I stayed twice at the Embassy Suites on this trip. The first stay was OK-ish. Found some strands of hair on my bed and requested to have the linnen changed. The new linnen was still not really crisp, but at least there was no hair anymore on my bed. The second stay started with waiting for almost one hour at the airport shuttle stop. Not exactly a pleasant experience as the day was windy. Called the hotel and was told that the shuttle was "on its way". After realising that other hotel shuttles ... Read more

I was traveling on business with family and based on the reviews I chose this hotel. I would not chose this hotel again. Pros: The staff was attentive, helpful, and accommodating. There was a free breakfast buffet with option for some made-to-order items and free limited selection alcohol and snacks in the evening. Cons: place had a general rundown feel. Found dirty sock in our room, guest chair had metal protruding which we hurt ourselves on, shuttles were really dated, showed lots of wear... Read more

Stayed there for 5 days and the evening reception menu never varied. The drinks were good and the bartender was friendly. Breakfast was good but staff was not friendly in the breakfast area. Rooms were spacious but dark. Housekeeping attentiveness varied day to day. Be sure to check your bill several individuals traveling with me had errors.

You get what you expect here and then some. The free breakfast has more than other chains of this caliber. Standouts were eggs with scallions, tomatoes and spinach in addition to the plain eggs. Decent coffee too! A bit of wear on the carpet in my room was a negative, as was a low water pressure shower but the styling here is modern and quite solid.

This is the third time I have used the hotel for business travel and flights using Dulles Airport. Everyone I have encountered from the shuttle driver, desk Attendants to restaurant staff is friendly and genuinely want to make your stay memorable. I stay in one to three hotels a week so it's unusual that a hotel stands out unless it's for a negative reason. But this hotel and the friendliness of their staff and the condition of the hotel makes a positive impression. Also the evening and mornin... Read more

We had a great stay and a very good breakfast. We were awakened at 7 am by a fire alarm that we found to be a false alarm. Everyone went into the hall in our PJ's and waited. Fire trucks came and alarm was turned off. That was one rude alarm. Glad it was a false alarm. Room was clean and slept the 5 of us well. We did the sleep and fly package and left our car for the week. Only complaint was that it took over half an hour to come pick us up after we called. And then we had to go... Read more

The condition of the bathrooms is always a good test of how clean a place is and mine was spotless. Front desk was very helpful and they did their best to provide information on local restaurants. For us, it was especially nice this time because we used their "Park & Fly" program (might be called something different) which allowed us to leave our car in their lot for several weeks for an overseas trip with no extra charge over that for the hotel room.

In past years, over 10 years, the evening manager's special provided nice food-- like chicken wings, etc-- now it is just rabbit food. The hotel is relatively convenient to Dulles airport- free parking and free wifi and nice breakfast.

This is our second stay in this hotel in a month - we love the hotel but wonder how they decide if they have availability and how they decide what to charge for the stay??? We normally stay with family when in Ashburn Va but my husband shattered his heal and can't do stairs so we had to find a hotel - when we got in Friday night we were told everything was full for the entire 4 days -however reservations were available online - ?? Hotel stay was equally as horrible this time compared to the last time we stayed here two months ago when our stay was perfect (mind you we didn't have an early checkin nor did we eat breakfast during that stay)... CONS: HORRIBLE housekeeping staff. My family arrived early at 11 AM from a a nearly 24 hour international flight. Despite notifying the hotel staff about the early arrival and them stating they would accomodate the request, the housekeeping staff went out of their way to not have ou... Read more

Be careful of this hotel and its staff, they have no respect for customer privacy! They moved all my clothing and personal items to a new room while I was gone during the day without ANY prior notification AND without my consent! I felt extremely violated! Hilton Hotels has lost a long time customer.

Stayed here for launching point from flight in to touring the DC Mall. Easy access to nearby highways and easy to find from the airport. Got to arranged tours on the mall on time with no issues. By the way, using a parking reservation service is the way to go for finding easy DC daily parking.

I could not get the Wi-Fi to work properly even though I am a HH member. The free AT&T Wi-Fi was horrible and I had to use my own hotspot instead. The house keeping did not come to clean my room on one of the days even though I specifically told the front desk person to make sure they did. The TV in the bedroom did not work properly. Some of the channels would not work properly and by the end of the trip the entire TV went out. I complained to the front desk, person on 3 separate occasions,... Read more

We've stayed at Embassy Suites before, this is by far the best as far as the quality of the room, the friendliness of the staff, the helpfulness of the staff, and the value for the money. This hotels should be looked at as a leader in setting standards. We've stayed in other hotel brands, some costing close to three times as much, this was by far the best we've stayed in in a very long time.

Will stay again, location close for the purpose, but not close to major malls. Is fairly close to the airport. Must have a car to really get around. There a a few toll booths as well. I do, however, like the layout of the hotel. Went to a private brunch and therefore cannot give comment on breakfast. I like the suite set up when there is more than one person in the room. However, I paid for a king bed and was given a double and charged a little more without notice. NOT GOOD!

I stayed here on business, but got little business done trying to use their wi-fi. There is more data center capacity within a 5 miles radius of this place than anywhere else on earth. And they can't even offer a decent wi-fi connection. Other than that, it's a typical Embassy Suites.

The room was a good size. However, the bathroom was not very clean and there was rust around the tub overflow drain - unsightly. The food is always great; our breakfast made-to-order omelettes were wonderful and the coffee was great. Good variety of other breakfast foods.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our room - one of the pillowcases had some stain on it that was unpleasant. The bed skirt on the bed was very, very dirty with lots of stains and dirt. The sink in the bathroom had no stopper in it. The shower curtain was moldy. The breakfast was very good - great made to order omelets. Don't plan on staying here again though - just felt the room wasn't real clean.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton was perfect for the last night of our trip home. It is adjoined with the Embassy Suites, which is also very nice, but a little bit more expensive. Read a bunch of reviews and was extremely hesitant to book this hotel. I would have preferred the Tysons Corner location to this one because members of the family are extremely sensitive to smoke, and as it has already been reported - this hotel allows smoking. But Tysons Corner was much higher in price, and charges for parking, so I figured that one night couldn't hurt. No smoke smell in the room when I arrived. Big plus! With a wedding ceremony and reception in Bluemont, the Embassy (and adjacent Homewood) was a great place for family and friends to stay. The staff were accommodating to a number of requests, and they truly made us all feel welcome. Facilities are very nice, and there is a small selection of restaurants next door. Wegmans grocery and Target are nearby, and for guests flying in or out of Dulles the airport shuttle is quite convenient. Highly recommend!

I have stayed many times at this property because of its proximity to my work there. Of the last 5 stays this was the first that was, happily, nearly without incident. The worst part of this is that the General Manager has never every responded to my concerns and that the same problems cropped up time after time. Breakfast is unexceptional, to say the least. But there is very little wait for omelettes and freshly prepared eggs. That being said, it is generally clean, safe, and quiet.

I enjoy staying at Embassy Suites because they offer more room, breakfast to order and all the amenities one needs. This one has an exercise room, an indoor pool, a business center and a large, open area seating place to meet others in the atrium. While sitting next door (& connected by an indoor walkway) to the Hilton Homewood Suites Hotel, the Embassy is a cut above and much larger with its 6 floors.
