We were northbound and wanted to spend the next to last night on the road in a nice place. We looked around and found this hotel. $91/night for a queen suite. Compared to other hotels, this was a bargain, even for much lower quality properties. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The bathroom was very clean. Best as expected from Hampton Inn. We always try to stay at Hampton Inns and are always happy with the experience. I would be hard pressed to find anything negative about this stay, and would recommend it to anyone.

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the last month and each of my visits have been Awesome!! On the business card of the General Manager, Rachel McCracken, she has in her title - Director of Positive Mojo. You can definitely see this Positive Mojo throughout her entire team. staff was very friendly and accomidating, room was very clean and comfy, and the breakfast very fulfilling. Driving access to and from the hotel was a breeze evntho it didn't quite seem it would be since it sits on a major highway. The children loved the pool experience!! I would definitely return for future getaways, and also recommend to family & friends.

I did not have to worry about a thing. The staff were wonderful, especially Rachel and Matt!!! The cleaning staff were very nice and did a knock out job, it was like going back to a brand new room each day. The hotel was very clean, as well as my room. If I needed anything all I had to do was ask, and it was delivered with a smile. I will be sure to stay here again.

This was a fine Hampton, except getting in and out of it. Since it is on a four-lane road, you have to find turn around spots to go in "the other direction". There were several restaurants within walking distance, so we chose to do that, especially since the hotel gave us a coupon for one of them. The pool and hot tub were fine. Simply a great hotel, I've stayed there twice and never had an issue. The staff was great and inviting. The pool was enjoyed by my family. The continental breakfast was great along with the complementary coffee that was available throughout the day. I felt safe and secure during my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a place to stay in the Chesapeake, VA area.

We stayed in the area for a family event. Location is close to many chain restaurants and shops. With respect to the hotel amenities, our kids enjoyed the pool and my husband and I were able to take advantage of the gym. Rooms are clean and beds were comfortable. Convenient to have microwave and refrigerator with the kids.

I am not a pet owner so I wish they had rooms that they only use for guest that bring pets. I also wish they don't use vacuums used in pet occupied rooms in rooms not occupied by pets. However, other than this issue, this is a great place to stay. The staff is kind and understanding and very accommodating. I really loved the on site laundry facilities which meant I did not have to was clothes when I returned home.

Convenient location, great staff, and room. Traveled with my 90 year old mother on a walker and the handicap accessible room was perfect! Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The room was great. The queen beds were very comfortable, but the pullout bed was not so comfortable for the young girls who slept on it. The breakfast was very good. A lot of variety and healthy options.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights, but prior to arrival there was some room reservation issues with the front desk staff. I called to verify my reservations and was told I did not have a room reserved. The breakfast selection could have been different. The other Hampton that we stayed the same week had a better breakfast variety.

Our family stops in this area on our way to the Outer Banks. The traffic in the area right now is horrible but we were greeted warmly on a very rainy night. Good location for access to family restaurants.

Very friendly check-in, I think it was Lindsay? Clean room, big room on top floor. Shower head very tall, which is always great for a tall person. Quiet hotel. Plenty of shopping and restaurants near by.

The hotel was right off the highway with many food options close by. It was a little worn in but pretty clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately for us it was very busy with a large family reunion, spill over from a softball tournament, and many large families headed to the beach. We have a small black lab that travels with us. In the past there was no charge for us. Now they want $75. Glad I checked before our next stay. Hope they loose all kinds of business. There are many hotels in the area that allow pets to stay for free or charge a small modest fee.

We stayed here with out kids and dogs on the way to OBX. The hotel and rooms were very nice. We appreciate that they accept dogs, but could have used some trash cans around the outside of the building where the dogs are walked. I enjoyed the hotel. The staff were very helpful. We had a child with us who accidentally spilled some hot chocolate twice on the way back to the room. The staff were immediately there to clean it up before I was able to start getting it clean. The pool/hot tub was cleaned every day. The staff were attentive to ensuring that the hotel was clean and we were greeted any time we walked by the front desk.

Stopped here on the way to our final vacation destination. Kids wanted to go swimming but pool was closed with a two hour wait time. Front staff was well we had to add chemicals? Shouldn't they do that durring closed hours, I would think that would be practice. Maybe we hit them on off day or someone had accident in there don't know kids disappointed! My stay was ok-. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel and its amenities. "It's A-ok, for a Chesapeake stay! A young man helped me every night -that was very nice. Not much more to say-didn't stay in the hotel room too much. I hope they will offer a shuttle service that will service areas within a 20-25 mile radius. That would be great.

Nice Size King Studio Suite. Next time I visit the Chesapeake/Virginia Beach Area, I will stay here again. The location is close enough to get to the Beach, Restaurants, and Other attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious and clean, and suited our needs well. We had a total of 2 adults, 3 children, and 1 small dog in the room. The breakfast was average. The waffle maker was good, but the fruit was limited to a small bowl for a large number of guests. We also had a problem with noise in the room next door. It took 3 phone calls to the front desk over a 90 minute period for the staff to quiet the situation.

Lipstick on towels, stains on towels, wall paper peeling, hairs on the bathroom floor at check in, old fruit at breakfast, spotty internet and the Pool and Jacuzzi didn't look like it has been treated. This hotel is location in a location that has access to retail and limited decent restaurants. The staff were not engaged and provided marginal service. Cleaning staff was particularly disappointing. Very noisy property and cleaning staff were very noisy and extremely slow. Not a typical Hampton Inn.

On our way to North Carolina, my wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn, using our accumulated points. Check in was simple and the receptionist at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable. I was a little disappointed with the Hilton brand for the quality of this hotel. Although the staff was very friendly my room was not Hilton expectations. My toilet didn't flush, the tv kept shutting off, and the coffe maker was kept in the bathroom.

We stayed there for one night since I was attending the Suffolk Mystery Authors Festival and we had the dog and the pet friendly hotels closer to Suffolk didn't get very good reviews. Pros: clean rooms, comfy beds, close to a lot of shopping, and the breakfast is good, plus they have a pool and exercise room. Takes pets which is nice. Clean with normal size rooms. We were very comfortable. The staff was friendly even with a tropical storm. Breakfast was nothing special but was welcomed. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Go out to eat. Continental breakfast was awful and staff were rude. Out of everything early in the breakfast and "just eat something else" only cereal and bread products available out of meat and eggs. No receipt received as the computer wasn't working. Promised to send it to me. Two days later still have received the receipt. Also charged twice for the same room. Haven't been able to get anyone to answer the phone to correct it.

I liked the hotel it was clean ,very helpful and friendly staff, indoor pool and hot tub, pet friendly, WiFi, hot breakfast in the mornings. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again. My wife and I have stayed here frequently. It is a dog friendly hotel near many restaurants and a shopping mall. Staff typically has a very good attitude. Rooms are clean, and the breakfast is good. We'll definitely continue to stay here when in Chesapeake.

Like all of the Hampton Inns we have stayed in this one is top notch. Complimentary late check out so I could come back and shower after a race. Great breakfast starts at 6 a.m., early enough to fuel up before the race.

What an awesome stay. Every employee we meet was all smiles and hellos. Everyone wanted to make sure we were taken care of and felt welcome. Check-in was a pleasure, our room was super clean and comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, housekeeping staff were sweet as could be. It took a lot of consideration to give this here place an "average" rating. In fact it is an average of the "very good" or "excellent" rating I'd give it for the night before, and "terrible" or "poor" for the morning after. We were on our way to the Outer Banks, NC, when Hurricane Matthew changed our plans. We went to plan "B" and found accommodations in Chesapeake so we could still visit friends and be a short distance from Virginia Beach. A little noise from the post office next door (very early). Some rooms smell from a recent storm which leaked water inside. Check first. Was quickly moved after I brought it to their attention. Would still stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times while visiting family in Chesapeake. This time we arrived in the middle of heavy rain and wind owing to hurricane Matthew. The hotel was clean, well run and in this difficult time the staff did all they could to make sure we were safe and well cared for.

I was glad therw was availability with no reservation. They are located near lots of restaurants. The room was clean, the shower was nice and hot and the air and heat both seemed to work. It was not too loud and the bed was quite comfortable.

This is the second time I've stayed here and it was a very comfotable visit. I stay for business so I don't take advantage of some of the facilities, but the complimentary breakfast is nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating with whatever small requests that I made. The price is relatively low comparatively.

Hotel was as expected from a Hampton inn..from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff ..they were all very accommodating and went out if their way to help us out. Stephany in particular was always there for us

We requested a non-smoking room. The room we got had been smoked in. As soon as I laid down on the bed, my allergies kicked in (I'm allergic to cigarette-type smoke). The window had bird poop smeared across it. We changed rooms, but the damage had been done. I got sick during the entire trip.

My family and I stayed down there last weekend and we had a great time. The pool was clean and the rooms were great. Breakfast was the standard fare. The staff was very nice and we plan on using the hotel again when we go there in the spring.

The hotel was conveniently located and easily accessible, I would stay here again. The room was large and well appointed. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected. It would be nice to have a beef or turkey option. A hotel bar would be nice too, but overall, this is a nice place to stay.

I thought I'd hear the traffic from Battlefield Blvd. but we didn't. I was very pleased with the friendly hotel staff and the breakfast wait staff lady. We had a spacious room and it was convenient to almost any store you needed to go to.

From the Front desk to Nancy in Breakfast to the housekeeping staff this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Ultra clean, great breakfast selections (complimentary) and the housekeeping even folds the towels like a high end hotel! For the price this is the very best hotel in the country!

This was the most pleasurable stay at a pet friendly hotel I have ever had. We travel from Florida to NJ multiple times a year as well as visiting our children from Va to Idaho to Vt to SC and always travel with two cats. This hotel was wonderful and we will stay there again for sure.

The purpose of my trip was surgery for my dog that he could not get in our home state. It was a very stressful time for me and my furry friend. The staff at the Hampton Inn were most kind, friendly and very accommodating to both of us and I can not thank them enough.
