My issue was with the staff, I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling at check in or check out. They offer the extra point bonus when you choose not to have your room cleaned and I always take advantage of it. On this stay, I called to t... Read more

Nice, clean, comfortable rooms, good location. The staff is very polite, friendly and professional. The grounds, rooms, pool and public areas were in pristine condition. Only minor complaints: no fan in the bathroom,

My husband and I were in town visiting friends and had booked the Courtyard by Marriott online prior to our stay. We found our room clean and comfortable with up to date furnishings. There is a refrigerator in the room (its very small) but no microwave which is fine as we didn't need one. The amenities are Paul Mitchell brand - kudos for that. The front desk staff was gracious and timely. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Our second floor room was peaceful and we enjoyed our stay.

This was a 3 night business stay. The location is fairly good, but along a rather busy road. It is next door to a grocery store, so buying staple items or a quick meal is easy. It appears like an older property that has received a facelift - Bistro added, lobby updated etc. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I like the Bistro - there are some less expensive options for a quick meal. The inside courtyard was a nice place to sit for bit. I would return here.

Visiting family in Alexandria and get a better deal here than the Marriott's there. We were able to check in early and park our RV at the back of the good size parking lot. The hotel is next door to a grocery store which was handy. It's on a busy road (Hwy 50) but road noise was not an issue. The hotel had an indoor pool but unfortunately we had no time to use it. Room was comfortable and we had 2 great nights sleep. Friendly staff too. It was convenient having the Bistro on site but it is rathe... Read more

I would just like to recognize someone who's position is well overlooked as she works the night audit and doesn't have much interaction with guests to make an impression BUT she made a HUGE impression to me. Thank you Tiffany for helping me and my son so late at night. I believe strongly in the Marriott standard and it is VERY important to me especially as an employee of the company myself.. She was absolutely perfect. I hope she continues to stay with the company in the future because she would... Read more
