We stay at this property a lot when visiting our son stationed at Quantico. Most of the time the visit is wonderful and we love being here however this wasn't the best trip. The man at the front desk wasn't very friendly and when we asked questions he seemed like he either had no idea or it was a bother for him to help. However, that wasn't my biggest issue, the housekeeping service on Saturday was terrible. We had a double room and used both beds, the attendant made one bed but left the other ... Read more

front desk could not be more helpful. I wanted to check in earlier than 3pm and the person who checked me in made it happen even though they were fully booked. Not the most modern rooms but clean, quiet.

Close to Quantico, close to the interstate and shopping and restaurants. First Time in this location and I will try to stay here the next time I come here. The room was clean and quiet and I was able to get a good nights rest for work the next day. The staff was friendly and very helpful with getting me to my room and checking me out the following day.

We wanted to have a stay-cation with our family and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel! The room was comfortable and plenty big enough, the staff was friendly, the hot breakfast tasted great, and the indoor pool was a hit with the kids!

Good location near Quantico. I wouldn't use it as a base to travel around the area because the traffic up and down 95 is a nightmare. But if you are visiting Quantico, Dumphries, or the state parks it is ideal. If you're going to Fredericksburg, stay in Fredericksburg. Same with Arlington. Beds were good, A/C ran cold, room was clean, pool was good sized and clean. Great breakfast selection for a Hampton and the breakfast lady was a hard worker. Close to gas stations and a mile from Targe... Read more

I have stayed here several times in the past 5 years(Business and Leisure). The service is excellent and the rooms are always clean! The hotel is situated in an ideal location with very easy access from and to Interstate 95. It is far enough away from it that traffic will not disturb your sleep.

Upon arriving, check-in was easy. Getting to our room, not as easy. Back door near elevators has a poorly set ramp. While getting our luggage out of our car, the door would not work with our key cards, we put a thermos in the door to hold it. I turned and immediately fell after twisting my ankle on the ramp and fell on my butt. Our room was nice and spacious and I was very tired after driving the night before. I was napping slightly on the couch when all of a sudden, the fire alarm went off in o... Read more

Stayed here on Hilton points and got very kind helpful treatment from the staff. Hotel was very clean so kudos to Housekeeping. Very close to the interstate, but no car noise. The frontage road exit was not intuitive, but we found our way out by going right at hotel exit, to the stop sign, left and then left at the light.

We stayed at this hotel when we went to a NFL game in the area. When we tried to check in we were told to wait in breakfast area. We were told the person at the desk had to check a couple more rooms to make sure they were clean before she could get to us. There was another employee there that could have easily checked us in. Room was clean, breakfast next day good. Just didn't get off to a good start when we walked in.

Overall it was a good experience with no complaints. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. In addition, it is in a good location with plenty of restaurants. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to get on 95 in order to go to a restaurant or get gas etc. I did not eat breakfast so I will not give my opinion on quality or service. As well, I did not use the amenities as I was there on business and time was very limited.

This hotel is the better of the ones around. Due to all hotels being sold out In the DC area I chose this hotel and it served its purpose. Nothing special but I will say the beds were pretty comfy. It was slightly pricey for the area and there is not much to do in this area. There is a decent little Mexican restaurant within walking distance and uber does work In the area! Overall I give it a good rating.

We choose this hotel because we wanted to stay south of the DC area. It's very nice and conveniently located just off of I95. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We paid one-half of what a similar hotel was in DC and we had free parking!

We held our family reunion at this hotel. There were 14 rooms booked and we used the meeting room to hold our event. The staff was excellent!! So helpful and went out of there way to help our out of town guests find places in the area. The rooms were clean and neat. Kids loved the pool. Anyone looking to hold an event in this area should definitely consider the Hampton Inn/Dumfries. We have a wedding coming up next year and will definitely use the Hampton Inn for out of town guests.

We have stayed here 2 years in a row on our way to and from our beach vacation in the Outer Banks. It's our halfway point. Conveniently located, friendly staff, very clean rooms and facilities. Complimentary breakfast is always very good and fresh food is readily refilled. Safe area for traveling with children. Gas station right next door for filling up and grabbing some snacks before turning in for the night.

First, why am I staying at a Hampton Inn in Dumfries, VA? We used this as a home base for exploring north eastern Virginia as a family getaway. It worked very well for us. The location is excellent. Just off I-95 and within striking distance of many eateries. Everything you could need is within a couple of miles. The room was excellent. It was one of the largest rooms with two queen beds that I've ever stayed in that wasn't a suite. We had plenty of room to handle luggage for four. The room ha... Read more

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend. Rooms and public areas are very clean and well maintained. Even though there were many groups of children and athletic teams staying here, it was remarkably quiet in the evening. A nice breakfast is served although a bit chaotic on the weekend. Definitely a comfortable place to stay when heading north or south on I-95.

Great location to family and shopping. Close to a commuter lot. Did not use the pool or hot tub but they were both available. Did have the breakfast. It's the usual waffle, scrambled eggs, bacon, next day Egg McMuffin and ham. There was oatmeal, muffins, banana bread, and usual breads. Did have a nice bowl of fresh fruit.

We first went to Holiday Inn but they were booked and referred us to the Hampton Inn. They were really nice, I was happy all around. The bed was super comfortable, we had a couch with a pull out in our room and a really clean nice big bathroom with alot of towels. The room had plenty of outlets and lighting was sufficient. The breakfast was typical (eggs, waffle, cereal, fruit, breads).and was replenished when needed.
