Very convenient and clean. Appreciate that breakfast is included. No hidden fees. Easy to make online reservations. Just right for that quick overnight stop on a trip down I95. Have stayed here a few times and never had a problem.

From property upkeep, late night check in, bed quality, nice gym and food quality at breakfast, this offers the consistent experience I expect when staying at Hampton Inns. There is a restaurant around the corner if you don't feel like driving for food, or you can get snacks at the gas station or in the snack machine. I stuck to the apples and tea that they keep out.

I was in town for a work trip, and I booked this hotel based on trip advisor reviews. The lobby and breakfast area are modern and recently renovated. Coffee and tea were available around the clock. Their hot breakfast was always delicious... I usually have a hard time because I have a wheat allergy, but there was no issue here! Despite the room being a little dated, it was extremely clean. I really enjoyed my stay here and would be happy to visit again!

When attending Blue Grass Festivals in the area we always stay at the Hampton Inn in Chester as the quality is always excellent. However, this stay the food wasn't up to par. There was no meat with the Saturday breakfast. Not a game changer.

The staff is friendly and the rooms are always clean. I stay here many times during the year for business and they are very consistent with their service. The only downside in my opinion would be the pillows. They are very thin so if you like a firm, full pillow you might want to bring your own.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Staff was very attentive and polite. It's an older Hampton Inn, but it has been maintained and updated and is very clean and comfortable. I needed a late checkout and they were very accommodating. Great breakfast, internet was fast. Overall highly recommend this hotel if you find yourself in the area. Right off I-95 with several restaurant options nearby.

We had an excellent stay here. From the greeting at the front desk from both the evening and the day reception desk to the regular staff, we were made to feel at home. The room was spotless. We had a maintenance problem and it was taken care of in minutes. The morning breakfast was fresh and appealing. We are looking forward to our return.

I travel to the Chester area for business. The hotel is located just a mile from where I work out of. There are several other hotels in the area to choose from. Since my first stay I have not had any issues and will continue to return when they have openings

Nice staff. Clean and quiet hotel. The room was nice. The bed was to firm for my taste and I agree with the other reviewers the pillows were a tad small. The breakfast was what you expect with a Hampton Inn with a nice variety.

Had a great stay with fantastic service and friendly staff. The location was in a great spot close to all the places we wanted to visit including the Pocahontas State Park and the Winery. The restaurant choices were also enjoyable and worth the visit.

This location remains a very good hotel selection for our family who have stayed at this location several times over the last 15 years. Our room was very clean and modern with a reasonable amount of room to move around. We needed the fridge, but disappointed to discover that despite front desk directions on how to turn it on, the morning resulted in still-warm drinks from a unit that never worked. (This was the first time this has happened though.) I would suggest providing an outlet near the de... Read more

The front desk staff at the Hampton Inn in Chester, VA are great - especially Nikki and Greg! Room was great and the overall staff was the best! If staying in Richmond area, you are crazy not to stay at the Chester, VA Hampton Inn. The best staff and location!

Such a great, friendly staff. I traveled to this area for business, so I do not focus so much attention on how nice the room is. Not saying the room is not a nice room as it has all I need and everything within the room is nice, but it's the staff that makes you feel like family.

Location and cleanliness of hotel was great always impressed with all Hampton Inn properties and what they have to offer and would not only recommend this property but all other Hampton inn properties.

Room met expectations, a little small but clean. Free breakfast adequate. Breakfast space is small and they could not keep up with cleaning tables. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. No roll away beds but they have huge queen sized air beds that are very nice.

This hotel was halfway point to Wilmington, NC. Checked in by friendly manager, Caitlin David, and she was extremely gracious when I asked to change to another room due to musty odor and poor A/C. 2nd room was clean and smelled fresh. Very comfortable bed, the usual bathroom amenities were provided. We appreciated the list of local restaurants with direction provided by Ms. David. We were impressed with the breakfast selection and the attractive breakfast room. We'd definitely stay there again.

The Staff and accommodations are always. We loved the bed so much we purchased one for our home. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Best breakfast love the waffles! Also when traveling I love that the Hampton Inns are so close to major highways.

This is our second time staying here on a trip to Disney World. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is very good. The man working beyond the counter was extremely helpful and nice. We love the convenience of the hotel as well. Very easy drive on and off highway and also very close to stores. All in all another great night here. Would recommend to anyone and will stay here again!

My review isn't a reflection on the staff at all. We usually stay at Hampton Inns if possible. There is NO odd. The reception desk is BEHIND the breakfast area. We have actually used the lobby of other hotels to watch TV while waiting for family members, etc. They are usually very comfortable and inviting. The breakfast area was also extremely small and difficult to navigate with other guests. The outdoor pool is NOT ONSITE. Very odd....An uphill walk to another hotel. Not con... Read more

The hotel lobby was very nice and clean. The staff very pleasant. My room, non-smoking King on the first floor was clean and the bed just as comfortable as I needed it to be. The only real issue, however, was the room had a bit of a stale smell, and the bathroom was outdated for this brand. The doors close fairly hard, and make a lot of noise when someone is trying to sleep. The staff, however were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. I'd return despite those issues for that level of ser... Read more

Rooms were as expected, service was very good. everything worked well. The shower should have had a handheld unit along with the wall. I recommend the Delta Int2ition. But we all come for the breakfast. It was great. We used HHonors points. Should have been 10,000 rather than 20,000 because the pool was not heated.

Check your credit card charges, my room was $139 plus taxes, came to $157, rented two rooms. Looked at pending charges on credit card, paid cash for one, before he put the other one on credit card, but on credit card is the one room for $157, and two other charges for $181.55, this is a hotel, not Trump Towers, not happy.

This is the second time we stayed at this Hampton and it has all of the typical attributes of a Hampton Inn, well run, clean rooms and common areas, great breakfast, and helpful staff. The one comment I would like to make is that I thought our room was small and the bathroom tight compared to other Hamptons. Other then that, it is a very nice place to stay.

Late night last minute stop over. Our 2d stay here. Room was clean, staff was friendly, comfortable bed. The breakfast attendant was friendly and kept the area clean and stocked. The reasonable room rate compensated for the lack of breakfast selections and outdated bathroom. Would stay again.

Great staff but hotel not up to the standards of what Hampton Inn standards should be. The hotel halls and elevator felt old and grimy but, the room was very clean however, the bathroom was ridiculously small. It felt like a cheap hotel.

If you are looking for a clean place to sleep for 1-2 nights, this is a good place to stay. We stayed on the floor- there are only 2 floors. The rooms are small, but doable for a 4. Easy access to restaurants & I95, it is quiet, with a scenic woodsy view. The hotel needs to be updated, but it is very clean & the staff is very professional & courteous. The hotel doesn't have a big gym or swimming pool. But what they do have are clean rooms and a really friendly staff who are incredibly helpful and pleasant to be around. I was there for 2 weeks and got to know several of the workers on the cleaning staff as well as the front desk. They are the reason I will be staying here next time in the area. I was working in Ft. Lee and will choose to stay in Chester because of the staff here. Great place for the money in my opinion.

High price was not worth it. Dated rooms. Air conditioner loud enough to wake you up through the night. Stains on furniture. Made to wait at check in for 10 minutes for somebody on the phone. The low quality experience was far less than Hampton standards.
