We spent one night, but would stay again. Room very well appointed and comfortable in. Front desk staff had a friendly, welcoming response to any question. Breakfast had something for light or hungry and coffee was good - not always the case in hotels. Plenty of parking and very up to date room.

I had a great stay at the Hampton Inn Charlottesville in India Road. The staff was fun and engaging and helpful. The rooms were VERY clean and I like the design of the bathrooms. Breakfast was good as well. My kids love the waffles. Too bad we came a week before the pool opened! It looked very inviting. Great Job Staff!

We must admit that we stayed at the Hampton Inn because the price was so much less than the other hotels in the area. Well, this was a fantastic choice as everything was first class, we were blown away at the quality at such a reasonable price. No doubt, when we come back to visit this fantastic area we will for sure stay at the Hampton Inn.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good. But if i could mention one thing that isn't changeable, i dislike the bathroom facing the bed very much. I also did not like the sliding bathroom door. It all gave a sence of no privacy. But the employees were really nice and the hotel was nice.

My family and I stayed at this hotel which was a very clean hotel with friendly staff. The only negatives included the extremely small room size for a family and the breakfast. We could barely pass each other in the room as it was so tight. The eggs on the breakfast buffet were powdered eggs made into an omelet. Not appealing. Otherwise, friendly staff, extremely clean and update rooms, and ease of check in.

We had two rooms for 2 days. The rooms were very nice, fresh and clean. The bathrooms was great and they had all we needed. If I'm going to say one thing, I would mention the breakfast. The food was OK, but I would prefer having breakfast with real silverware, not plastic! And real plates not paper!!! The breakfast area was also a little too crowded and tight. The location is good and easy to find! Will definitely recommend this hotel!

This is by far the best Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. Brand-spanking-newly renovated in 2016. Many Hampton Inns claim renovation, but usually the improvements are limited to the lobby/breakfast area. This hotel renovated the rooms as well, incorporating fresh design elements geared to the best use of space as well as the convenience of the guests. The lobby/breakfast area is also newly redone, and the hotel offers 4 PM cheese/crackers and cookies, as well as the always good Hampton Inn bre... Read more

This Hotel appears to be quite dated. Most of the Hotels were booked out by the time i decided where to stay so not a lot of choices available for this night. Room is very small, but works OK. The biggest problem I had with this Hotel other than the above is that the room smelled a little of dampness. I know they have had a lot of rain in the area and in fact it rained heavily over the night I stayed, so hopefully it was just that. The humidity was very high and clothing was damp in the morning... We stayed here for one night. It was a very nice hotel with a large outdoor pool. The kids really liked swimming, although it had rained on and off during the day, so the water was cold. This Hampton Inn charges the same as others in the chain but should not! The rooms are so small that there is no closet. The door to the bathroom is like a barn door and would not stay closed unless you locked it. Charlottesville is my second home in the autumn. I spend 7-10 nights a year in this hotel and would highly recommend it to all. This particular trip I arrived early (a room was ready), I left extremely early (coffee and breakfast were ready) and each time I was greeted with a great team members smile. The location is fantastic between The Corner and the Downtown Mall; both are an easy walk from this location on Main Street.

Just what you look for in a Hampton. Clean and quiet rooms. Good breakfast. A few nearby chain restaurants and a growing shopping area nearby. Hampton Inns always seem to meet the traveler's need without being too cheap/low quality or too expensive and pretentious.

This hotel had the typical Hampton Inn quality (clean, comfortable, friendly staff), and some differences. Apparently this hotel has some new touches. There is engineered hardwood in the lobby. The room has no closet, but hangars on one wall behind a large curtain. The bathroom door is a sliding "barn door" (completely functional). There are plenty of electrical outlets around the room. There are no drawers per se, only metal shelves that pull out. Each of the two nightstands has a pull-out sect... Read more

Your stay at the Hampton was excellent. The rooms were clean and the staff was excellent. The hotel was central to restaurants, shopping and the university. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Charlottesville area.

The hotel itself is a very good hotel. Unfortunately I was here on business and needed to do work while I was in the hotel that required the use of the internet. From my room I could not get any of my four devices to even connect to the hotel's WiFi despite paying for the premium internet service. I notified the management but they were unable to resolve the problem so I went four days without the ability to work from my room. Very discouraging. Again, the hotel is a good one and the staff ... Stayed here during UVA Family Weekend. Hotel was full but they were able to accommodate us with a handicapped room after some confusion with reservation. Staff was very busy but found time to greet each guest when they entered and left hotel. Location was great but rooms and bathroom spaces are small with little walking/dressing room.

This is the 1st time my wife and I had been back to town in many years. The Hampton Inn gave us the quality we expected with the Hilton Properties. Clean, nicely decorated room. This hotel is right where you need to be for major restaurants and shopping. With the traffic on Emmett St & Route 29 getting increasingly worse, this hotel is located at lights allowing easy entry either north or south. Prices are high considering its Charlottesville. ...the price you pay for the Hilton standard.

This hotel just finished renovations in January 2016 and these upgrades are modern and efficient. Having stayed at a different Hampton on our trip, this hotel offered afternoon cookies, lemonade, fruit, cheese and crackers; in addition to the tea/coffee service. Rooms had hardwood-appearing tile in the entry way and bathroom of each room, updated Decor and a very trendy bathroom layout. Even the towels and TP were displayed with trendy elegance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely... Read more
